Thank you very much Georges. Perfect video for me as I have got my 1rst one (thermo 850) for Christmas. I have a question then... What kind of biological media can I use to replace the foam. I think about seachem matrix. Then WHICH QUANTITY OF IT CAN I USE? Should I replace all of the foams? And can I fill them full? My fear is to lower the flow of water too much and cause damage to the pump. Thanks a lot for your answer that would reassure me. Good bye.
Hi you should watch pond guru he has videos where people send him filters to pump out and make them better. He has pimped out all the range of Oase filters and other brand band.
@@mickaelrousee3573I recommend the first basket from the bottom with Oase sponge, then Matrix on the others full to the top - the more the better and at the last narrow basket with fine filter mesh. This setup should be fine. I use it by myself in my BioMaster 600 for a 2,5 weeks and I can see, that the water quality is already much better. Earlier I used internal filter from Oase in my 160 l tank and it couldn't cope with the water filtration.
I have a biomaster themo 600 on a 340 litre, mixed community, medium stocked tank. I clean my prefilter (45ppi sponges) every 2-2.5 weeks and the main filter every 6 months or so.
how are everyones heaters? i just got the 150w for my 250 filter. i read mix reviews on the and so far the only thing i notice is the temperature is off (i know theres recalibration option, just havent gotten around to it.)
Just purchased the 600 and 850 because of the pre filter. Almost a month running and can’t get the air bubbles out. I shake it, tilt it and still the same. Please help. The hoses are cut clean and secured.
Nice filter, but... I have the 850 therno and the filter is noisy. I drilled extra holes into the pre filter tube, changed foams, lubricated the impeller, shaked filter to get the bubbles out, 10mm mat under the filter, baskets fitted with biohome ultimate every basket with 1 cm gap to allow good sitting of he baskets.
@@ivanmontano2470 Yes,it does that like 4-5 times in 1h, no matter what you do,I have clamps on the hose, vaseline around the pre filter and other side, all sealed,no skimmer and its still sucking in air from somewhere. But to be fair, its not that loud as it was,but it took like 3 months
Hi - I think it might have been useful if you had taken the filter apart so you can see the inner workings. The tank did nothing other than get in the way - again if you had used it to show the plumbing then it would make more sense. I think there are better instructional videos out there. On a second point water changing is the bane of aquarists life and yet nobody has invented an easy to use water changer that incorporates the gravel cleaner at one end, a pump, chamber and plumbing to the waste. I'm sure it is not a difficult device to create. I hope I am being constructive!

Had a 250 thermo for 3+years it’s the best filter ever,prefilter is a game changer for me👌
I was hesitant when I saw the price for the 350 thermal. So far I’m more than happy with the purchase
Very happy with the quality and performance of my BioMaster 600.
I so hope you will be doing a review on the new biomaster 2 pro as I don't understand German and they didn't do the video in English.
Thank you very much Georges.

Hi George how do you clean the pipes out from the aquarium to the filter without emptying the aquarium thanks Peter Barker
😊
If i buy the 250 non thermo. And i add a 150w heatup do i still need an attachment to put it in?
Hi I just got this oase 850 thermo for my tank just wondering where to set up inflow and outflow with circulation pump any ideas?

Did all that helped with the noise reduction??
Does it also has the problems of burping or sucking air?

Thanks for the real world experience. More useful than ‘ambassador’s’” sales pitch.
