  • Today, we explore a timelapse of the future, specifically future technology. How will technology look 1000 years from now? In the world today, many technologies are accelerating exponentially. Humans are discovering things that would mystify scientists even a few decades ago, but our progress resembles a blip in the grand scale of our technological evolution over the next millennium.

Go back and watch panorama and horizon documentaries from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s that tried to predict the future. Most got it horribly wrong. We're making exponential progress in compute power at rates 5x Moore's law in some cases. It's not. it's a separate type of processor that uses different methods to perform different tasks. If anything, when they come down to the consumer level, they'll probably end up being separate modules like your GPU.

I am looking forward to the future. It's so exciting to see amazing technology to get more advanced each time. Each time we have more technology than ever before. I want to see a cure for all diseases and the eradication of so many diseases. Technology that we use now was once unimaginable and an impossibility. I want to live to be 120 years old. I turn 31 in August. I want to go to other parts of space. I am sure I will live to see the 22nd century begin. I see my children growing up with more technology than me. What we should save in the environment is the endangered species and end plastic pollution. For my descendants who are to be alive in a thousand years may they be with so much technology and see if they live in different places in our galaxy.

Imagine the incredible possibilities that could become our future if everything goes according to this video. It's cheesy to say but we're made out of stars and by design we are stars ourselves; radiating with energy that can create and destroy other types of life. It's baffling to me how people are still arguing about who can use what bathroom and be thrown in jail for smoking pot.

Do you really think AGI will be available in the 22. century? The pace AI is developing is huge. And that yet without real AI in the research involved. I assume we might see that in the next 10-15 years, not 80+ years tbh.

"Sarif was right about one thing. It's in our nature to want to rise above our limits. Think about it. We were cold, so we harnessed fire. We were weak, so we invented tools. Every time we met an obstacle, we used creativity and ingenuity to overcome it. The cycle is inevitable."

Some of these technologies already exist like the nfc microchip implant that's used to store data, payment system, and access control for smart devices. Most of these technologies will come much sooner than you think with AI speeding up technological advancements in multiple fields via the singularity.

You cannot wrap your head around how smart AI is capable of moving infinitely faster and innovate vs human mind.
What would take us over many centuries would take seconds to be suggested by AI.
