Yorkie you're a great salesman. I've ordered the tapo kit to automate lighting the stairs in my house as I appear to be the only qualified person to turn the lights off. Tapo owes you commission as you've now sold me on the led strips to bathe my lounge in tranquil spa lighting. You're brilliant. Ta lots and have a great Christmas 😊
Mate this is the first video, and first time I've seen you - what an astoundingly helpful video. The little incricacies, for example your suggestion to factory reset. I didn't think it could be a factor, as mine is brand new. It simply would not work. Needless to say that fixed it, and I took great pleasure watching the rest of the video. Got yourself a very happy subscriber!
Thanks for this video, it really made my choice to shifting into the Tapo ecosystem a simple one. Will start off simple with the hub and contact sensor first.
I have a few tapo smart plugs set-up and internal cameras, and do not have a Smart Hub, everything works fine. I am now going to set-up a few Light switches, do I need a Smart Hub, as I've not needed one already.
I have a load of TP Link smart bulbs connected to my home mesh WiFi, will this handle just TP link bulbs so they are connected to this hub as opposed to crowding up my network? On the Amazon listing it doesn’t really mention managing bulbs it shows more cameras and doorbells etc.
I'm using a S200D smart button with this H100 hub to control a bunch of Kasa smart plugs via a Smart Action in the Tapo app. It was all easy to set up but the button+hub isn't reliable for control. The button is supposed to turn all the smart plugs on or off each time I press it. But about 20% of the time I press it, at random some plugs don't turn on or off. But these same plugs are 100% reliably controlled when I use the Tapo app to either control them individually, or through a shortcut I created in that same app.
Hi there, please tell me i have two tapo hub one in my home and another one in my office both are connect with diffrent wifi network. Of course my house and office are not at same place so can i connect both together in your tapo app
Thanks for the review! I plan to use this as my home alarm (combined with door sensors). However, I kinda hesitant because of the volume I think is not loud enough as an alarm (At least in this video) If you set it to the high volume, and the alarm triggered, do you think the sound volume loud enough to alert the neighborhood? Thanks!
Nice one. I've got one of these along with a door sensor arriving tomorrow. I've already got tapo colour bulbs in each room. So I'm hoping to set up some automation where by when I open my front door various lights come on. I also like the idea of a simple alarm if the front door is opened when it shouldn't. I really like the tp link kit and this looks like a really decent system to build upon 👍🏻
Hello, I have Tap T110 (door sensor). I have connected with H100 and alarm properly. However, I would like to make notification for my mobile device, when I am out of home. Is is possible? Thank you
The door sensor will not work with out it and you will not receive any notifications with out it plus it has a speaker for audio sounds @@danielwilder7835
Hello there. I have a question for you. Does Tapo H100 have an alarm clock feature? I have Tapo L530 bulb and Tapo C200 Security Camera. When I buy the H100, will the L530 bulb turn on automatically by running the Security Camera as a motion sensor?
@@YorkiesBitsandBobs I'm considering buying the H100, but I don't know if the bulb will light up when the C200 camera detects motion without the Tapo Smart Motion Sensor T100. if you try this could you let me know here?

Welcome aboard! Thanks for the comment
Thanks mate you take all the hard work out of setting it up
Thanks, Ronnie, it's not the easies bit of software to get your head around

Good luck, I hope it goes well for you
Amazing video!! Defiantly gonna buy one to use as an alarm with a door sensor. Thank you!!
Glad it was helpful! and thanks for the comment
Did you find the alarm loud enough?

I'm not sure, the main reason you need the hub is for it to send you notifications and for the door sensor

Strange! could it be losing the signal?
how good is the range of hub to devices @ radio frenquencies ? Thanks
Sorry I don't know

I really don't know, your best bet would be to contact them and ask

Thanks for the comment Muddy, yeah it does look like a great little package that you can just keep adding too.

Yes in the settings on the 100 there is a notification setting I think it is on by default
New to this stuff.
Is tapo app free to use for hub, smart light switch and others except camera?
No subscription required?
Yes it is free
If I use this with a door sensor is it possible to just send an alert to my phone but not sound the alarm on the hub ?
Yes it is
whats the advantage of having ahub? does this work with Kasa Plugs?
I don't know if it will work with Kasa Plugs you would have to ask TP-Link. some of the devices will not work with out a hub

Can it connect to wifi 5ghz?
I think so, I did not turn off my 5g, normally for them to work you have to set them up to 2.4
Thank u

Not sure about that you be better off asking TP Link directly
