Antonio Nariño Airport (IATA: PSO, ICAO: SKPS) is located in the town of Chachagüí and serves the city of Pasto, which is located 35km away from the airport. The airport only handles domestic flights in addition to military operations and private charters
Elevation AMSL: 5.951 ft
The airport's runway was built on a plateau of 50 meters because of the surrounding terrain. Due to this, many pilots refer to the airport as an aircraft carrier. The runway is also relatively short for the altitude at which the airport is at.
The position of the runway means that it is often rendered useless since, in the presence of crosswinds, it prevents aircraft making a safe take off and landing. Crosswinds are common during the summer, particularly during the month of August.
Since 2007, the runway has been equipped with an Localizer, which permits airport operations during the night and when there is low visibility. However, a suitable place is being sought for to build a new airport due to the big increase in passengers and cargo and also since the current airport is often closed due to poor weather conditions.

Terrain ! Terrain ! That warning to the pilot flying next to the side of the mountain gave me goosebumps. Simply amazing landing in such a difficult, dangerous runway

The main challenge here is that in mountainous terrain such as this, the winds can be very unpredictable. Beautiful to look at though.

These professional pilots must be freaking out the challenges of suddenly appearing run way from no where ..looks like a video game landing but here it is reality ..hats off these magnificent men with flying machines ....

I love watching planes landing and taking off specially Bhutan airlines and just watched Columbia 's a really dangerous airport.I give my deepest respect to all the pilots who are flying on these difficult mountains terrain.I love you all dearly.
I love these kinds of landings, I hope if they build the new Airport they keep this one open for smaller planes and helicopters.

As far as I understand, this airport is closed at night... it is also common bad weather so it’s not surprising delays during day flights. Beautiful sightseen of the surrounding mountains and valleys!

Warnings Should Say ," Get Ur Shit Together or Ur Part of the Terrain"
Sadly its 'Retard' for Airbus pilots
The pilots have the option of turning this warning off when landing at airports like this one. It's called GPWS Override, and used to reduce distractions during certain landings. They probably left it on for effect in the video.

Reminds me a lot of Catalina Island! Tremendous optical illusion! The first time I landed at Catalina I had to go around! That's when I started using my altimeter to check my altitude to the runway. Never had problems after that! At Catalina you can see several crashed airplanes below the threshold!!
