Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who left comments of love and support last Sunday after falling in the trench....feeling very lucky to have such a wonderful community looking out for me. I'm even luckier to have such a hunk of a husband who's not only a wonderful nurse but an expert firewood stacker 😍 . In all seriousness, having this down time to recalibrate our upcoming projects has been a blessing in disguise and we're feeling a lot less stressed about everything to come. Also, Todd is now hooked on Stranger Things too so I think the next few days will be spent continuing the binge while I rest up. Hope you have a wonderful week friends xoxo
Heyy guys I'm so glad to see y'all having some relaxing time y'all deserve it and as you said Tyler it's a blessing in disguise Y'all have a great week. I'm going to continue watching the video And I'll see y'all next Sunday ❤️❤️
Don't strain yourself, Tyler. A little rest now and then is necessary. Leave the workaholic life to the worker bees in the city and let Todd take care of you in that beautiful wonderland you own.
Stranger Things Rocks! Glad you are on the mend, donot rush it! Seriously take it easy till youre 100%. We tend to try and push it when we feel better and reinjure ourselves. Im guilty of it. So when you think your better, take another day to just be sure. You 2 are such a sweet couple. Im so glad i found you. Im looking for nice sweet content not drama or snark. Found it here. Nice content with a couple handsome guys working towards a life well lived.
To Tyler and Todd… hi you two, we’re a gay couple named Barry & James from Dublin, Ireland 🇮🇪. We’ve been watching your videos for a few months now & we’re really enjoying them, please keep up the great content. Please say hello to the dogs!
You guys are so sweet to each other. With all that is going on in this crazy world, what a joy to watch you 2. Just love it. 😊 Hope that Tyler is feeling better each day.
Thank you for showing healthy gay relationships without attention seeking tantrums and drama. My husband and I enjoy your Sunday show. Thank you from the bottom of our Hearts for what you do to lift up so many of us. God Bless you gentle kind souls.

You know it's Sunday, when Tyler and Todd are on our screens. Having my snacks and going to watch the vlog. Love you guys. Take it easy Tyler, wishing you a speedy recovery. 😊😉🙏❤️💙❤️💙
It's 100 degrees here in Chicago, and seeing. you two in your snowflake pants and Dad sweater(compliment) were making me feel the cool weather vibes. I love your vidoeos! They bring me so much joy. Thank you for all you do. Also, from a trans woman who is married to a pan man...HAPPY PRIDE!!!!!! Keep up the amazing work.
It doesn't matter too much if you pick off the spinach flowers - they've bolted (decided it's time to bloom) and you can't change their minds! This tends to happen to spinach in hot weather, but you can usually slow it down by giving the plants some shade. Choosing varieties that are "bolt-resistant" or have good "field holding" can give you a longer harvest season - this goes for lettuce too. You might want to look into Caucasian mountain spinach, which is a perennial cousin of spinach that grows as a fast-growing vine and you can harvest from spring to fall, year after year.
If you planted open-pollinated or heirloom seeds, you can let the spinach go to seed and then save the seeds for succession planting later this year, and for planting next spring.
Yes! Agree, the spinach is bolting. You could let it go to seed and then collect the seeds to replant. It may or may not produce the same variety of spinach depending on if it's heirloom or hybrid. Or pull up those plants and replant! I so love spinach from the garden!

Hi, greetings from Estonia! I've been actually meaning to write you this many times before, but have lost the moment in time. I am not judging, at all but I really wish you had the proper good sauna experience (not that your experience has been bad), just try- for example pick random rocks from property and put them on there for try and heat the stove up.. if you pour water there, it should go to steam right away, not sizzle there on the rock. and if you do not like it, you can ditch the rock and enjoy it the way it is now. no hard feelings, but I wish you tried the way it's been done for hundreds of years here.. :)
Becareful! I was in a car accident 32 yrs ago that herniated 6 discs in my neck. Since then I have had 4 discs welded together that were going into my spine. The pain doesn't go away so be very very careful. I was raising a 4 yr old and a garden with an over the road trucker/musician so I wasn't as careful as I should have been. You can't without help. I'm so glad you are a good team and it's possible for you to be together so much. We just moved to the middle of 50,000 acres of Michigan pines. The previous owner had cleared nearly 3 acres I was in heaven until I found out it is sand! If you dig gown you hit white sand. We have been here 3 years and slowly I am making gardens. Thank you for your contents. It's does inspire!!! Todd you are wearing my favorite lounging pants! I have that fabric but mine are bellbottoms and I have two pair in cotton for hot days. Elephants with their trunks up are a sign of good luck.
Todd is such a workhorse! It is amazing all of the things he has continually accomplished and his work ethic is incredible. On top of all that doing things for Tyler to take care of him, he really works hard.
Watching the two of you reaffirms my faith in the goodness of people. You set a fine example of how to treat the person you plan to spend the rest of your life with.
Glad you are feeling a bit better, Tyler. I hope you continue to improve each day. You do indeed have the best husband in the world, and he truly is a hunk! This morning I watched the Vanwives put in your unused toilet. They mentioned you, Todd. Love you both and how beautiful your property is looking. I raise my glass of wine to Todd this week, the nonstop working machine!
The spinach has definitely "bolted" which is what happens when it doesn't get enough water and it just goes to seed much faster. Water morning and evening in "soak" mode in order to keep it from bolting and you'll get way more leaves on your plants for much longer
The humming bird is SOOOOO CUUTTEEEE! So are both of you. The opening of this video was just SO beautiful and relaxing! What a beautiful life you are building!
Tyler, you have the most amazing husband! The way Todd stepped up to keep you comfortable and taken care of is so loving! But then the way he has kept going with the tasks, especially the wood deliveries, shows nothing but true love and dedication! Take care Tyler and heal properly. The projects will still be there when you're ready. See you guys next week!!
I’m guessing that round thing is a hot tub! Todd : you work sooo hard! Carrying wood is labor intensive! The movie screen in the dome is a great idea ! Great to see the boys! Eddie looks great!❤️
Omgosh Todd, that was so much firewood to stack all on your own. 💪💪I'm sure you slept well that night. Tyler I'm glad that you are feeling somewhat better. 😌 I could almost taste those strawberries 🍓 🍓 Have an awesome week. Catch you next Sunday.
Slept like a baby - the next few days putting my feet up were also pretty relaxing! Wish we could send you some berries to try! They're the best we've had!
It's so hard to tell who is more beautiful out of the two of you. Tyler. Your humour, smile and wit is winning me every time I watch. Todd. Your honesty and true blue -ness shies through. I couldn't imagine you ever saying a nasty thing about anyone or anything. You're both a pleasure to spend twenty minutes with each week. :)
“Show off your wood and jam in another load”. My, my, life in the Northwoods must be so nice lol. Keep at it guys, you’re both so wonderful. Have a great week!
You guys! The BIRDS! That's such a beautiful sound to have wherever you're working! The one that sounds like it's shouting: "teacher-teacher-TEACHER-TEACHER!!" is an Ovenbird (a type of warbler). And the one that sounds like it's rapidly asking and answering its own questions is a Red-eyed vireo 😊. Loving the videos! ❤
Want you to know how much my husband and I enjoy watching your vlogs every Sunday. It is amazing what you have done to The Land and look forward to your progress toward your goals. Get better soon, Tyler.
Those soft tissue injuries always take longer to heal than you'd like; but hang in there, and we're sending all sorts of healing energy your way. Todd's efforts were heroic on the wood stacking, truly impressive, and when you shifted the couch, the difference in perspective inside the dome was astonishing. All the best through the next week.
I love these slower-paced videos. I love how the video started with a nice, relaxing sauna. I have ME/CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), so I know how hard it can be to not do anything when you just want to get up and participate in something, but it's a good lesson on being present with whatever each day brings. Hugs and wishing you a smooth recovery
I have those too, I think people must think I’m loopy when I say the hardest part of having them isn’t the pain or fatigue etc but not being able to do all the housework, gardening etc that I used to do, especially when I have the urge to deep clean x
@@deb8105 Deb I 100% agree. The pain is obviously annoying but it’s the boredom and not being able to get the things done that I want to that’s the most annoying part!
I'm loving Todd's harem lounge pants and I am pleased to see Tyler is on a slow mend. "Listen to your body" is the best advice a dear friend once gave me after a physical trauma. My Sundays are NOT complete without your (and Van Wives) vlogs. Happy Pride month. Take care.
Tyler, please get all the rest you need to get yourself back to 100%. Don't rush it. Todd, you've already impressed us many times over so don't overdo it while Tyler is recuperating. We love you both and want you both healthy. 💛
Perfect lifestyle including when injury occurs. Fabulous surroundings for general health and recovery. The sauna is a huge bonus. You are living everyday in a retreat ... the work is all part of it. Yes you two ... facing the lounge towards your beautiful outlook is the prize. Take care in your recovery ... do it slow. Monday morning in Australia 💚
The folk-art legend of the bottle tree began in the Congo during the ninth century. Blue bottles were hung upside down on trees and huts as talismans to ward off evil spirits. Bottles were also tied to trees near important locations such as meeting places or crossroads to trap any spirits that were traveling. Love it!
I have to say, Todd is the best! He's so kind, sweet, considerate, hard working, and really handsome when he smiles. Even when he doesn't! Tyler, I actually know how you feel! About seven weeks or so, I fractured my right ankle. I rolled it in my back yard, just walking. I'm still limping and when I'm on it for awhile, it still swells up. I know you're young, but you're going to have to really take care of your ankle. When you feel better, you're going to have to surprise him with something special. I really like watching all y'all's hard work paying off. Keep up the great work!
Don't forget to change your hummingbird feeder solution every day to two days depending on how hot it is. Otherwise the solution can ferment and turn into alcohol and kill the hummingbirds. I learned this a couple years ago when I started getting my own hummingbird feeder and didn't realize how often you have to change it. You can buy commercial hummingbird food that has additives to preserve it, however that's not very good for the birds either. If all else fails though, you can just grow lots and lots of flowers that hummingbirds like and then no mess no trouble!
Also remember to clean the little flower tubes very often as well as the whole container as the black mold build up can cause a terrible death to the precious birds.
Todd, my friend, you are a beast! I do hope Tyler gets to feeling better soon. Watching the two of you make the beginning of my week exquisite. Love it so much. ❤️❤️❤️
My wife and I are avid watchers and each time we do, we are both amazed and inspired by what you’re doing. Fear doesn’t seem to be a word in your quest to live out your dream. At 61, I’m more of a spectator than a doer now, with a recent bout of heat stroke. Thank God my son is a nurse and, at 6’1” and 285lbs of muscle, he resuscitated me while my daughter in-law (also a nurse) then gave me an IV. Lesson for Tyler and me: proceed safely!!!
Legend says, the Wine Bottle Tree is used for catching Haints that are roaming about at night and in the morning they burn up in the morning sun. If a bottle is either buzzing or looks cloudy, it is suspected that it has caught a Haint.
You guys have the best life! And the best relationship. You are modeling how the world would be a more peaceful planet if people had your love ethic. Not just work ethic but love ethic. Love and respect your partner, your health, your pets, nature, and your self. Great video! And - don't be afraid to rearrange the furniture. You may be pleasantly surprised at what you discover. 💜
I'm so glad to see the dogs looking healthy and happy after the health scare last year. I love how you have all your paths outlined and graveled. It makes everything look so tidy. Tyler, take a towel and wet it with the hottest water you can stand and wrap it around your neck. Do this 2 or 3 times a day.
Crops like lettuce and spinach “bolt” or go to seed when the weather warms up. Perfectly normal. You could leave the flowers to attract pollinating insects or just pull to plant summer crops like corn or tomatoes. I’m so glad you’re feeling a bit better and that you are taking your time. Todd is a gorgeous hunk taking care of his beloved husband. Love you both! Kisses to the furry kids too……❤️💫🐶💫❤️
Super interesting - I think that makes a lot of sense because it's cooler down at the dome (and not often in direct sunlight) the spinach and lettuce seems to be doing much better!
@@tylerandtodd you can also cut off the flower stalks which will encourage the plant to grow bushier and produce more leaves. usually when the plant bolts it changes to focus all of its energy production on flowering, so the leaves are less tasty. herbs like basil do this too. pruning the flower stalk back will keep the leaves tasty and won't harm the plant but does require a little bit of fussing since they really really want to go to seed!
So glad you are not rushing your recovery. It takes time, sucks, i know (I'm a therapist). I find when I'm forced to take downtime, there is a silver lining to it. Your hubby is awesome.
Todd you crushed it with staking all that wood. You guys should be nice and toasty this coming winter.🤗 I love how beautiful the landscaping is looking. Tyler, I hope your going to continue to get better. I just really look forward to sundays because I know you guys will be coming on and my other favorite youtubers vanwives. Love you guys and will be looking forward to next sundays video. God bless you both.🙏 Much ❤️ too you..
SO, SO happy that Tyler is doing better. If Todd keeps stacking more wood, he's going to become a total hunk. Perhaps in the next video you can give us all an update on the house and it's expected delivery timeline?
I've just finished binge watching Stranger Things. Roll on July 1st! I need a T&T sized screen to watch it on 🙂. I'm glad you're on the mend Tyler. Don't over do it Todd! 💚🐾🐾🐾💚
So wonderful to watch you both… This was good to see and appreciate just how much hard work goes into your lifestyle.. 🤞✨a speedy recovery ✨🤞. 👬🐕🦺🦮🐈⬛🦩🌱🌽🥬🍓🥑🥪☕️🌿🌿🌿
You two make every Sunday/Monday so much better. Hoping for Tyler to feel better soon and recover fully ❤️ And Todd, you're a machine, I would proba ly die half way through the wood load! LOVE YOU BOTH! 💕
Tyler it is good to see you up and moving around. It still looks painful. Hoping for a speedy recovery. Ok Todd that stacking wood was awesome. I was mesmerized by it in fast and normal motion. The gardens all look beautiful, those around the pond are so pretty too. Take care - hope to see you next week on another one of your projects. Get well Tyler.
Tyler, I know it's not easy, but I'm so glad you are listening to your body and allowing it to heal! And, Todd, thanks for being such an awesome human! Love you guys!! ♥
Happy Father's day lads from your pups and puddy cat. Your doing a great job Todd on the land and looking after Tyler, and I know it's frustrating Tyler but you'll soon be back out there if you rest up now. Xxx
I just hope that Todd doesn't overdo it now, trying to accomplish the work of TWO! I want both of you to be healthy, happy, and your usual vibrant selves.
The adorable give and take while Tyler mends showed the real love. I always ran out to the strawberries to grab those sweet one too. Taco nite in bed, movies wine and rest, perfect🐾❤️
Todd, you ARE the best🥇 and agreed, your husband really is the cutest thing🥰 I’ve never seen anybody being so happy (and glowing) while doing physically hard work, it just tells that you really are where you want to be…FRESH AIR, FRESH MIND!💪🏼 By the way, I love your wind bell, it gives such ASMR vibes! Thank you Tyler for giving us this great video despite not feeling well💛💛💛
Listen to Kathleen! The minute the plant starts showing signs of going to seed you have to be ruthless. Snap off that branch at the next lowest juncture. The plant will then produce more leaves. You won’t believe the yield
@@tylerandtodd As you get more into gardening you will want to start planning out cold weather vs warm/hot weather crops. Some advance planning can help you stagger when you plant each crop to get maximum yield and also to have fresh produce throughout the season. Think of it all as a learning experience too. The first year I had mountains of spinach and lettuce for a couple of weeks and then they all went to seed at the same time. Sad in the short term, but learned to stagger and plan for plant rotation throughout the growing season based on weather.
Todd you are a machine, they way you did all of that wood. Kudos 👏. Tyler hope you start getting some relief soon. Thanks for making our Sunday’s as usual. 🥰♥️
Tyler, so glad you are being indoorsy and healing while Todd continues like the Energizer Bunny outdoors! OMG, he is amazing! You both are! Here's to a speedy recovery and a lovely productive summer full of the sweetness of the berries for you both. Cheers~
Tyler you are amazing, but my goodness Todd! You are husband of the year. Your enthusiasm, energy and eye to detail is out of this world! Can we clone you!
wow Todd, awesome job getting that wood stacked up so quickly, I could see doing it in about a year. Tyler take good care, best to keep on slow healing so this doesn't interfere later on.
"Just wait, let me get your walker"... I had a sudden flash of the distant future where the two of you, one with a walker and the other with a cane helping each other down to the river. You two are blessed to have found each other. Be careful, please...
I truly enjoyed watching Todd today. He's a machine stacking all of the wood! The sitting area redo is beautiful! I also can't get over how beautifully rich your soil is! Feel better soon Tyler, so happy to see you today feeling a bit better ❤️
It brings me such joy to see you two having a great life together! There have been so many that have gone before you, who were never able to have, or find a relationship for one reason or another! I am one of them, and I am now an old man! Times have changed thank goodness!

LOL it’s non stop fun to be honest 😅😂
@@tylerandtodd I bet it is. I can scarcely imagine 😳🤤
You guys!
🧡💜💙 to the 3 of you!
@@deb8105 Deb I 100% agree. The pain is obviously annoying but it’s the boredom and not being able to get the things done that I want to that’s the most annoying part!
It’s so nice to see how Todd takes care of his babe. Love you guys.
Take care.
YES!! I completely agree 💯
Love it!
Todd your are a great, caring spouse. Tyler hope you are feeling 100% soon.
Absolutely!! Luckily Todd is pretty good about changing them regularly and keeping them clean but it's definitely a huge problem right now!
I love how you speak to each other. I want to thank you for sharing this and teaching us how to speak to each other in a more nicer way
Todd, my friend, you are a beast! I do hope Tyler gets to feeling better soon. Watching the two of you make the beginning of my week exquisite. Love it so much. ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much, hope you have a wonderful week....See you in the next one!
Oh do feck orf.
I hope Tyler feels better. Todd you are just a gift. I love seeing such pure love between you two.
Wow that was a lot of work for Todd! What a guy. I hope your recovery goes well Tyler.
So sorry to hear that you are till in pain. Sending lots of Love and prayers of healing. The land looks amazing!! Love to you both! 💗
Legend says, the Wine Bottle Tree is used for catching Haints that are roaming about at night and in the morning they burn up in the morning sun. If a bottle is either buzzing or looks cloudy, it is suspected that it has caught a Haint.
Your videos always make me smile. Tyler, get better soon. No more trench falling! Todd, your work ethic is just amazing.
Stranger Things pajama party! You’re so good together, this was a sweet episode. I like that you’re making some down time an event.
Todd, you are one of the hardest working young man I have ever seen. ❤
You have worked so hard, you deserve your paradise.
YAY! Just want you guys know that you are such a blessing. Love following along with you as you're building your paradise!
Awhhh Todd taking care of Tyler is the best 💅
Todd you crushed it with staking all that wood. You guys should be nice and toasty this coming winter.🤗 I love how beautiful the landscaping is looking. Tyler, I hope your going to continue to get better. I just really look forward to sundays because I know you guys will be coming on and my other favorite youtubers vanwives. Love you guys and will be looking forward to next sundays video. God bless you both.🙏 Much ❤️ too you..
Thank you Linda, have a wonderful week xoxo
SO, SO happy that Tyler is doing better. If Todd keeps stacking more wood, he's going to become a total hunk. Perhaps in the next video you can give us all an update on the house and it's expected delivery timeline?
I've just finished binge watching Stranger Things. Roll on July 1st! I need a T&T sized screen to watch it on 🙂. I'm glad you're on the mend Tyler. Don't over do it Todd! 💚🐾🐾🐾💚
Best update ever! Showing off wood and jamming in another load. Gotta love it!
Cozy movie night with the dogs, it doesn't get any better than that 🐕🐕💕
My Sunday favorite guys! 😍
Tyler, I know it's not easy, but I'm so glad you are listening to your body and allowing it to heal! And, Todd, thanks for being such an awesome human! Love you guys!! ♥
Glad to see Tyler is getting better. Love the chilled video style this week. Everyone has to take a break sometimes. Enjoy your week guys
Tyler feel better soon .Todd you rock stacking all the fire wood . Rest up now
We have been watching for quite a while and have thought about going off grid. Health care and being so far away kept us from this. Take care y’all!
Love ❤️ how you love ❤️ each other and take care of each other and are so grateful for your life together from a straight Grammy
The perfect thing to reset and recharge! Have a wonderful week Patrick!!
Todd, you ARE the best🥇 and agreed, your husband really is the cutest thing🥰
I’ve never seen anybody being so happy (and glowing) while doing physically hard work, it just tells that you really are where you want to be…FRESH AIR, FRESH MIND!💪🏼
By the way, I love your wind bell, it gives such ASMR vibes! Thank you Tyler for giving us this great video despite not feeling well💛💛💛
If you snap off all the going-to-seed parts then the plants will last longer. the taste of the spinach also starts to go bad if you let it flower.
Listen to Kathleen! The minute the plant starts showing signs of going to seed you have to be ruthless. Snap off that branch at the next lowest juncture. The plant will then produce more leaves. You won’t believe the yield
Thanks Kathleen (and Patrick) going to run out the that garden this morning and take care of that so we get more of a yield :)
I'm am sooo jealous of their soil! 💚
Birds are the most amazing helpers for transplanting.
I just love you guys! You are an inspirational couple. Hey Tyler, you've got a great husband! And beautiful blue eyes! Thanks for bringing us along!
Thanks Ron! 💛
Todd is a beast!!! Tyler, so glad you're feeling better. Take as long as you need to heal. The work is not going anywhere.
Sending healing thoughts, please rest and don't over do. The gardens are looking so good. Have a great week.
Thanks James, hope you have a wonderful week too!
Legit the cutest couple on the internet. Keep being couple goals x
Glad you are feeling better Todd
Great job on the wood and gardening Tyler❤️❤️❤️❤️
Your such a compatible couple. You inspire each other. It’s comforting watching you.
Wishing you a speedy recovery Tyler Todd wow you are working so hard don't forget to rest ❤️
It brings me such joy to see you two having a great life together! There have been so many that have gone before you, who were never able to have, or find a relationship for one reason or another! I am one of them, and I am now an old man! Times have changed thank goodness!
Sending healing waves for you Tyler and Todd because he did all that stacking of firewood! Many blessings.
Todd, I am so exhausted watching everything you did today. You’re awesome. Get well soon Tyler.
