I am the 5 thousandth like. And Chef Ramsey does laugh and he can be laid back, but it's a show where he's usual hardcore adamantine self is the one on the clock.
This was the first season, I think. And he started off very brutal, and very personal, to the point where a meme couldn't be made of the insults. Too brutal for a TV persona, as he wasn't far into the TV world at that point. Should check out the part where he tries the contestants first dishes as its very uncomfortable and mean. Necessary, I suppose, in the way he'd want a kitchen run to perfection. But he's actually gotten slightly softer in the years since on these shows, despite the shouting and swearing. He's also probably just chilled out way more since then as he is more a TV personality than a full time chef in a restaurant under extreme pressure every day. So yeah, especially in this season, it was RARE to see Gordon smile, let alone laugh at something
yeah I watched season 1 of this show on hulu, and the next one they have is like 14 or something, and its a stark difference, modern american reality tv is so dumbed down and garbage now
I'm American and I've always felt that modern American Hell's Kitchen and American Kitchen Nightmares are ass compared to how the British version is. All the unnecessary emphasis on drama has always been sickening to me.
@@ReloGP14th Plently wrong, what would a fat named "dewberry" fantasize with an actor who would probably bully you in the back of his head? At least be realistic
I think in a way Gordon had that effect on him, because I remember how this first season went down with Michael being the winner, he was given the offer of becoming Gordon's apprentice, he was that impressed with him, but from what I've heard the guy had a downward spiral sometime after the show was aired, a spiral that Gordon knows all too well from his personal ties with his family, more specifically if I'm remembering right his brother.
This is always fun. Also, I feel like Sous Chef Scott was more laidback in Season 1, I’m seeing him now getting almost as regularly tough as Chef Ramsay in Season 6.
Its interesting tho how the contestants quality has changed too! The first seasons are more unpredictable than the new ones. But I love how the trend has changed, although Ramsay's teaching is the same, they followed the trend and the new winners are more diverse, as well as the food trend in the show.
If I’m also not mistaken the first couple seasons many of the contestants had usually little to no experience compared to anyone even close to a experienced professional chef so naturally it the expectations where not as high. Also, I know this from someone who met one of the winners in person from the later seasons that many of the outbursts in later seasons by Gordon and other contestants were greatly exaggerated and suggested by producers to boost ratings like many reality shows. There’s still real outbursts and meltdowns but at the same time there’s many cases where it’s made to boost ratings.
Pretty sure that's play on what was said by sgt Hartmann in Full Metal Jacket when Pvt Pyle was mantalling an obstacle. "You climb obstacles like old people fuck"!
I'm just baffled by the fact that a lot of people still doesnt realize that Gordon's laughing is just reused for the 2nd clip from the 1st. In the final service (2nd clip), Gordon was outside the kitchen when Dewberry said the Brad Pitt line. FYKI, I guess.
Even worse, its just the one clip of him laughing spliced over two different scenes. You can tell the second laugh is from the first scene because you can see the bob-hair chick cook in the mirror behind him. In the scene with Brad Pitt's wife, that particular cook isn't even in the kitchen. So Ramsay wasn't even there at all for that joke. Also, the pencil in his ear didn't change positions.

LOL Dr Doofenshmirtz would most certainly agree
Man I love when people quote Doof.... Specially when it's from the movie.
