I went to a boarding school called Thanks to Calvary that bordered the Piney there in Devils Elbow. Some nights we’d hear hundreds of coyotes howl in the hills seemingly all around us. They have no respect for ppl and it's wrong to mess with anyone grave I have stolen stuff I ain't proud of too feed my habbit to drugs I never would take anything from a grave
Some of the local's descendants should know about her.. Lots of mountain healer were called witches. My own great granny was called as such but all she did was tell fortunes, a mountain woman. I wish I had known her...

Doesn't take much to go from being a healer to a witch in the Ozarks. Be careful who you help, you can end up with a finger pointed at your back or worse.
You're only talking but, I can feel the music. People are cruel. The Ada witch is another one. The woman who was suspected to be her, had her grave vandalized terribly, even when it had been proven that she was not.

This is a true story I am going to tell you. My husband was drunk and wanted to go fishing so he took us out to the Mayfield cemetery . My dog got out of car but strangely she jumped right back in. I had a bad feeling so I tutned my car around just incase I needed to leave. My husband took his fishing pole and can . Ot was not to long he comes running back muddy all over,no fishing pole or can. He said lets get out of here ,something pushed me down 3 time and held me. I laughed and said your drunk you probably just fell down . He said BS i know when i am being pushed and held, i am npt stupid! Well as we was leaving I seen a bright light in the sky through the trees then,my car lights went deam i could barely see road I thought it was the alternator going bad. I didnt thonk we would make it home..but my car was fine the next day never replace anything. ??? Idk what happened...that is the back side of Fort Wood military base so maybe the light in sky was a experiment. ?
There's 4 different songs used in that stretch. 00:00 - 00:35 is 'Chanting Witches' by Jon Björk. 00:36 - 01:15 is 'Lurken and Craven' by Polar Nights. 01:16 - 03:43 is 'Baptized and Buried' by Will Harrison. 03:43 - is 'Spirit of The West' by Roy Williams.
Good video by nothing is more annoying than people making stuff up as they go along. Maybe the headstones were cracked bc they fell over or bc they're old and the earth shifts and they fall over. Doesn't mean in was retaliation. This is how rumors get started and twisted.
@@BakerOverland Sorry for confusion, Michael and Mary Lou Lake were victims of deep level Occultism in Ozark's. Question was in regard to this video being part 5. Was wondering where the other uploads are? 1-4 Thanks for responding
The vandalism had nothing to do with it. Rowdy people doing rowdy things. Teens, drunks, etc. Hunting location with places to camp, and a biker bar ... The local library has some information on her and her daughter.
If you started your video/adventure thing that your doing, at the Mayfield cemetery itself, then you well know you already passed Eliza's grave in doing so. Stop playing... You said you didn't keep directions exactly where her exact grave was last time you were here, but you gonna keep going on and hope for the best. Then your footage of your journey to find the grave was about 20 miles back tracked back over to where the whole river side is, by the bridge you have to pass when you originally came in and went to the cemetery. That being said, you have now not only passed Eliza's grave once, but now twice. And are now heading there thrice . You can't get to Mayfield cemetery without passing right by Eliza. Why did you want people to think you were going on a bigger adventure than you are. Weird.
Great observations! I actually started making the video several weeks before the opening shots at Mayfield. We shot the entire thing at night but sadly I lost all the footage. So I reshot everything a few weeks later during the day. The first thing I shot was Eliza’s grave. However, I edited the video out of sequence in order for the story to flow better. When I film the projects I go into them with a shot list but do not always shoot chronologically. Some of the shots in this video aren’t even in Missouri! (The river shot I’m driving by is in Arkansas actually). I love that you noticed and commented on that. You sound like the type of person that would understand and do well in film production. Thank you for watching and commenting.

Vandalism. So sad and wrong. The cemetery where I have family has been vandalized. Our plot has a corner marker that has been stolen twice. A friend was with me and spotted it once. It disappeared again. Why do people do this is beyond me?
Disrespecting the dead is one of the lowest levels a human can stoop. Hate seeing that kind of utter nonsense.
Yeah I would love to talk to more of the locals. I actually tried but the ones I reached out to weren’t interested in talking on camera.
@@BakerOverland No dont take a camera, compliment their veg gardens etc Then ask them. 1905 is not that long ago as for recent ancester. A granddad or older uncle or aunts my know something. I kow they called my granny a witch but she was not, only did good things and did read cards but telling and retelling can by the time it gets told with passing of time, they were a devil etc..
Doesn't take much to go from being a healer to a witch in the Ozarks. Be careful who you help, you can end up with a finger pointed at your back or worse.
Good to know.
You're only talking but, I can feel the music.
People are cruel. The Ada witch is another one. The woman who was suspected to be her, had her grave vandalized terribly, even when it had been proven that she was not.
Hate that. Yes, some people are very cruel. Thanks for watching and commenting friend!
I live clost to skull bone next to devils canon in Tn, there just names from old times nothing creepy linked to them. Most of these names are just cool sounding or for keeping other ethnicities away not that I agree with that but it was the purpose of the names. Atleast for skull bone I mean they still have the tree with a 20ft branck id say another tree personally where they hung ppl.....
Wild! Devil’s Elbow just was named due to the bend on the river. A “devil of an elbow”.
Now that is a wild story. It definitely makes you wonder…
Local groups do use it as a ritual site.
Interesting…
🎉
Decided to do an early release for members.
Does anyone have the title of the music from the beginning to about 4-5 min? I’m loving the sound but I don’t see it in the description 🥲
@@BakerOverland thank you so much! Great tunes and great video!
A little stitious..lol. Michael Scott
Had to. 🤣
@BakerOverland I would have too.!! Lol. Sneak more Office references in!
Good video by nothing is more annoying than people making stuff up as they go along. Maybe the headstones were cracked bc they fell over or bc they're old and the earth shifts and they fall over. Doesn't mean in was retaliation.
This is how rumors get started and twisted.
That’s why I asked people to tell me what they think. If it was natural or intentional. I literally say that in the video…
Not satanic star, has to be upside down to claim such a thing. Pentagram upright is not evil.
Good to know.
Witches don't believe in a Devil. I can say that because I am a Witch, formally from the Missouri Ozarks.
Thanks for the info!
Haunted
Probably.
Well, if you were a medicine person or healer you were considered a witch in most places. Especially the highly religious area's.
Wow. That’s pretty crazy.
Mary Lou Lake, where are the other segments?
Not sure what you are asking.
@@BakerOverland Sorry for confusion, Michael and Mary Lou Lake were victims of deep level Occultism in Ozark's.
Question was in regard to this video being part 5. Was wondering where the other uploads are? 1-4
Thanks for responding

@@BakerOverland thank you! very much
The vandalism had nothing to do with it. Rowdy people doing rowdy things. Teens, drunks, etc. Hunting location with places to camp, and a biker bar ...
The local library has some information on her and her daughter.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing!
Needs Holy water sprinkled on it.
You think?
I. Think. Intentional
Same.
Music intro plz🙏sounds like "600lbs of sin" but I don't know...😉
It's called, "Chanting Witches" by Jon Björk www.epidemicsound.com/track/O8Wfif28bA/

The gospel of our salvation. Spread the news. JESUS IS RETURNING ANY MINUTE. AMEN

That last part about Devil's Elbow, the myth is a lot of crap. :P

Seems like a waste of a trip for only a few minutes at the gravesite of a so called witch - would have liked more backstory on all this
Fair enough. Maybe I’ll do a follow up?
Not the name of the town. I'm a local. It's the name of a stretch of road. And bend in the river loggers used. There WAS a biker bar.
Wish the biker bar was open! Looked really cool.
@BakerOverland had great burgers back in the day. Lol. Had bras all over the ceiling lol I'm sure there are photos online somewhere lol
@@tamaska2000 Sounds like my kind of place lol
In 1892 women who practiced WITCHCRAFT SORCERY OR BLACK MAJIC.
Not sure what this means.
Or if you refused to sleep with a man they would also call you a witch 😂
