Upon rewatching this for the 100th time, I realised that when Bryce becomes her "true" self, she wears red which is complementary to the green of Bobby showing how they were meant for each other. Also when they meet they are wearing green and red which could also foreshadow their future lives. Lastly Donovan is always shown to be associated with yellow while Bryce is blue which together makes green which refers to Bobby. This could be subconsciously be Bryce trying to keep some form of Bobby around. Also as I was writing this I realised that Bobby tells Bryce that he has to be Serena Litell's unpaid intern until one of them dies, which may explain why Bryce kills her as it will ensure that Bobby is free to do whatever he wants.
Speaking of colors, I like the detail of Bryce wearing blue in the beginning, before her transformation. With blue being a color that represents “being pure” or “innocence”. But at the end of the episode, Bryce wears red, which is a color that represents “evil” or “danger”.

I actually went to his Detroit show for the Bryce tour. I kid you not he was incredible polite and kind as it was a great show
I love the detail of how in the first day of work Bryce's clothes are mostly blue, it's a very calm color, probably a way to calm herself down from the stress and anxiety around her, but by the very end once she gives up on doing everything the good way and following the system her clothes are red from then on (either way Bryce pulls them both off so well damn)
It was symbolic of Bryce abandoning her "code of ethics" in order to become the person she was always meant to be. So to some extent, she freed herself from what was holding her back. Which is why afterward, she said "red is definitely my color", and why she was much more confident rather than mousey afterward. She embraced her true nature.

Watching Bryce try so wholeheartedly to live a better, more honest life than was given to her, only to fall into the same patterns is so devastating. There is so much despair in the short span of time where she tries to make it on her own, that her downfall hits so much harder. I wonder if she ever had a chance…. In a way i can see how she turned out the way she did. When she said “i cant lose you again” to donovan, and also the fact that she keeps donovan and bobby close to her, it makes me think theres still a part of her that yearns for connection and morality. Absolutely floored by the character building and storytelling!!!
Brandon really managed to write one of the most relatable, strong and empowered women of the decade while still giving her weaknesses and a personality and (multiple!) love interests and depth. Literally so many big name triple A writers with multiple awards struggle to write such a well written female character in their entire careers. But Brandon, despite being a cis man, truly captured some of the truest elements of the female experience with Bryce. And I know that of course men can be capable of writing good female characters, but it’s incredible how real the details of Bryce’s life are. The struggle to stand out as a woman in a world dominated by men can make us want to be ruthless and heartless and we have to sacrifice so many elements of ourselves to do it. So many people think that a strong female character is someone who doesn’t care about anyone and doesn’t have any weaknesses and isn’t like other girls. But Bryce, as much as she is strong and can be ruthless and was forced to become heartless in order to be successful, also had loves and passion and likes feeling beautiful. She has dimension. The chocolate scene really brought it home for me. Because I feel like many other writers would simply have her throw the chocolate in the man’s face and boldly declare that she hates chocolate and isn’t like other bimbos who only care about makeup and shopping or whatever. But no, Bryce likes chocolate. She faces a dilemma so many of us face where we have to choose between things we enjoy that have been labeled as “girly” or “weak” in order to get ahead and be taken seriously. Also the “god damn my face” line just hits home cause we’ve all been there lmao. Again, as confident and self assured as Bryce is and as much as she knows she’s beautiful even she has off days. God this is actually really good. Now we get Donavon back story and other preexisting characters. Some of my favorite actors are getting more screen time, new TH-cam comedians are getting cameos, and it all adds to the universe he has created. A true masterpiece and I can't wait for the rest of them! I just hope it's sooner than a month later. Also I am predicting that Bryce gives her robotic heart to Donavon to teach him compassion. Edit: holy sh*t I wasn't finished with the episode when I made that comment I was only half way when I was predicting that. He had literally just killed the dude in the office and I guessed it right. This just shows how good Brandon Rogers writing is! He does it so well that you are able to predict the story because of how detailed and well directed it is.
My guess before is that the current Donovan is a clone or a revived Donovan but the robot Donovan is the one I didn't guessed but almost close to my guess.
Everyone is talking about how amazing it was to see both Bobby and Bryce in the same scene but I was so convinced they were two separate people I completely missed the awesome editing! The writing, the acting, the cinematography. For an independent film production, this is amazing quality. This has better quality than your typical Netflix Original... Like I'm seriously in awe of how perfect this is. Especially the writing, as someone who strives to be a writer in film...this is just a spectacle to see. BRYCE AND BOBBY IN THE SAME SCENE?? Fantastic Brandon! The editing has gotten awesome!!
@M.L.M Vevo yeah but I don't think it was the faces next to each other? I can't remember. I just think it's really cool :)
what do you mean? They're clearly 2 completly different separate characters
I'm impressed with how Brandon manages to play Bryce's emotions. There's something about the way she looks sometimes that seems so natural, genuine, I think it's amazing. I really don't know how to explain it, but it shows just how talented Brandon is ✨️
Ikr?? He has all of her mannerisms down to a tee. Halfway through this I forgot Bryce was being played by a man 😂
Brandon is absolutely underrated. Man needs an entire Netflix series and an enormous budget at the very least. He would make the entirety of Hollywood his bitch.
I love these supposedly unserious characters being put into realistic scenarios and actors. It's very unique and tasteful.
Seeing Bryce's backstory unfold is amazing and just makes me love her even more. And Bobby with long hair and a suit is so prettttyyyyyyyy
26:05 the lighting on her eyes in this shot WOOOO damn reminded me of Morticia in the 90s movies
Everyone is talking about how amazing it was to see both Bobby and Bryce in the same scene but I was so convinced they were two separate people I completely missed the awesome editing! Brandon is an amazing actor and I love him for it. Better then any Netflix series I’ve ever watched and it’s free 😁
The relationship between donovan and Bryce is actually so wholesome tbh in some weird way
Can we apreciate the fact that Bobby Suck and Swallow are listening to Bryce sitting in the ground criss-cross like chikdren listening to a story? It's so cute.
You spelt children wrong
Brandon…you’re a one of a kind genius. Don’t ever change
I love the “ Being toxic in the streets y’ain’t munch different than being toxic in the work place.”
that toxic cover was legitimately so good wtf
She’s wearing Donovan’s jacket! The black and white one with the skull. Love it! Little Easter egg.. plus “red is definitely my color.” YAS!
Can we all agree that Brandon looks amazing in a dress?
Yes
Bryce breaking her promise to herself if being an honest woman by using it as a murder weapon is the most poetic thing ever
The Bryce, Onicks and Kornbread cross over is fucking insane
I'M SCREAMINGCRYINGTHROWINGUP. Seriously, congratulations Brandon. Seeing Bryce become the woman we know is thrilling. I got chills during the entire episode. This series is not just astounding, but the best thing I've ever watched in my whole life. You just brightened up my day. Can't wait for the last episode! (Although i'd love to have more!)
3:02 I'm surprise more people aren't talking about this scene. Two Brandons in the same shot is blowing my mind. He's even rubbing his own shoulders! Such a good vfx shot!
The lighting. The pacing. The suspense. THE ACTING. Everything is magnificent!
I was so not ready for flashback Bobby. I WAS NOT READY.
All my questions from the previous episode were answered but now I have more questions!
Thank you so much for this series. You truly are an artist Brandon. ❤
Now I'll go watch it again and again and again😊
Bryce being meta in the first 30 seconds is really funny
5:21
Ok Bobby Worst and the Bottoms sitting down and listening to Bryce`s story is one of the cutest moments I`ve ever seen.
The differance in the way the other people and Bobby listen to Bryces story is too much for my simple heart
Yeah cuz they love each other until the end this time
Its so sweet
This episode was even more perfect than I ever could have imagined
u commented that 5 minutes after the video came out. the video is somewhere about 30 minutes long.
FOR REAL
20:54 the way Kornbread said it! 😂
15:05 the symbolism of the lighting in the arcade, the red for bryce and green for bobby i can’t do this
Brandon this episode was SO GOOD! 😭 My absolute favorite part is when Bryce was walking up to Dianne and the faint light showed up over Bryce’s eyes. ( 26:00 - 26:07 ). It tickled my fancy real well 😩✨
I saw that and immediately I was feeling !!!! It reminded me of Morticia Addams, and it’s just such an iconic lighting look!
Yes!! I’m so glad someone else noticed this !! ❤️🔥❤️🔥
Me toooooo
Gloria:where you just-
Delorio=cleaning the floors?
Gloria:oh😐
*Delorio=✨💅wHiLe GiViNg ExPeRt HeAd💅✨*
21:02 btw
The writing, the acting, the cinematography. For an independent film production, this is amazing quality. This has better quality than your typical Netflix Original... Like I'm seriously in awe of how perfect this is. Especially the writing, as someone who strives to be a writer in film...this is just a spectacle to see. It's like everything Brandon intended on script was put onscreen, and it came out amazingly. I seriously just love how this is made. I can't wait for Episode 3!
Even more better than the Neo-Saban era of Power Rangers and Velma.
The gradual development of Bryce in this series really shows how great of a writer Brandon is.
Seriously, well done.
"Joker is the best live-action supervillain origin story."
*watches this*
"Donavan, hold my latté!"
Love that fact that brandon brings back characters, even if we've known what the characters all about :)
25:50
Most badass part of the episode, and the best speech. Brandon really shows off his acting skills in this scene
22:55 dude this part made me cry more than the helluva boss episode Western energy this is Truly a masterpiece
9:55 HAHAHA! I love Gloria. She's such a great addition to the cast.
Everyone does a fantastic job and I love how the stories all have connection to other smaller stories. The editing, the music, the costumes, the acting, EVERYTHING IS SO WELL MADE! It's amazing to see how even Bryce has a heart.
*Standing Applause* I am so invested in this character you’ve created. Your work deserves an award.
I’ve been watching Brandon Rogers videos for years, and as an aspiring director and actress, he is one of my biggest inspirations.
I’m so sad this series will only have 3 episodes.
It’s just too good
This episode is a whole other level of genius! This is masterful script writing, acting and directing. I'm honestly surprised you don't have at least 50 trophies by now! I'm soo invested in Bryce's story! Can't wait to see what happens next! Thank you for another brilliant video Brandon! ❤
i adore how at the beginning it was like a comedy but slowly became more and more serious and genuine as bryce went more and more off the rails... jesus christ brandon is a genius
I can't get over how amazing this series is, Brandon always delivers Oscar-worthy performances! Hats off to the whole cast and crew, this is pure art!
I love how Brandon brought back Gloria Goopty from L.L. Robotics, where Humanoid Simulation XL-57692 (Simian) was created. Nice continuity there 💯
Wait holdup, isn't that the same company in Helluva boss?
@@Mesonic537 *_H U H_*
😧😧😧😧😧
@@Mesonic537I don’t know about the same company but Brandon’s voice actor there.
@@Mesonic537 Holy shit! That's a crazy detail! 🤯
22:04 Gloria's emotion for some reason made me get so sad
Brandon! You've done it again.... Your videos keep getting more sophisticated. Everything about this is done so beautifully..... Writing, acting, lighting, cinematography, editing...... This is just farging AMAZING! Great job all around! Thanks for letting me be a part of it.... Genius!
I love you Paulette! You're such a kind soul and the coolest motherfucker known to mankind. I have been loving the Bryce series and its been a pleasure seeing my favorite actress in action again (especially as a horny terrorist)!
at 3:00 I think we see the first ever shot of two of Brandon's characters, both played by Brandon, facing the camera simultaneously. I've loved how part of Brandon's filming talent throughout all his videos is making use of body doubles and angles to get his characters interacting while he plays them both, so the video editing choice here makes me very intrigued.
i believed this wasn't the first time
There was a scene in sam and stuff with sam and blame on screen together both sitting on a couch facing toward the camera. but yeah it is impressive.
In his roast Brandon Rodger’s video it was all of him together tho
OFFICER HEADLESS I’M DYING LMAO
Okay, but seriously, Brandon looks absolutely stunning. The only way I recognize him is by his voice at this point. The way he did the make-up, the clothing, the acting. Breathtaking performance and depicting. I am absolutely enamored with Bryce’s character and I just NEED to see more of her.
Brandon is just so good at this shit. Like you always forget that he's playing Bobby and Bryce so you think they're actual characters. Along with Donovan being a robot just makes so much sense. Like, what kind of guy would obey a crazy woman's every demands without any pay and nothing that she's using to keep him there?
IT ALL JUST MAKES SENSE DAMNIT
23:47
Ok but Brandon in this part🤭💙he’s literally gorgeous oml
Brandon playing half the characters in this series is so good
This is the BEST episode of any series Brandon Rogers has made so far. The outfits and makeup are beautiful, the story is excellent, and the screenplay is flawless. Brandon, you and your crew are incredible talents in film!
CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE MOMENT WHERE BOBBY HOLDS BRYCES SHOULDERS ITS FLAWLESS
13:07
Can we just acknowledge how god damn GORGEOUS Brandon looks in this scene!?
He can pull of that outfit way better than I could ever 💀😂
Brandon has to be one of the best actors I’ve ever seen
