I feel like no one ever mentions that the visual language and color pallates of Brandons shows are like. Really unique and cool. Especially for how low the budget is compared to other big budget productions. The gaudy 80s aesthetic in this video was so good!

2 things I love about this: -we get to see Bryce admire the dress she ends up buying from the store window, glorifying the character she would end up becoming. -the fact she lost Donovan sent her over the edge, never to be the same or allow herself to feel love again.

I actually love how little to no over the top jokes there were in this first episode. Most of them well-integrated. This seems more cinematic than the other series. Can’t wait to see the rest.
The stylization, the acting, the makeup, wardobe, and set design is all PEAK. Brandon is really evolving in this one. There is more focus on heart and story rather than back to back jokes and he's doing a fantastic job. Honestly, I'm here for everything Brandon has to bring to us. This is an artist evolving and growing.

God, this hits, and leaves so many questions in the best possible way. I'm going back and forth over whether the Donovan in the flashback is the same one we know today (he's indestructible) or if he's some kind of replacement, cause holy shit. Much groundwork is laid here for what we know about current day Bryce (i got a good laugh at her reading a high heel catalogue), and with literally everyone important to her dead or in jail as she enters the corporate world, no wonder she's gonna go evil. ALSO the reshoots of BTH episode 3 flashbacks were neat as hell and really demonstrate how much production value has risen! This is getting long, so in short, very excited for next episode Mr Rogers

Loved seeing Hilary Shephard in this. Grew up watching her as Divatox, and I went to high school with her daughter and got to meet her a few times. Absolutely delightful woman.
That was so good. It was beautifully crafted and well made, you did an outstanding job on this Brandon and everyone else who was a part of it as well. I can’t wait to see more. One of the things that blew me away was the beginning. I loved how it was shot and Bryce’s entrance was awesome. I love having characters that we have little to no background of and then getting little information at a time, like this. I think after watching this I think that this will make Bryce one of my favorite characters. In other words, I love character growth, it makes me feel like a parent watching their child growing up or becoming a new person, if that makes sense. Anyway, I got class to get to and can’t wait to see the next episode of Bryce. You are amazing keep it up!
As a published author and artist I want to tell you that you are the single biggest talent I have come upon in over forty years. You simply stun me. With almost no equipment you transform yourself into a series of (unfortunately) VERY familiar characters who now fill our world and keep the rest of us shaking our heads… and regretting we get confused as being members of the same species. You need to make real theater-release movies. The reason movies fail now all over the place is they budget them at 300 million (when the recipe is you need to make 2.5 times the budget to break even) so unless it makes a BILLION DOLLARS the movie is a failure. You do so much, with so little, that you could film a two-hour movie easily for a couple of million... and gross 200 times that amount. All anyone has to do is watch you for ten minutes. In any show or clip. All your work shares one simple characteristic: it is excellent. I hope to see you and Elmer and Bryce and Helen and all the rest on the “Big Screen” very soon. You are wasted on TH-cam; the whole world needs to watch your movies. Way more important than anything Spike Lee ever did. I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

After having watched episode two the wardrobe choices are ssooooo good! Bryce wears yellow as a child before she realize she wants something different. She wears green and red with Bobby. She wears at least a little blue in her outfits with Donovan. Almost always in blue shoes. Except when she chooses to sneak out with the red track jacket. Donovan has a blue tie. (Don't forget the blue lighting on the cliff scene.) Her mother wears so much blue, I'm surprised I didn't realize before rewatching. Bryce and her Mom wear blue eyeshadow and red lipstick often too. Ending with Bryce in full blue walking into the office... This man...Story telling with God damn clothing.
Though admittedly Divato- I mean Tammy does wear other clothes besides blue, but you're right Bryce does cycle through the color wheel to show what event plays a role in her life.
This whole episode is absolutely amazing, but Bryce's expression as she watches her mother being taken away has me shook as a perfect blend of "I'll miss you" and "thank God you're out of my life", along with her guilt surrounding Donovan. Also, I love the whole aesthetic and 1980s fashion Bryce has my heart. Super excited for the next installment!

I've been on youtube for over 10 years now, and I'm kinda flabbergasted I'm only now finding your channel. Remember guys: this is a new timeline after the events of Blame the Hero! That's why Bobby's backstory seems different from the original. 6:12 they're alone, where as the original timeline she does it in front of the P.E. class cause she didn't want to be upstaged by the other girl student (and she is perfectly fine stabbing mr. best without her heart)
Okay so...... wait hang on, BtH altered the BRCU in such a way that what we're seeing in this series is, like, The Sacred Timeline version of their backstory? Why wouldn't it have reverted back to Bobby getting sick all over her heart? I know it didn't, I know they created this third B x B origin story, but... how and why?!? I just can't follow how all the timelines work and which bits we should consider canon to this story, or if we should treat "Bryce" as a stand-alone AU in the larger BRCU.

(Which is to say I don't think Donovan was the thief in a double diva diversion scenario) Not her mother, doesn't resort to "petty theft", but also WAY worse than her mother... until she started growing a new heart, of course.
I don't have words to describe what I am feeling now. First of all, wow. It's so amazing. Second of all, Brandon is such a great actor director and screenwriter, and you can see that in every one of his works. I was so excited for this series and it exceeded my expectations. The abilities needed to do something like this are so special and amazing and I admire everyone who helped making this episode/series. Brandon is really amazing and I don't know how he manages to do all he does and raise the bar every time, he and all the other participants are not human!!. I know that anyone who is going to watch this series will love it because only from this episode I already fell in love .I don't want to think about the amount of investment that went into the series and I want to tell the whole team that they are amazing. I am eagerly waiting for the next episode and wanting to see this show spread to all as it should be.💓 ( sorry for any bad english)
I saw Brandon Rodgers live in Raleigh, NC a few years ago. His preformance was truly so funny and he was so engaging with the audience. If you have the time and money to spare I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys his videos!
Things I noticed: *The entire heart cofession bit was retconed. *Their ages were changed from 7 to 10 *The scene where Bryce tells Tammy about her heart is very similar to the scene of Helluva Boss S2 Ep2 when Blitz tells Stolas that Via dissapeared (Wich makes sense, because Brandon also writes for Helluva, he doesn't only voice Blitzø) *Onicks plays the boss' assistant, and I only realized when I watched the music video for Toxic (I am dumb) *The Skull jacket Donnovan is wearing is the same one Bryce wears to the arcade on episode 2 *Aparently, Donnovan doesn't have a last name (Just like Moxxie, lol) Aaand I think that's it.
The thing I love about these series is that they have such unconventional concepts but are written so well that I'm genuinely invested in the plot and the lives of these characters. Keep it up, Brandon!

I actually love how little to no over the top jokes there were in this first episode. Most of them well-integrated. This seems more cinematic than the other series. Can’t wait to see the rest.
The stylization, the acting, the makeup, wardobe, and set design is all PEAK. Brandon is really evolving in this one. There is more focus on heart and story rather than back to back jokes and he's doing a fantastic job. Honestly, I'm here for everything Brandon has to bring to us. This is an artist evolving and growing.

God, this hits, and leaves so many questions in the best possible way. I'm going back and forth over whether the Donovan in the flashback is the same one we know today (he's indestructible) or if he's some kind of replacement, cause holy shit. Much groundwork is laid here for what we know about current day Bryce (i got a good laugh at her reading a high heel catalogue), and with literally everyone important to her dead or in jail as she enters the corporate world, no wonder she's gonna go evil. ALSO the reshoots of BTH episode 3 flashbacks were neat as hell and really demonstrate how much production value has risen! This is getting long, so in short, very excited for next episode Mr Rogers
Donovan did become indestructible at some point, and she did get back with bobby, so we have to wait for part 3 i guess.
Wait what if the Donovon we know in the present canon is the Simian Bot from his older vids? We know his mom character will be featured in the show along with Simian at some point, so what if Simian is reprogramed or constructed to be the new indestructible Donovon?!?

I know we’re all praising the cast, and rightfully so, but I wanna give a shout-out to the costume and makeup departments. The STYLE, I am obsessed with it! Loved seeing Hilary Shephard in this. Grew up watching her as Divatox, and I went to high school with her daughter and got to meet her a few times. Absolutely delightful woman.
That was so good. It was beautifully crafted and well made, you did an outstanding job on this Brandon and everyone else who was a part of it as well. I can’t wait to see more. One of the things that blew me away was the beginning. I loved how it was shot and Bryce’s entrance was awesome. I love having characters that we have little to no background of and then getting little information at a time, like this. I think after watching this I think that this will make Bryce one of my favorite characters. In other words, I love character growth, it makes me feel like a parent watching their child growing up or becoming a new person, if that makes sense. Anyway, I got class to get to and can’t wait to see the next episode of Bryce. You are amazing keep it up!

As a published author and artist I want to tell you that you are the single biggest talent I have come upon in over forty years. You simply stun me. With almost no equipment you transform yourself into a series of (unfortunately) VERY familiar characters who now fill our world and keep the rest of us shaking our heads… and regretting we get confused as being members of the same species.
You need to make real theater-release movies. The reason movies fail now all over the place is they budget them at 300 million (when the recipe is you need to make 2.5 times the budget to break even) so unless it makes a BILLION DOLLARS the movie is a failure.
You do so much, with so little, that you could film a two-hour movie easily for a couple of million... and gross 200 times that amount. All anyone has to do is watch you for ten minutes. In any show or clip. All your work shares one simple characteristic: it is excellent.
I hope to see you and Elmer and Bryce and Helen and all the rest on the “Big Screen” very soon. You are wasted on TH-cam; the whole world needs to watch your movies. Way more important than anything Spike Lee ever did. I mean that from the bottom of my heart.

It's crazy to think it's been 2 weeks since this masterpiece came out. I could be mistaken but I feel like Brandon is putting the most effort compared to any other series yet. This show is truly cinematically choreographed and storyboarded and acted. I am sorry Brandon, for how long it must have taken to summon the glam needed to encapsulate this mini series. Bryce wears yellow as a child before she realize she wants something different. She wears green and red with Bobby. She wears at least a little blue in her outfits with Donovan. Almost always in blue shoes. Except when she chooses to sneak out with the red track jacket.

This whole episode is absolutely amazing, but Bryce's expression as she watches her mother being taken away has me shook as a perfect blend of "I'll miss you" and "thank God you're out of my life", along with her guilt surrounding Donovan. Also, I love the whole aesthetic and 1980s fashion Bryce has my heart. Super excited for the next installment!

I've been on youtube for over 10 years now, and I'm kinda flabbergasted I'm only now finding your channel. You have an amazing screen presence and such an iconic voice, and I can really see how much work was put into this series, and I am excited to have found your content; there is truly nothing like ✨Chaotic Queer Content✨ and while there has been a wonderful uptick in the ladt few years, we really dont have enough of it here on the platform
Remember guys: this is a new timeline after the events of Blame the Hero! That's why Bobby's backstory seems different from the original. 6:12 they're alone, where as the original timeline she does it in front of the P.E. class cause she didn't want to be upstaged by the other girl student (and she is perfectly fine stabbing mr. best without her heart)
Okay so...... wait hang on, BtH altered the BRCU in such a way that what we're seeing in this series is, like, The Sacred Timeline version of their backstory? Why wouldn't it have reverted back to Bobby getting sick all over her heart? I know it didn't, I know they created this third B x B origin story, but... how and why?!?
I just can't follow how all the timelines work and which bits we should consider canon to this story, or if we should treat "Bryce" as a stand-alone AU in the larger BRCU.

@@gmork1090 I think, in a twisted way, she managed to *not* become her mother after all, because we see in the flashback at the end of episode 2 that she abandons the whole ~benign diversion~ thing and starts just straight-up, y'know, "offing" whoever gets in her way. (Which is to say I don't think Donovan was the thief in a double diva diversion scenario)
Not her mother, doesn't resort to "petty theft", but also WAY worse than her mother... until she started growing a new heart, of course.

I don't have words to describe what I am feeling now. First of all, wow. It's so amazing. Second of all, Brandon is such a great actor director and screenwriter, and you can see that in every one of his works. I was so excited for this series and it exceeded my expectations. The abilities needed to do something like this are so special and amazing and I admire everyone who helped making this episode/series.
Brandon is really amazing and I don't know how he manages to do all he does and raise the bar every time, he and all the other participants are not human!!. I know that anyone who is going to watch this series will love it because only from this episode I already fell in love .I don't want to think about the amount of investment that went into the series and I want to tell the whole team that they are amazing. I am eagerly waiting for the next episode and wanting to see this show spread to all as it should be.💓 ( sorry for any bad english)
I saw Brandon Rodgers live in Raleigh, NC a few years ago. His preformance was truly so funny and he was so engaging with the audience. If you have the time and money to spare I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys his videos!

*The entire heart cofession bit was retconed.
*Their ages were changed from 7 to 10
*The scene where Bryce tells Tammy about her heart is very similar to the scene of Helluva Boss S2 Ep2 when Blitz tells Stolas that Via dissapeared (Wich makes sense, because Brandon also writes for Helluva, he doesn't only voice Blitzø)
*Onicks plays the boss' assistant, and I only realized when I watched the music video for Toxic (I am dumb)
*The Skull jacket Donnovan is wearing is the same one Bryce wears to the arcade on episode 2
*Aparently, Donnovan doesn't have a last name (Just like Moxxie, lol)

The thing I love about these series is that they have such unconventional concepts but are written so well that I'm genuinely invested in the plot and the lives of these characters. Keep it up, Brandon!
