  • When we sow trees in high density, it is essential to know how to manage them when they start to grow. As Ernst Götsch says: 5% is the planting effort, 95% is the management effort, which means that if we do not prune the agroecosystem in the correct time, we lose the dynamics of the system, tensions and overlapping treetops start to appear and trees begin to warp. In order to prune correctly, it is essential to know the stratum of the tree and which stratum that the tree occupies as an adult and its life cycle. In general, trees that live less raise trees that live longer. Another highlight is that on day zero we have to sow trees from all strata and life cycles, so in that way there are no voids in the strata and in the succession of the species, otherwise we will have the appearance of unwanted scrub and the emergence of diseases and insects that become pests.
