Demonetization was done in right time and with right intention to save the country from economic collapse.
Yes, many people suffered and 38 people died while in Q in ATMs. Yet we can't deny the long term benefits of demonetization ripped by poors and middle class People. While we regret for the suffering , we should also remember that every year a few hundred unfortunate people loss their life in heavy rain flood etc ,yet we welcome rain than facing draught.

Do one session on demonization. My strong urge says, that there should be another demonization with right perspective. If the scope was to remove black money, give all citizen time to deposit money in bank without any time line. Announce that paper money stands invalid, and all transaction needs to be in card, check, upi, etc. Game over. All money had turned white. Now work with PAN and see the deposits of crores mapping with Aadhar card. All rich will be caught, and poor will not feel anything bad.

So initially to run the economy and tackle the situation government has brought 2k notes. Now when everything is stable government has decided to print less 2k notes..

I don't know much about economics, black money etc. But I against demonitization. What about the people died because of demonitization. The families not even got support from government. Me after 4 years of marriage I am pregnant. That to I have severe health issues, high risk pregnancy. I have to admited on hospital for delivery on 9 Nov 2016, my total family preparing for that Nov 8 demonitization announcement declared. My bp was increasing all family members shattered. What pain we undergone is God knows. god grace 10-11-2016 I blessed with baby boy. My parents husband everybody running towards banks in heavy que. I can't forget that trauma🙏🙏🙏 opinions based on experiences.

Demonetisation was a great move but people forgot it. Just because few Congressi economist often say that cash flow in market has increased even after demonatization. Rather demonatization was implemented to reduce cash flow in daily use. So, i Will clarify this for you all. Imagine you have salary of Rs. 20,000/-, so, you will have around Rs. 2,000 cash in your pocket as a middle class citizen. But if you have salary of Rs. 60,000/- then you will have around Rs. 6,000/-. Cash in your pocket. In same pattern, india's economy (GDP) has increased by almost 7% every year from 2014 to 2018. In 2013, india's GDP was 6,713.1 billion dollar, so cash flow was less. And now in 2018, india's GDP was 10,121 billion dollar, so cash flow will be a little more but not that much. After demonatization cash flow has been restricted a lot and digital transactions are high. So don't worry, this is just propaganda by Congress and his best economist MM and Rajan. Jai hind.

The whole idea is to find black money/non accountable money and take necessary action against the culprits.
But nothing happened after that, infact no arrests were made, no major IT raids were done, but 80 percent of poor and middle class hard earning people had suffered.
Then govt doesn't know the different forms of black money. It could be available in real estate, gold, etc.

S. Gurumurthy said if demonetization has not happened then our economy has collapsed like USA in 2008. In 2008 in USA Lehman's bother faced the problem and got destroyed. Demonetization was necessary and sooner or later it would have been done by any Govt Congress or BJP.What Modi did differently was apply it just before UP election.The illegal uncounted cash started legal with individuals name at respective banks.No easy money available for campaign in election and bjp win UP.Modi did masterstroke making illegal cash legal and at the same time started winning election in states bjp has not hold before.
