    Following current Toyota trends, it will be more cheaply made and be priced around 50k. The ruined the Tundra and Tacoma, why not the Stout.

    If they made a bare bones regular cab 8ft bed little truck like little trucks of the past without the electronic garbage, turbos, and everything else that makes trucks today expensive and undependable and bring it in under $15,000 in the US they would have people lining up at the dealerships to buy them

      @doug6191 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yeah...they'd have dozens of sales each year with that configuration 🙄

      @@doug6191 Instead of selling one pretty boy truck for $$80.000 over months if they sold these as fast as they could make them they would make it on sales volume; and crush the competition; but that is just too smart I guess LOL

      @carminealiffi9738 The reality is... The market for the configuration you described is just too small. They will sell well initially, then flatten to an insignificant volume. You described a fleet-spec model, and there's probably a market for that, but it won't get much traction among individual buyers who Toyota wants.

      @@doug6191 LOL, I Remember years ago when they made trucks like that dependable and cheap that they were everywhere. One of my friends got rid of his 2 year old BMW and bought one and at the time I had a Dakota base model to run around with and loved it. I also had a new Lincoln Towncar at the time but found myself taking the truck just about everywhere, and in my profession I don't need a truck. REMember "FIELD OF DREAMS" "IF YOU BUILD IT THEY WILL COME" :)

    • @doug6191
      @doug6191 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @carminealiffi9738 I know many people believe that, but it's just not true. Nissan, Toyota, Dodge, Ford, GM, and even 1980s Mazda & Mitsubishi all made regular cab compacts with 8' beds. That died out throughout the 90s, and by 2000, it was nearly extinct. Nobody was buying them. The same was true for cars like the Toyota 86. Everyone pressured Toyota to make a small sporty coupe. "If you build it, we will come!" Toyota did. Buyers flocked to first-year sales. Then, it slowed to a negligible sales volume. It's a great car...and an honest compact would be a great pickup...but nobody will buy enough to make it worthwhile.
