I was taught this over 10 years ago when I was playing CS 1.6 competitively.. I met a CS 1.6 Pro that told me to take every game seriously even when I'm pubbing or doing DM's. That advice did make me a hell of a lot better
He seriously wanted to knife him, that's his 100% similar to his aggressive plays. For an example, suppose he failed at making plays by aggressively peeking, people would criticize him that he shouldn't have done that coz it wasn't SERIOUS enough, however just because the play didnt work, doesn't mean s1mple didn't acrually mean to do it. What i mean to say that him trying to knife nitro wasn't him fucking around, it was the play that he actually wanted to make, but it failed, coz no 100% is actual 100% percent.
simple alredy make a big dmg to nitro but their teammate still unable to kill him. one ak bullet is enough to kill him but they dont. i dont wanna say its not simple fault but his teammate should kill him(bombla even jumping over the box for no reason after planting the bomb).
Well this have a big lvl of wisdom because you can get is like killing them with one taps and you can look at it as getting this thing in there head metaphoricly speaking that mens that you get in there head and play mind games with theme witch can win you the real game
Really well said Thorin! As summary, players need 3 things : 1. Passion for the game 2. Understanding of the game 3. Practicing. The difference between s1mple and many pros is that he is literally trying everything in any kind of match he is. With what he said, he meant that giving 100% in a every match you are playing, you will grow eventually. If you don't then you're probably missing something of the previous 3 i've mentioned. For example there are some really talented players who really putting their efforts but they are not thinking and that makes them inconsistent in comparison!
@@romanempire4168 I think you know that when you were writing that comment it was stupid but then you told yourself "it's a joke" even though it's a pretty shitty one

Good video thoorin! A saying that's stuck with me is practice doesn't make perfect. Perfect practice makes perfect. The Beatles: All you need is love Thorin: well, not really. You need oxygen, food, and water and plenty of other things. The Beatles: Help! (I need somebody)
s1mple meant that you have to try and play your best every match no matter what to stay consistent, this I believe is VERY true, but trying to knife a player for no reason in a major was kinda dumb
The stories about players like coldzera playing seriously in pugs with his friends that were not good describe this perfectly, part of the reason why na had not been largely successful until recently
I think he's waiting to see if they can be consistent, especially in ZywOo's case. Most people tend to jump into conclusions way too fast, but I think he's more patient in that regard.
People referencing the knife fail: Classic case of "Do as I say, not as I do.", even s1mple's not going to be perfect in his approach of "100% effort 100% of the time."
The era of buttpounder420 has ended. It's possible that in the future he may start a new era, but there can be no denying that this era is over. It's probably Blast who are behind this drop off. Kappa.
listening to this while imagining S1mple throwing multiple games by knife attempts (against cold, agains nitro..). Also on one side you say English is barier for him to express himself, but go have a look on endless clips of how he's beliteling his teammates in russian.

What is so weird about that saying. It is 100% true and i can see that alot of people don't play at their max level in any kind of game. I have played cs like 6000hr and i realized this thing at like the last 2000hr and i could see something like 400% increase in my skill in the game and reading abilities. Another example would be that i recently stopped playing CS and started playing R6 Siege, I have something like 50hr in the game and im platinum player. I always try my very best even if we are losing like 15-8 (CS:GO) or it just seems impossible. What is the point in playing competitive games if u don't try your very best and try to learn from ur successes and failures. Peace.

Yes, to some extent, but practising so long and so effectively got him to the level where he knows that his chances are good enough to hit that noscope that he can go for it. The video explains this.
Do people actually take those sayings as jokes?? If you're only playing seriously when you have to then ofc you'll be sloppy. It totally makes sense to be playing at 100% everytime you play even if you play for fun. You can still play for fun and mess around but still play at your 100% like not half assing peaks and making stupid mistakes. That's when you have people like s1mple who make other CSGO pros look like silvers and then you have other pros who make stupid mistakes. Not saying s1mple doesn't make dumb mistakes (knifing nitr0) but he makes a lot less dumb mistakes compared to other pros even veteran pros. Also with aim and just overall consistency if you're playing your best all the time even if you aren't good you'll naturally be adjusted to playing at that level. You won't have to "get in the zone" you're already naturally prepared. And people taking that s1mple saying as a joke says a lot about the CSGO competitive community and pros. I wonder if people like Zyw0o have the same thought process and I bet you they do. And practicing nose scopes that saying was a bit funny ngl but it makes sense even though noscing is all RNG there is still skill. When it comes to proper crosshair placement, crouching when you shoot, and KennyS even does a blackscope to reduce the amount of RNG as much as possible. If you watch the Flying AWP clip on his 2nd nosc he crouches and I don't think he crouches to dodge I think subconsciously he crouches to reduce nosc spread. s1mple is undoubtedly the smartest player in the game and I think CSGO's hitboxes jewed him over on that nitr0 knife even though it was a dumb play s1mple was still able to get behind nitr0 it was just CSGO's engine didn't count the stab as a backstab even though s1mple was behind him. Welp GG liquid won Edit: thorin saying that practicing noscopes repetitively like that is stupid I don't think s1mple meant that. There's definitely a trick to noscing but I don't think if you practice noscs every day for the rest of your life your noscs will be any straighter than some Silver noscing is RNG you can just practice stuff to diminish as much RNG as possible but in the end RNG is still there.
