- In this episode my friends and I went to a huge 300+ car meet at Daikokufuto then went on a Wangan Run and checked out street drifting. What a crazy night.

japan street drifting and US sideshows are so different. Japans street drifters still hold a respect for the spot. Sideshows turn into crashes/shootouts/ and a mob mentality.

I have a genuine question. Is it normal to have a ducktail AND a wing on a S2000? Wouldn’t it look better with the ducktail gone and the wing placed further back?
No but I like how it looks better this way. To your point, I’ve got a set of custom one-off wing stands coming in to address exactly that, though IMO it still looks fine with the current stands 😌
I think placing the wing too far back is a common mistake that throws off the aesthetic proportions.

I've Been whaching ur stuff for a few months know and it has completely changed my perspective of Japan and the culture within it i have always loved cars and anything with a engine and ur content has made japan a go to destination when I get older just to explore the car culture and the people within it.

I find it very interesting the fact that the drfiters of japan managed to negotiate with the cops about how street drifting should be carried out. I think it makes sense for the police to allow it to some extent, cause cracking down on it completely would mean erasing a part of japanese culture.. and it's also easier for the police to monitor what's going on this way
from the videos i’m watching the cops shut it down quick, i doubt they care about if it’s culture, it’s the fact that it’s unsafe in general. i’m all for illegal street racing even if it’s wrong, i saw one where some dude in a mix max color s13 gets chased by a cop lmao he did 2 loud ass drifts too 😂

The car culture over there is leagues ahead of what’s in the US for sure.
I can appreciate how many older cars are still on the road there. That said, I do miss the days when it was 5 guys in a parking lot with 3 cars between us for doing highway runs. And cars were throwaway cheap back then, while at the same time, everybody drove a hoopty that was a bit of a neighborhood effort.

When I visited Tokyo, that's what I exactly felt - like being in a movie all the time. It's amazing how they manage to create this environment without even trying. Very difficult to replicate.
