Variant Wolverine’s world had an Avengers meaning he most likely fought alongside Captain America in World War 2.
Its implied the world knows how he let the X-Men down when a bartender on his Earth says “I told you, you’re not welcome here.” In the same scene he tells Deadpool everyone knows who he is.
He ages slower than FOX’s Wolverine because we know he is 200 years old and doesn’t have a strand of white hair. Yet this is FOX’s Wolverine at age 191 in the happy ending of Days of Future Past with visible patches of white hair. He is actually older than when FOX Wolverine died in Logan, but that Wolverine also was vulnerable due to anti-mutant GMOs in food.
We know he lost the X-Men in a single attack and wasn’t there to help because he was drinking at a bar.
He experiences a full character arc living up to the costume he wore out of shame and broken promises saying he’s not only an X-Men but the X-Man. We also know he only wears the mask when taking enemies out permanently.
