    WOW... just wow, how did I never make the connection... it was right there.
    The smile at 1:05 that any father would give their child at the sight of their child chasing their dreams, that soon turned into the frown at 1:10 as he realized that hes already seen the whole story play out before, and it ended badly. That's why Eddard didn't want Arya to learn the arts of fighting and war. Not because he thought that she couldn't handle it because she was a girl, but because she reminded him of his sister who, like Arya, was a talented and good fighter but tended to get ahead of herself at times. Dammit George Martin you've done it again!!

      Fraydizs it’s not because it reminded him of lyanna, but he imagined Arya in a real fight and didn’t want that to happen, hence the actual sword sounds.

      Michael Scott “Lyanna might have carried a sword, if my lord father had allowed it. You remind me of her sometimes. You even look like her.”
      I’m pretty sure Ned was STILL thinking about his sister while watching Arya practice because his sister wanted to learn and thought about how if Lyanna was allowed to learn how to fight like how he was letting his daughter learn, Lyanna would have been a master. Especially if his daughter is the spitting image of his sister. Which would lead to him thinking about Lyanna’s death and what was he doing while looking for his sister before she died? Fighting a war.

    So beautiful how you paralleled Arya and Lyanna's story. Great work!

      SophieStudios Add Robert loving Lyanna to that. And Arya was/will be loved by his son Gendry....and in a brotherly way by Rhaegars son Jon. She better not die...thats not parallel anymore thats just copying a storyline cause ya to lazy to write a new one. PS I don't think she is dead already cause I think the waif was Arya...she hated Arya cause Arya blames herself for not being able to stop Neds death...Arya is the name she didn't mention on Arya's kill list. Thats why underneath it all they had her face. She was just lying to herself, fighting, hurting and running from herself untill she faced herself...proclamed she is arya stark and went home to face her live. You can't die if a manifestation/illusion/meditation stabs you. 😉😁 Also Arya is repeating roberts mistake...not being able to let it go but wanting to kill those he deems responsible until it killed him. I think that won't happen to Arya.

    maybe what was all he said to arya was what he dreams for his sister, given that they look alike
    and i like how robert is crazy in love with lyanna and one of his sons meeting with lyanna look alike which is arya

    First of all, very beautiful video, but if someone could explain something to me, what does it mean by the title. Don't let Arya be like Lyanna? I'm at a lost. I like the video very much, I'm just a little confused.

      I think the idea is that Ned didn't want his daughter to die young like Lyanna (or bring down the kingdom), especially since he saw how the two were so similar.

    At least GRRM won’t make Jon go through what Ned went through with Lyanna. We won’t have to read about Arya dying in Jon’s arms during childbirth
    We will _not_ have to read about Arya begging Jon to keep her child safe, “Promise me Jon, promise me!”...........
    *GRRM don’t you fucking dare or this bitch won’t hesitate*

    First of all , congrats!! Very nice video and the music is thriling!Arya is my favorite character since the first season :D I have a question though. First I want to state that I haven't read the books and my question is based on what we have watched on the TV series. So here it is: WHY people like Lyanna?? I mean she left with a married man with children ( it is hinted that she wasnt kidnapped or raped of course) which doesnt sound to me so honorable. And also why when her father and brother were brutally murdered by the mad king she didnt return to her family? Why did she stand there with Rhaegar when her brother and her bethrothed started a war for her and so many thousands had to die? Why didnt she return to her family? I dont think I will never be able to see Jon as a Targaryen . He will be always Ned's son, so honorable and so caring. I understand the similarity that your video wanted to show between Lyanna as they were both beautiful and willful. My question was general. As a big fan of the show I would really appreciate from book readers or not to help me out understand the loving the people show to Lyanna cause I seriously cant see it. Thank you very much and SO SORRY for the huge comment :D Hope to see more videos of you soon!

      Thank you! & Lyanna is a tough one to understand. We only ever hear about her from people who either believe that she was raped and kidnapped (e.g. Robert Baratheon) or someone who loved her (e.g. Ned). I suppose most people like Lyanna because she is much like Arya - does not dress feminine, loves to horse ride, would wear a sword if her father let her, was fierce and wild and yet still beautiful. However, you are right. *Most* people believe that she went willingly with Rhaegar because she loved him and this raises a lot of questions about her as a person, for the reasons you stated above. My opinion on the matter is that Lyanna is not the bad one in this situation, she is a victim and Rhaegar is to blame for ALL of it. First of all, when Lyanna and Rhaegar met she was 14 and he was 22, a grown man already married with children. When they ran away together (if you follow that interpretation) she was 16 and he was 24. She was a child and he was an adult. Children grew up faster in medieval times but 16 is still very young, especially when paired with a man that was eight years older than her. Rhaegar took her/led her to Dorne, the furthest possible place from her home in the North. It was in an isolated location, far away from any one she knew and loved. We have no idea if Lyanna knew anything about what was going on in the war or if she knew the fate of her family. Rhaegar had sex with her on multiple occasions, made her pregnant and then left her to fight in the war. She had three of the kingsguard and maids but she was alone when she gave birth and died, with Ned only just reaching her in time. In my view, there was no great love story between them even if they both believed it. He was a grown man, powerful and influential who took advantage of a naive and vulnerable child. She may have *believed* that she loved him but she was in no position to choose that for herself. Tyrion refused to sleep with Sansa because of her young age and the gap between them, though there is a few more years in the gap between them. So, my defence of Lyanna is that she was a kid who thought she was in love with a handsome, melancholic future king. We don't know how much Lyanna knew about the war and the fate of her family, though she would have known that Rhaegar was dead when Ned came to her but we have no idea what she else she knew or what she felt. And I agree, I will never see Jon as the son of Rhaegar. Ned is his father, plain and simple. Who will matter more to Jon, a man he never met or the man who raised him? Thanks for your interesting comment!

    • @adambouz1700
      @adambouz1700 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Very interesting point of view! You maybe right I hope some day we learn the extent of the story because until now it reminds me the Trojan War with Helen and Paris and believe me Helen was not an honorable person at all. For me Arya is the best she is all about her family and doesnt care about boys or princes. quote of hers: ''Most girls are idiots'' :D As for Jon YES YES he is a Stark , he will always be a Stark.Ned's son. I think he would be embarashed of his father if he knew what he did. Thank you very very much :)

    • @atimeforwolves
      @atimeforwolves  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, very similar! & I agree, Jon is Stark heart and soul. I think he would be ashamed of Rhaegar whichever way the story turns out. If he loved Lyanna, he chose love over duty (to his wife, his children, the realm etc) and if he didn't what was it all for? Jon chose duty over love and lost Ygritte because of it, he made the ultimate sacrifice for honour and what was right. Does that sound more like Ned or Rhaegar?

    • @adambouz1700
      @adambouz1700 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes!! exactly!! And about the scene in season 6 episode 10 that reveals Jon's true parentage , everybody is like : ''awwwwwwww Jon is a Targaryen '' . But for me is so touching because of Ned. And Ned's look when he looks at Jon . Ned had to put his sister's wish above his honour and cause that pain to Catelyn , all because Lyanna is major daft. What was going through his mind must be so painful for the baby , his sister, his wife. Ned's death was the most hurtful for me. In summer time, I am definetely going to start the books :D

    • @atimeforwolves
      @atimeforwolves  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree, the love between Ned and Lyanna is what touched me. To me, it doesn't even matter who Jon's 'father' is. His whole life is a testament to the love between a brother and a sister (and not in a creepy way like Jaime and Cersei). Jon was right when he said that his father would do what was right, no matter what. Ned's is the worse for me too, Robb is a close second tho. & the books are far better than the tv show, I highly recommend them!
