    Great review. Been running the 6000k h7rc kit for nearly 2 years now and they've been so much better than the halogens. And thanks for talking about the cut off. I haven't had anyone flashing me to tell me I'm blinding them.

      Thanks, glad it helped! I hope to do more HID kit tests in the future.

    Great video, I'm glad somebody still making HxR kits for plan reflectors. A comparison with the best LED kit and also Morimoto kit would be great.

      Hey Eugene! The Morimoto LED kit is certainly on our list to test and include in a future video. It’ll be great to see how it performs. Thanks!

    I torn between this one ,6000k/35w, and the morimoto elite 6500k with a 50w ballast. Can you please please do a vs video on both? Ps. Your videos are the best at explaining comparisons/pro/cons of each. That is exactly what I need.

    • @BulbFacts
      @BulbFacts  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Mistah, will certainly look into adding some more tests and comparisons, especially in the premium brands as we have more products now tested. The DeAuto and Morimoto kits are very comparable in terms of quality and output, and even cost. But if you go with a 50w model in either, you'll see a significantly higher output. Just keep in mind that the bulbs will not last nearly as long, as well as the ballasts, and if you are installing into a halogen reflector, you risk burning the bowl causing dark spots. I would recommend staying with 35w, it will be loads brighter than halogen still!

    Have these in my low beams. What halogen do you reccomend for my highs?

    • @BulbFacts
      @BulbFacts  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Matt, that's great! You won't find anything brighter for your low beams. For your high beams, you could also convert to LED of course, or stick with an upgraded halogen. The brightest high-beam kit we have tested so far is the Flosser High Wattage, and then the Sylvania Silverstar Ultra. You can find them on our halogen chart: bulbfacts.com/halogen-bulbs/chart/

    It’s almost sad people in this day and age of technology, I know I know America is late to everything, but damn HID tech has been around for years! Automakers don’t use them in all their vehicles because a $100 kit times a million automobiles adds up so you get cheap halogen with barely enough light to see the bumper. Yes, OEM LED is nice, but they still are not reliable for the aftermarket nor have I seen any for stock headlight housing only projection housing.This HID kit from DeAutoKey and their lifetime warranty is for every car with halogen bulbs and reflector housings, there is no comparison really.

    • @BulbFacts
      @BulbFacts  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      M. Guillermo, the DeAuto RC HID kit is quite unique, especially in the US (common in EU). I wish they would market more to all brands, but once you realize how great they work in most reflectors there is truly no comparison. LED tech is still finicky for sure. We have seen a lot of issues, especially for the cheaper Amazon models/brands, but people still want them as they are an easy install with no cutting required. Hopefully we start to see more vehicles utilize quality sealed LED headlights.

      @@BulbFacts Yea, America is intentionally late to everything that matters, luckily the rest of World that actually represents a Modern society doesn’t wait.

      Hi Mistash! Thanks for the suggestion, we'll look into that product for testing. It looks like a quality kit so it'd be interesting to see how it compares to other HID kits we've tested so far. Thanks!

    is this good for projector too? no blinding ?

    • @BulbFacts
      @BulbFacts  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Agencia! If you have projectors, go for the normal HID kit, as you don't need the special coatings for reflector style headlights. Their HIDs are extremely bright as well! link.bulbfacts.com/deautoled-hidkit

    I am interested in it but at 4:25, it looks like there is no sharp cutoff point ..this may cause glare to drivers?

    • @BulbFacts
      @BulbFacts  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Aaron! It's hard to tell in the video, but the beam pattern is nearly identical. The light output is so much greater vs. halogen that there is some background light that glows our test room, so it's a bit confusing there. I can tell you that I personally ran this kit in my car for about a year and never had anybody flash me. You'll also find similar bulbs over in EU like D2R (instead of D2S here), where they run HID bulbs similarly in reflectors with special coatings. I hope that helps clarify, but I can appreciate the concern for sure.

    Best HID for reflector housing?

    • @BulbFacts
      @BulbFacts  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sebas! This was the only kit we found after much research that is specifically designed for a reflector style housing. The Can-Bus system is great too if you have a VWAG (VW/Audi/etc) brand vehicle, as you won't get any errors on the dash or flicker like cheap HID kits. They are extremely bright without the glare of oncoming drivers. I hope that helps and thanks for watching!
