The day i tamed a bee, i got eaten by a megatherium. That was the end of bee taming that day. A day later when casually strolling in the redwoods, as one does, i could hear a bee. I now am a bee momma. She's an angry child and stings me when i come and say hi, unless i look like a wish version of a houseplant. She's on housearrest for now.
Ha ha ha the random bees just flying around is something new. Was it a spicy megatherium? Those ones are savage

Awesome video i played alot of ase an seen the guides on bees for all different maps but with asa wanted to look an see new videos being made an make sure there isnt any changes watched 5 videos before i found this one an was shocked none of them mentioned bug repellent at all i thouggt maybe i was mistaken an its not needed but from what i remember the queen wont stop shooting out drones an stays angry an ive seen ppl say they run in fast no ghillie spam e button an it works but in all my years that has never worked for me i have hard enough time when fully prepared woth ghillie an bug spray but maybe im just unlucky or to slow anyways very helpful guide super relaxing to listen to an learn from very well done :) youve earned sub and like from me by far best guide ive seen for bees in asa didnt feel like video was dragged out an over complicated but also wasnt rushed which is very nice so very well done video thabk you for taking time to share this :) have great day looo forward to seeing more asa content i just randomly found your channel looking for videos on bees so not sure what kind of content you mainly cover but regardless looking forward to seeing more :)

Awesome tutorial. I was gonna make one because I feel like everyone over complicates it. Your tips are great. I'm a rusher. No ghillie, no spary, run and spam E. Would love to try the c4 that does look fun!

Oh yeah it super handy and not used enough
You can fly up to a wild quetzel and lure it to the ground by throwing honey out while flying next to it. It will hover over the ground, transfixed by the honey, throw some gates around it, and tranq it out :)

you can attract the Quetzal too with honey to make it land on ground and you can trap and tame it on ground without all the hustle up in the sky.

I also figured out a method last night involving the bear (no not Halsin from BG3) I built a ramp up to the nest and placed two ceilings, then walling the nest in a box while leaving the ramp entrance open so my bear could BEARLY fit her head in. I had her smash the hive, then I placed a doorway and door. Voila! The yass queen was trapped and I could tame her before she flew up into the stratosphere like Icarus chasing the sun. I have a clip I may upload it to clarify further if people want.

Awesome, thank you so much! I couldnt find the bee at the spot here but found one wandering around the west green ob entrance so im guessing they can be at either. I was having issues with the C4 so this made things loads easier 😁 (fyi my kid took over my youtube account 😂)

As of 27th Dec 2023 - This has changed and depending on the Queen it may take 1 or more kibbles. Nice thing is once you get the 1st kibble, you get a taming marker. The longer you take between kibbles, the quicker the taming bar goes down. So a lot more difficult and not as simple as running up to a queen and spamming E for a quick once tame. I can only assume they have increased the tame requirements or the Queens have levels and hence effects taming levels.
How long it takes to tame depends on your taming speed or your max dino settings ?
You can see in my first tame when using rare flower on official I needed more than one. If you are playing on 1x with higher difficulty or higher level Dino you may need more than one kibble

@@Crabbytron mostly the location of wandering bees, my save didnt spawn with bee hives and I was losing hope that I would have to spawn a queen bee in with commands

@@Crabbytron yeah, but it is getting better with each patch, it's probably because I got asa when released and the hives might've had problems spawning during launch
Love your work. I haven't found any bees though. Was this unintentional and patched or should I keep looking?
It could have been a quiet patch I found some a week or so ago. If not then maybe go for a hive
@Crabbytron I actually found 2 hives after my comment here. 1st queen glitches and wouldn't give me the prompt and disappeared. 2nd hive wouldn't blow up so I just stole the honey lol. I'll try again another time of course.

Ive had my bear parked on a structure I built on a redwood with 2 hives on it. I think it's time to tame them now.
If you have the rare flower go for it. Bears are amazing!

I’m trying to catch one so I put the flowers in my fast slot then I use the flower right on the bee after it comes out of the hive?
You will get a prompt like Y in controller or E on pc to feed it to her. It can be a little glitchy sometimes I just spam E
This is a great guide just wish these dang bugs are so tedious to tame. Especially since their hives are always out of bear reach
Yeah did you get making a ramp? It’s so annoying
Guys, if you’re on PS5 you have to spam triangle to feed the bee, but it takes a while to get the feed screen to come up, so be patient. It only took me 3 days and 10 bee hives to get 1 😅…I think some of the bees are glitched because of server issues, but don’t give up!

Will a hive function if it is clipped through a wall? I have a hive full of rare flowers sitting on a stone foundation and its not producing honey. It partially sticks through a wall and that's the only thing I can think of that might be a problem.
Oh I am not sure. It shouldn't but you could destroy the hive. It will turn into a bee again and then you can regrab the hive and put it back down
@@Crabbytron found the problem. I maxed out the slots with flowers. You need to leave space for the honey. It doesn't allow for overslotting.

How many pots of honey can your tamed bee hive produce in the inventory? You might’ve said that but I didn’t catch it
It depends on server settings make sure you have rare flower in there. You should get a lot over time
question when i finde a hive i destroy it but no queen bee comes out after i destroyed it the bee drones came attacking me but no queen be was in hive

Maybe it’s bugged. They do fly off so you could have missed it
I don't know if this is a console issue, but I just can't klick on it to feed her, been running around for hours and yes I have full ghillie + bug repellant and rare flowers in the last slot. I tried with hives and with free roaming bees. I just can't get one
I had issues on scorched earth and current they are saying that bees need to be patched. Try spamming the key even without the prompt. I had to do that playing SE recently and aim more to the head of the bee. If she a real mad at you. You may not get the prompt
If anyone can give me any tips that would be helpful. I've been having problems taming them. I've done everything it says, ghilli, bug spray and the flowers in the last hot bar. But when I run up to the bee it doesn't give me the option in blue to tame her.
Keep trying switch between the 1st and 3rd person view. Aim for the body or the head head to get the prompt. Some bees are buggy though and you might need to go for another

I've noticed if I'm wearing a full tek suit I take damage from opening the hive, but I don't get the debuff.

The prompt hardly ever pops up. I was wondering if there was a timer or they had to spawn a certain amount of drones before the prompt but it just seems your lucks gotta be in.
Try aiming for another part of the body the head perhaps
Can't find beehives on locations from ASE. And I've never seen a roaming bee queen, is it server rules or vanila?
I am finding them both on server and single player. Did you try all those spots? If not go for the hive.

How does this look so easy, when I try I can't get it to eat the flower. Is there something I'm missing?
Is it in the last slot of your hot bar? I do show in the video a time where it was bugging for me and I couldn’t get the prompt to feed it.
Try switching between 1st and 3rd person
Do wondering bees only come out at certain times? Can only find Hives no wondering bees :(
Oh maybe it was fixed in the latest patch. Were there hives in the locations where the wandering bees were ?
@@Crabbytron No there wasnt hives either . i managed to find one at the green OB but not at the place you showed . the one i found was at the other side . the side that has the ramp going down to the water . but she couldnt be tamed rest of the locations i found no wondering bees , found load of hives in redwood tho so i just followed your steps during that event . Thanks for the video really helped a lot

Can confirm the wandering bee by green ob…of course only seen when I haven’t had rare flowers or kibble 😂

Taming a bee yup ! On scorched I found it a bit buggy and had to approach the head to get the e prompt

I looped around all 5 placed twice and didn't see a single one. I don't know if I'm just super unlucky or they got rid of them.

Spent 3 hours looking for a queen. Finding nothing I give up on this broken game. This game doesn't work properly. Can't believe they're allowed to sell such broken games. Enemies don't respawn. Resources don't respawn. Now this.. just forget it. This game isn't worth playing.
Are you on single player or server. Were there hives?
