Simon you are quite correct about the lazer lights you do cut a section out of grill and install brackets which are moulded to fit grill contour I have a set installed on my disco 4 seriously seriously bright superb lights 👍

Thanks for the video Simon, what gems You have found: HWK 434V is a 110 FEP (Fully Engineered Prototype) from 1979. 48 copies were built (coincidentally 48, like 48 prototypes in 1948 SERIES ONE) from May 79 to February 80. They served to test different specifications and optional equipment. CVN 818Y was built in 1982 and is a Pilot Production Stage Two, the forerunners of the 1983 ONE TEN. It's interesting because it has headlamp washers, which didn't make it to the final series, but were tested on a few prototypes. If You look at the ONE TEN launch Fleet they had CWK....Y plates , after this one. Greetings
Long time ago, but I've only just noticed this comment, sorry! I fitted that wheel because it suited my driving position better, although it does mean a long reach to the stalk controls! I had to machine the centre out and fit an aftermarket boss to suit the column. Unfortunately I never got around to implementing the buttons on the wheel, and the car is now sold, so no idea what the new owner will do. He said he was inclined to refit the original, which went with the deal, but he's a good bit shorter and with shorter reach than me! Most fun car I have ever built, but I'm too old to crawl under it any more... 🙁
George is good on the camera - it was good to see lots of new Defenders and being accepted by the whole Land Rover community - and it really is a community !
Shame to miss this show, and interesting to hear your comment about the new 90 without back seats. I have a new D90 and the original boot space is comical, so the back seats are permanently folded down so the dog loves it.
It would be really good to have a 2 seat 90 - not a commercial but with a flat boot and side windows - that would be a great place for 2 people + their dog + luggage ... just forget the back seats and have a nice level platform.. maybe i should make a conversion kit.

Not sure I likes the Zanzibar colour on that last D4 - my favourites are the metallis grey or silver. Really sad I could not make this year, so thanks for this. I have heard that there will be an LR show at Newbury - will have to find out about this one...

That looks a nice weekend..lots to look at! I configured a new RR Sport 2022/23 Autobiography P440eand was mildly surprised that even adding tow bat, deployable side steps, full Meridian 29 speaker entertainment, all the traction bits, lots of smaller bits , wheel upgrade etc, it landed at £113030 which is crazy but not as much as I expected! One thing though, you now have to pay £300 for the electric tailgate even on this model!! I think Varesine Blue might be good with Deep Garnet and Ebony leather perhaps..BUT I have not taken enough brave pills yet and there is a house to sell before crazy ideas can form!! Keep exploring…!!😀😀😀😀😀Richard
@@L663 I know…and last night I looked in Guy Salmon’s window and a new but 2021 model RR was £138,000! A new “old” RR Sport SVR £110.000 and outside a collection of RR Sports 68/69/70 and all with 30,000+ miles but still £68,000 upwards! An SE “Stig” in black and a D240 with 8900 miles was £81,000…the prices are just madness but if you keep reading them enough, the effect wears off! A new RRS SE a dynamic is just under £13000 deposit and a PCP of £749 per month but I could not stand paying that much out..I would rather catch the bus! So next year…or even this year…I don’t know quite what to do yet. 🧐🧐😳😳🫢🫢🫢😀
Lots of wonderful Land Rovers and Range Rovers. I thoroughly enjoyed that. I was never a huge fan of the Range Rover since the first time I set eyes on one as a child when they first appeared. Over the decades, I did warm more to the Range Rover Sport as I preferred its rear design over the ordinary Range Rover. However, I have to say that the new Range Rover is absolutely stunning. The satin finish really sets it off and I have to agree with Land Rover's marketing garb of 'the most desirable Range Rover'. I also like the new Range Rover Sports. Range Rover isn't my style so I'll never buy one (even if I had the money) so I'll stick with my Discovery, although I will admire the RR from afar. Brilliant design by Land Rover.

@@L663 yeah but most people when there r a left seal and right seal one is leaking y change only the leaking one just change the 2 side ,one of the leaks I saw u laugh at looks like it's a accel or hub seal just change 2 out b4 u come to a show like that , question do u know if they drove all those trucks there or a few came on tow truck over night b4 big shot out to u guys great great show

Just wondered, with the Grenadier being available this month, do you have any plans to buy one and do accessories and upgrades? Would make great viewing and you'd be in at the start with parts!
Its an odd one ... I was behind the Grenadier at the start.. but the final product has deviated so far from the original plan I am struggling to see its real place in the world. For some people it will be perfect but I am struggling to feel an affinity for the car and the brand.
@@L663 Initially I loved the idea of the Grenadier, the group of blokes, the pub, it's Britishness....but I do feel a bit duped, it's as if they used the union Jack to launch their product and then sold out, I've no doubt the 4x4 system will be good, steyr know their stuff but I am disapointed with the engine choice and sad that they gave Wales two fingers to build in France.
The Freelander 2 was overlooked at the show - but i did talk to several owners and get some good product ideas. Also we are launching our Freelander 2 glovebox fix this week ... so we still care about the Freelander 2
Now have i opened a can of worms here ? if your statement is correct then why do Land Rovers make red rear calipers on the model X and also sell Black rear calipers for the Defender and offer blue rear callipers as an upgrade ?

It looks like the hard dash RRC (w/ the 4.2 SC motor) at 4:17 has a P38 steering wheel! Have not seen that.

You always miss out ine of the biggest clubs on site the Range Rover P38 South Coast club. We are in the arena every year as well.

All the oil leaks in the parking lot was pretty funny until I remember I own a Land Rover as well. Ah well, the price we pay for being cool, I guess.

Yes you are correct - this gives the clearance for the swing of the lower edge
