I'm really looking forward to this one! I admire how well you have progressed with your channeland now your getting collabs and free kits to mount on new projects and I hope that one day your workshop is fully kitted out for you.
What a great looking motor it's looks so small for the power it can put out I have a E-bike with a 85nm torque and that get me up the steepest hills so this should really do the job at over 100 nm, I can't wait to see it on the bike up and running. Thanks for sharing great work the Man shed looks great.
Really looking forward to this build and seeing in particular how you fit your battery on that dual suspension frame with limited triangle space...but...where I sit as an experienced mid drive ebike builder, there is but one sheriff in town for the money, the Bafang BBSHD. Reliable, dead quiet, very powerful and won't break the bank.
What a quality looking motor, I look forward to seeing it on the Whyte, they are great bikes. Rucksack batteries scare me though with regards to falling off and the implications of landing on it. The shed is looking great, loads of room for you.
Great to see how this pans out. Interesting watching how you’ve progressed with your filming and thinking 🤔 on these bikes from when u first started. I did enjoy watching rip around on all the bikes and such but seeing the builds and collaborations is interesting. Also enjoy the motorbike stuff aswell. Great work .
Definitely more than 4k depends what bike you pick. Kit is currently 2800 euro plus any shipping import fees at least 3k I'm guessing. Bike retails 3400 or so.. you can buy cheaper bikes but this is high end stuff for serious enduro or similar
I've got one of these motor kits on my demo, after much research and agonising I decided this was the best option for me. The motor is good but there are small issues to live with. But overall by far the best available.
Shit hot mate I'll be keeping my eye on this one, I'd personally put the battery in a case and get it on the frame of the bike, I don't like the idea of coming off the bike and breaking my back on the battery anyway all the best mate I hope everything's works out.
I've got the bafang mid-drive motor on my bike but they are made for hard tails but the Paradox is in a different class made for the better full suspension mountain bikes for more experienced riders so I'm very much looking forward to this build Steve and using the back pack would make a lot of bike builds so much easier 😀 👍🏾
carbon fiber is a good choice for strength, but i don't see many heat transfer surfaces there... look at the new cyc photon, it's only 3.3kg but it has a lot of extruded aluminium fins for cooling
the price euro 2700 plus shipping just kills it.. can you fit the motor in the frame?? not to sure about the direct drive with uk winter mud and sticks could be some issues, its also really noisy , i think after using it you might be less impressed.... order a cyc kit the photon looks really cool for a light weight middrive bafang style at half the weight....
Can't wait to see how this bike project is going to end up...I think I would rather go this route than to buy a big bike company specific ebike. I think the next game changer would be this motor paired w/ a graphine battery whenever that tech becomes available.
Hi, i own the gen 2 since 2021 and rode ~3.000 km. i can say for MTB nothing comes close to the paradox kit. Bafang might be good for commuting but on MTB its not reliable and not well thought out. On MTB you need a 125 cc motocross to keep up 😅
🤣🤣🤣 iv done 2500 miles with my HD with the asi controller and so far all has been okay. Would love to race though 2800 Watts with the whole bike weighting 28kg💪
@@steverose5428 my setup weighs 18kg which still feels like a normal bike. You can use it without the motor support. 28kg sounds heavy an unwiedly to me. its not playful any more. i guess this is the main advantage for the paradox kit
I’m thinking of buying this kit for my canyon Tourqe, do you recommend? I know it’s £3600 with big battery & spanky colour, I don’t spose you have any discount codes etc looking to buy asap boss, awesome videos 🤙🤙
Hmm £3,000 - £3,200 When you do the build can you please do a total range test. Can you also do another build with a Bafang mid-drive motor as a comparison in cost?
Morning Steve, The only thing I've noticed about this particular kit I've seen online is that it's very loud that's the only negative. Have you seen the latest CYC motor? Loving all your projects mate looking forward to the build it will be epic.

Bless you thanks mate! Refreshing to hear positivity wishing people well now days! Cheers
Can't wait to see end result especially with that see wyhte full suspension bike glad you're staying with ebikes keep up the good work
Steve is satisfying all my ebike needs, nice shed by the way/ bike garage.
Good watch Steve looking forward too end results
Looks fantastic, battery could do with making into a more ergo layout and foam packages.
Looking forward to this project Steve, nice bike as well 👍👍
im excited. I have a 500w Mid drive and been looking for a decent upgrade. Notification bell on. Cant wait to see how this beast performs!!
I cannot wait for this 👍👍👍
Super tuned in and excited for this, I have a mondraker foxy r and this has got me thinking about a conversion 🤘
I'm looking forward to this one

Awesome kits and stonker of a bike to fit it to I’ll be watching would love that on my 2005 kona coiler 🚵♂️💨💨💨

Looks like a nice piece of kit , I would imagine that once that bike is all built it’s going to be - 4k which is pretty good for a higher end e bike.

I'm told a lot of things are ironed out in this gen 3 motor so we'll see
I wonder if these will be 1800 watts RMS and not PMPO 😂
Love all your vids man 👍
Great to have more options looks smaller and lighter than the BBS'
Looking forward to the next video of it being installed and test riding it.
The first time I had heard of a backpack battery I didn't realize that was the thing 😄

the cyc x1 pro gen 2/3 are not very much bigger than that and can pull 5kw.
Please stick those graphine li-po batteries & sabvoton controller on that paradox motor. Let's see what it can do!

Just thought I'd let you know you can get the bafang mid drive on a full sus iv got one 😎 and running a asi bac 855 just find the right bike 👍
@@steverose5428 hey thank you dude for your reply 🙏
I have bbshd with 52v battery on a Voodoo canzo?
@@fgtita nice 👍iv got a giant anthem 52v 2800w but think a marlin hawk hill will nice if the battery fits.
Nice kit and bike,be better if you could get battery to fit on frame.😁👍
3:48 - Not only big bikes but they can fit bmx bikes too.... Just check out Mike Fede and his bmx build w/ one. 😁
👀oooh very nice bro
Nice bit of kit, show us the screen functions in the dark and don't forget to put some lights on it..otherwise very impressive idea..well done!!😁
Screen functions ? There's no screen

Holy shit dude. That's hectic.
Looks amazing, what's the reliability like, warranty, build quality
Be interesting to see it in action!
Woah thats the best mid drive motor
I bet andy kirby wished you be more excited about his ebike stuff like you are with this lol
Its going to be a sick buld. But it looks like it need a frame built to take a motor like a shimano or bosh. I could be wrong.
This is EXCITING 😎

graphene batteries already available welcome to 2022.
Would love to see how it compares to the bbs02 with a hd controller. I'm sure there will be a big difference in price
Is the HD controller a direct swap into the BBS02?
@@nealchambers2306 yes just make sure you get a 52v battery to get the 1500w 👍

Looking for advice on if can I run a 52 volt battery on a 48 volt controller without damaging it
Back back is cool.. is it fire proof?
I'd have expected more torque than that for 1500 watts? You can get 250 watt motors with 85nm of torque. 120nm isn't much more.
Above 120Nm you start to damage bike parts. Chain, Cassette etc. They take the power with more RPMs and not Nm for that reason.
Hi Mate.what is the uk price of the kit and where to purchase?
Thx

So you now need a special frame the motor will fit?

Hmm £3,000 - £3,200
When you do the build can you please do a total range test.

Why did they gear it so high? Doesn't need 40mph in the woods..
looking forward to seeing this project progress. could be an e-bike under 50 lb with big power that's impressive.
Where can I buy very good battery pack 1800 I'm going order one of these.
The price is absolutely ridiculous. It almost $2800. And they don't even give you a display.

Where is this build??????
Kinda pricey f you ask me, I wonder how it compares to the cyc pro gen 3 for half the price!
The bbshd has 160nm ? Edit nice new gaf
Yes 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Carnt, wait , I bet it will be better ,👍
Insane price...
Vulgarity does not make up for ignorance.
Not sure what you're trying to say tbh 🤔
@@DudeStuff does not surprise me
2k noway just can't justify it
AWESOME motor, an average human can do about 20nm with an Indian rope burn/twist ya forearm 🤣so 120 is the dogs danglers.
I dont like to pedal.. and I'm fat! So give me power to get my fat ass up Hills 😂😂👍👍👊👊
$3000, your out of your mind.
Ridiculously overpriced for what you get. I will stick with reasonable priced Bafang at the moment.
It's easy to talk shiot about something when it's given to ya. I don't care what it's made of or how much it weighs, $3000 is ridiculous.
