The Cool Blue Advanced's look great in my projectors and seem identical light output wise vs my 4+ year old Osram OE's. The colour temp is fantastic as well. (Matching the factory headlamp LED eyebrows perfectly). The video helped make the decision that much easier.

Thanks James for the support! The lifespan tests are completed for Xenon bulbs, and we had no issues with any of them reaching over 6700hrs, including the cheaper models as well. We plan to do more extensive testing in the future though. I'll take a look at the list you provided for future testing, appreciate the suggestions!
excellent video . i have been running the OSRAM Night Breaker 200 for almost a year and a half and i have been happy with the light output and colour, its really good on snow and ice plus being in alaska where its dark most of the year it really is useful. i have noticed in teh past month or so that the low beam output and colour has degraded I have a 1997 honda crv , do you have a recommendation for a led upgrade that will not overly blind others on the road ? ive tried a few and they have just been too bright
Thanks! The OSRAM NB200 is a great product. If you are looking for an LED upgrade with a quality beam similar to halogen, take a look at the Morimoto 2Stroke 3.0's, and the Philips Ultinon Pro9000/5000. @@siamiam I think they're the future, just like LEDs in general have become, and Xenon before that. But it'll take time to come to all markets at an affordable cost.

Why are the recommondations different in reflector and projector housings? Doesn't brighter bulbs mean brighter headlights regardless of whether it's projector or reflector?
Its not that simple. Brightness is good, but you also need focus. Having a super bright bulb that shines light into the sky and little light onto the road is useless. A bulb must be able to focus all of its lighting power directly on to the road ahead and not into the sky or on the side of the road. Also, a reflector and a projector have different abilities of preventing glare. A reflector uses the shape of the housing to limit glare. This means it can only stop glare up to a certain brightness level. Anything higher will start blinding other drivers and cause accidents. On the other hand, a projector has a physical blocker in the hosing itself the physically blocks the upper portion of the bulb. This allows a projector to have extremely bright bulbs without blinding other cars.
Hey So what’s a good better upgrade Halogen bulb for my 2022 F 250 Don’t want a yellowish like the OEM I’m going over this tutorial. Don’t want to overheat the sockets
Hi Joseph, all halogen has a yellow tint due to the technology. Some are a bit whiter than others, but if you are looking for a pure white like an LED, that would be the only option (aside from HID). Sylvania Silverstar Ultra's are a great overall halogen upgrade with a whiter color tone. It just depends on how white you'd like to go.
I have a 2015 Toyota Rav 4. The Low Beam which is 9005HB3. What bulb do you recommend ? it's my father's car and would like something that has Good lighting and distance b. thank you
I would go with the Sylvania Silverstar Ultras. They are still a top performing bulb with great output, and a bit whiter light. Just keep in mind that they won't last nearly as long as some others so you may have to change them more often.
@bulbfacts Best bulbs for h3 fog lights? Halogen or led and as white (5-6k) as possible. Trying to match my hid headlights as best as i can. (2001 lexus es300) TIA
If you have stock Xenons then I would recommend the OSRAM Cool Blue Advance as they tested right at 4300k. Otherwise if you are looking for something closer to 5000k, then you'll need LEDs which can work well in a fog-light. There are a lot of options, but take a look here depending on your budget, and look at the tested color temperature: bulbfacts.com/led-kits/chart/ You can also view our Xenon bulb test results to match up the color: bulbfacts.com/hid-oe/chart/ Just keep in mind that the color between halogen, LED, HID, may have a different tone, but they should be close in terms of the blue wavelength.
Hello! We have tested a number of the Noyka bulbs: bulbfacts.com/halogen-bulbs/chart/#nokya I'll look into the Mtec as well for future testing, thanks for the suggestion!
Hey guys, I had a quick question. Maybe you can help with reguarding a recent led swap for my fogs I had a older set of novsight leds and they worked great ive had several over the years different brands but this time i swapped out the lights and went with novsight h11 rated @ 200w but they only stay on if the car is not running. But if i put the car in (acc) (kust ignition turned/pressed 2 times) if i start the car the fogs come on but immediately flicker and turn off no matter how many times i turn the fogs on and off they just flicker off UNLESS the car is not runnning then they light up and stay on like they should im stumped and cant find anything online...any suggestions? It's for my daily driver 2012 kia optima sx thanks in advance! Hope to see new content soon!
Hi Austin. I'd reach out to Novsight, but it sounds like they are not getting enough power, or the system is shutting it off due to over voltage perhaps. 200W is pretty high (presumably for both sides, 100W/side), but I'm going to guess that they are not running that high. I plan to test some additional Novsight products, but for your situation, you may want to try a set of capacitors (decoders, anti-flicker, pwm, etc) modules to help bring the proper power upon startup.

There are more critical reasons why 5k plus bulbs are not recommended. Even at low brightness, the high whiteness of 5k plus bulbs will cause your pupils to constrict making it much harder to actually see anything, all the while your brain is fooled into thinking all is great simply do to the whiteness. Our eyes work best with a kelvin similar to that of the sun. around 4k. More info. on this can be found at the American Medical Association.
BLUE halogens are the worst possible option. Not only higher the Kelvin worse the vision of human eye, those bulbs also has LESS brightness. So bluish and weak. Regular (non halogen) 3000K lamp would be better than this.
@BulbFacts just to let u guys know. I send u an email to request for u guys about test all the led bulbs from Lasfit, all the led bulbs from Auxito, and more led bulbs from sylvania. I know u for but try the SL.BX2 led bulbs. 1st gen and 2nd gen.

Glad to hear it! Their performance does suffer due to the blue coating, but their performance is much better over some of the 'xenon style' bulbs.

Osram NB200 vs. Philips RV GT200, which do you get? @BulbFacts
Their performance is very similar, but I would personally go with the OSRAM NB200 as they lasted quite a bit longer over the Philips bulbs.

Take a look at Morimoto as they only offer quality connectors. Most of what you find on eBay and Amazon are decent, but the QC is not nearly as good.
