Check out our new website: www.differentiatedanalytics.com/
Differentiated Analytics is comprehensive research platform for investors including short-selling research, a list of all active mergers of publicly traded US companies, and proprietary market data for the cruise line, airline, and energy industries. For a limited time you can use code WSM75 to get 75% off a paid subscription.
Also, after uploading this video I realized the audio and video are slightly out of sink. Once the video is published there's no way to fix it but I'll make sure to avoid this going forward.

I tried shorting in my brokerage account. Had to get approved for a margin account. I did well for the first few months, then gave up a lot of my gains in the third. It wasn't really for me so I gave up pretty quickly, but I can definitely see why its appealing. Doing the research was interesting, and seeing how quickly the trades moved was exciting, but definitely risky, definitely not for many people.

James and Ryan who I highly suspect are brothers because they look exactly alike…they make a great team. Very knowledgeable and well-researched. I hope to see a video on day trading as well and why it’s incredible prone to fail.

So presently, there's paid access to Differentiated Analytics for the price of a cup of coffee per month. Not bad. Not bad at all.

I haven’t gotten through the entire video yet, but I do want to point out, from the beginning part, that your competition, when you are a short seller is the long buyers. that is, when you sell, someone is buying. You are betting that you are right and they are wrong, so they are your competition. Also, you specifically stated that there aren’t as many people selling short to drive the stock price down to true value. That means that you are going to have to be short for a longer period of time to see gains. And you are paying interest on that loan that you have taken out to sell the stock short.

In my experience, the best shorts are when long institutional buyers are liquidating (for one or another reason) and you are surfing on their selling on the way down. Betting that short sellers will drive the stock down is very risky. In many cases, those stocks tend to be overshorted with high borrowing utilization rates and frequent short squeezes.

Turkey finally got with the program and raised interest rates to 40%.
What are the risks? Their leader did up the minimum wage by 50% leading to further inflation, so I guess it could be wiped out that way. But raising interest to 40% is the answer to inflation traditionally.

Bears attack by bringing their paws down. A bear market is going down.
Bulls attack by pushing their horns up. A bull market is going up.
Don't stand in front of an attacking bear or a charging bull.

Unlimited risk. 90% of investors are best just parking it in s&p 500 index and not touching. One of your charts showed from 2014 to 2024 it has gone up significantly.

Have you guys looked into $AI? seems to fit many of the bills - unprofitable company exaggerating their product using the AI hype and the CEO often promotes his own stock. Very high SBC to revenue ratio

Completely agree with those points about $AI. A while back we published a video about them on our main channel: th-cam.com/video/N8-doE6RG1U/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=WallStreetMillennial
