Hey, great video! I too have a 6MT M2 and currently have the Fabspeed Sports Cat like Sveeny, I have been considering Remus' offering for quite awhile now and this video was more motivation to get it! My question is about your headlights, have you modified them in some way?
JC L thanks for the feedback, and I’m glad this video helped you! You really won’t regret the sound compared to the stock system. It is nice to have full control over the valves, regardless of drive mode. Regarding the headlights, I have them coded for variable light distribution, but otherwise they are the stock LCI LED headlights. They sure are bright ;)
Sounds incredible, great video! I also have a 6MT M2 with a high flow sport cat already installed. Now I'm thinking of upgrading my stock exhaust to Remus... However, what I really love about the stock exhaust is the very sonorous howl it has at around 3500 rpm... It sounds so refined. Does it still have that? Difficult to tell from the video (despite being a really good exhaust video!)
Thanks! Remus definitely still retains some of the stock exhaust characteristics, but the tone is quite different. I would say it is deeper, throatier, and sometimes has some subtle rasp to it. The traditional inline 6 howl is still there around 3k rpm. I would say with the valves closed it actually quiets the exhaust up a bit compared to the stock system (with high flow cat), and with the valves opened it gives another order of magnitude of volume beyond what you’re used to. I promise you won’t regret the Remus system if you choose it.
@@benradler thank you for that very descriptive answer! I'm actually in contact with someone who's likely going to sell his to me... :-) Really looking forward!
Sveeny excellent. You absolutely will not regret it. Make sure you purchase the cg precision valve controller, which allows independent control of the exhaust valve regardless of driving mode (comfort/sport). You can actually program the garage door buttons on the mirror as the valve open and close buttons!
@@benradler that sounds very cool! Actually, I have the app "Bimmerlink". Which shows me just about every value and parameter you could think of in real time on my phone. It also allows toggling Active Sound as well as Valve controll on/off... But that button really sounds like an even cleaner solution!
Hey man, this might be a little out of the blue but years ago I think you posted a video called "What is California Car Culture" or something, is it still up? I remember thinking it was really high quality editing and fun storytelling, would love to watch it again
Bart Brzezicki yeah I suspect that might be the issue. The video contains some music I obviously don’t have the license to haha 😂 so perhaps Korea is more strict on that than the US

Ben Radler thanks! Bummer, looks like it got blocked due to copyright :(
Bart Brzezicki oh interesting what country are you in?
Ben Radler I live in Korea, lemme try and set my VPN to the states to see if that helps
