- Freelancer: HD Edition is a mod that aims to improve every aspect of the game Freelancer while keeping the look and feel as close to vanilla as possible.

The Liberty Light Fighter has such a cool design.

One of the best Space games ever made.
I´ve spent a lot of time in my heavy fighter with alien guns, searching the debris fields, the irradiated sections and the alien space for goodies. So much fun. Thank you for bringing back memories.

As I recall, you don't pick up shield/hull repair drops when you are at your ship's maximum number of them. So, to make a little more profit per combat outing, you can sell down to a comfortable number (like say 50%) and fill back up during combat missions.
Of course the fun is if you needed those shield/hull repairs in combat. Ah, but sometimes you have to take a few risks in order to make money.
Ill give this a go and risk it for the biscuit..

FREELANCER is one of my favorite games ever! But rough to play on new hardware. Maybe this mod will help with that?
I had high hopes for Starfield, and for a little while it scratched the itch, but that universe is so EMPTY and LIFELESS that the game feels dead.
Awesome video! I'm just sitting and vibing. Such a beautiful game too. I personally wasn't into space games until I played Galaxy on Fire 2 (that was released 2009 and very similiar in my opinion to Freelancer) on my phone (Sony Ericsson J10i on winter holidays December 2010, good days). I think Freelancer had a big influence on the game industry, and it's kinda its own genre.
Couldn't agree more! Freelancer was my first game on PC.
This is not how i remembered "Freelancer", on further investigation i've total confused it with " Wing Commander Privateer " this looks cool , has a "crimson skies " feel to it.

@@Wonderboy1990 Definitely! Classic old school Chris Roberts space sim. It has great intro and lots of gameplay. I hope Squadron 42 will be on the same level.

if you dont want missions far away look at co-ordinates jods tell you were they are so you can pick stuff close and not fuk about all over and b4 picking another mish go to all the stations in area

that fighter you got is a bit shit your better off with the ship that looks like the orig but better tier for guns and why arnt you docking with stations??? and speak to people at stations/planets/ships etc dont just pick of boards
