It is not a Expressway , it is only 10 lane national Highway, like upcoming NH 66 in kerala, after the completion of NH 66 in kerala, you all and government says it is also a Expressway,.. This is not Expressway, and Expressways have no service roads, only entering point and exit way and have so many interchange, if you all who says that this is an Expressway , then I prefer, go to Uttar Pradesh, China, Japan, Europe, UK, Turkey etc. To learn and see what is Expressways.
U r right but u cant compare Karnataka to up or kerala. Im from Maharashtra living in Bangalore from 5 years. Development in Karnataka is way ahead compared to up or kerala. Even small cities b/w Bangalore Mysore need entry exits as der is a lot of revenue even from dese small towns.
Everything looks great from a distance. In a closer look you will understand that the quality of this road is not up to the mark for an expressway which is designed for 100 kmph. Poor leveling/quality of tarring, unscientific banking in curves, issues with water logging etc. are very visible. Its obvious that there is a lot of cost cutting happened under the hood. In 1-2 years this road will be full of potholes and along with that the lack of lane discipline with big commercial vehicles will make night driving in this road like hell. NICE road had the same issues; they are improving the quality of road now but lane discipline is still a question

Coimbatore - Salem highway is 90% four lane road. Only a few sections are six lane on that highway, whereas Bangalore Mysore is 6 lane highway throughout
