So anyone noticed how the West church kept shattering, splitting, dividing and new forms of belief and worship sprung about everyone else believing THEY are the one true way to believe in our God, in our Lord Jesus? The Orthodox church has never split on a theological issue. Which goes to show that what the pope did by changing the Nicene creed, he opened Pandora’s box and allowed everyone the right to change the church willy nilly!
@@redeemedzoomer6053 God you don’t know what you’re talking about. The notion that the Oriental Orthodox Church “never split” and that Chalcedonian Christianity led to “endless schism” is both historically inaccurate and a gross oversimplification. Let’s be clear: the disagreement over the Council of Chalcedon was primarily theological and not some chaotic breakup. Chalcedon was an essential ecumenical council that clarified Christ’s dual nature as fully divine and fully human-building directly upon the doctrinal foundation of Nicaea and Constantinople, which all branches of Christianity accept. The Oriental Orthodox rejection of Chalcedon wasn’t some morally superior act of unity but a result of misunderstanding theological terminology. And let’s not pretend that Oriental Orthodoxy has been free of internal divisions; just because their schisms were less publicized doesn’t mean they didn’t exist. The Armenian Apostolic Church, for instance, developed distinct practices from the Coptic and Syriac Orthodox due to geographical and political isolation. Additionally, there were non-Chalcedonian groups like the Assyrian Church of the East with completely divergent theologies. If anything, it’s the Eastern Orthodox Church that has preserved a unity in doctrine, sacraments, and liturgy, despite occasional splits caused by political and external pressures. Moreover, both Eastern and Oriental Orthodox have since engaged in ecumenical dialogue, agreeing that they share a similar Christology, albeit expressed differently. This reconciliation makes it clear that Chalcedon itself wasn’t the cause of endless division but rather a historical challenge in articulating Christ’s nature accurately. So, if you’re claiming that Chalcedonian Christianity is to blame for division, perhaps it’s time to reexamine the facts and acknowledge that Eastern Orthodoxy has maintained theological continuity in ways that Oriental Orthodoxy, frankly, has not.

Hello! I once had an idea of how the Trinity works. I am looking for help figuring out if it is a heresy. Once I was studying Ancient Egyptian beliefs and I learned that the in ancient times the soul was never thought of as one whole thing like it is now. In Ancient Egypt they thought the soul was made of two parts. The Ba and the Ka. So, my idea was that God’s soul was made of three parts: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. I don’t think it is not a heresy; but I want to know for sure. I don’t think it does commit the heresy of tri-theism. But I don’t know about modalism. Like when Jesus roamed the earth I can’t explain it with that understanding of the Trinity. Is it a heresy?
It's always great to explore other belief systems! God is a completely united, but distinct 3-in-1 divine being. Humans start as a 3-in-1 being with a physical body in natural realm, spiritual body in spiritual realm, and soul that's a bridge between the natural and spiritual realm. Only humans have souls. God, angels and animals do not have souls, but do have spiritual bodies. God uniquely has a divine nature because God is a divine being. In the current heavens/earth, God the Father and Jesus currently dwell in the 3rd heaven (only a spiritual realm, outside of the rest where the spiritual realm and natural realm are woven together), and the Holy Spirit dwells everywhere. Comparing it to that ancient Egyptian belief. The ka is similar to the human's spiritual body, while the ba is similar to the human's soul.

Stunning work, such expertise; definitely favoriting this. There's so much to take in though that even after my own religious education I still can't decide which denomination is right for me. I was raised southern Episcopalian. I really believe in the power of Catholic rituals, but I don't necessarily believe in the authority of man-made institutions or the infallibility of clergy. I love the nerdy--scholarly approach and theological discourse, but I would prefer a more conservative, scripturally strict based practice. Lastly, I don't believe in pre-destination because it seems in conflict with free-will to me too. Can someone help a brother in Christ?
Is Mary stupid? If someone appears and tells you you’re going to have a baby, the obvious implication is if you’re a virgin now you won’t be anymore, so why would she ask such a stupid question?
When I was an Anglican, we weren’t allowed to portray the pilgrims in our school’s Thanksgiving festivities because the puritans were reformed. While I now know that some Anglicans are reformed, it should be noted that they are a very small minority. Every parish I was ever a part of rejected Calvinism wholesale.
@ I’m not certain, but I think Calvinism is the antithesis to Methodism. You can probably find a home in a low-church Anglican parish - if you can find one. I’m in the Deep South and a Calvinistic Anglican parish is almost unheard of. Not sure of other regions. I’d urge you to rethink Calvinism, but who am I?

@@mlwilliams4407 Don’t worry it didn’t come off to preachy. I am so glad to find someone who knows about Hermeticism😁. I have read The Kybalion twice and I found my religion. I am currently trying to read The Corpus Hermeticum. It is very complex but I know I will understand it. I have no interest in converting, preaching, or debating anyone. If someone resonates with Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, or any other belief system that is not a problem. Every religion leads to the divine in some way or another. It took me a couple of years to find my beliefs. I was a Christian, but now I am an occultist. I study Hermeticism and practice Ceremonial Magick. Sorry about the long comment 😅 I am so excited to find someone who knows about Hermeticism.
Hey! I noticed something about this at 7:00, this pattern looks similar to what happens in my walk with God, I ask him to help me with a problem, the problem is fixed and I have peace but then get distracted and start to feel bad and far seay from him again, then I come back to him ... I don't like this
Well done.
10:50 in the Bible it doesn't say how many wise men there were. I think the catholics invented this number
Hmmm it seems like I agree with covenant theology, new covenant theology and dispensationalism.
Is Mary stupid? If someone appears and tells you you’re going to have a baby, the obvious implication is if you’re a virgin now you won’t be anymore, so why would she ask such a stupid question?
Stupid could be profane.
Please make a video about the Maronite Church.
2:55 ‘Empire of Ohio’ lol
We throwing tantrums over Luce with this one.
Let's watch how Protestants explain the relationship between the Bible and the Church.
🍿👀
The firmament separating the waters above and below are not clouds bro
I love this video
A church is not a building !
A church is the body of Christ, which is the people who expected Jesus as the .messiah.
I'm considering Anglicanism or methodism deciding where in between.
And I'm a Calvinist lol
@ I’m not certain, but I think Calvinism is the antithesis to Methodism. You can probably find a home in a low-church Anglican parish - if you can find one. I’m in the Deep South and a Calvinistic Anglican parish is almost unheard of. Not sure of other regions. I’d urge you to rethink Calvinism, but who am I?
@@cassidyanderson3722 every Methodist in Wales is a Calvinist and George Whitefield the co founder of methodism was and is a Calvinist
@ I did not know that. Not sure if you find that same dichotomy in America. Thanks.
@@cassidyanderson3722 I love reading Methodist and Anglican books both Arminian and Calvinist.
These two British denominations are what I understand the most as a American.
ok but the french was not bad! bien parlé :)
Redeem Zoomer: THE MOVIE
Im not a Christian but i like watching this stuff cuz it's soothing but your profile description isn't inviting at all. Sounds full of hate and judgement
What about Azusa street and Pentecostal?
Ecclesiastical History Summarised: The Movie
Why was it renamed Comic Sans Movie
Why was Moses punished so much? I mean, I only know his history by a couple movies, but to me it looks like he should be the Messiah but then he was left behind
Where do the Mennonites fit into the church history? I'm not sure whether I missed them or they didn't play a part here. Can someone fill in the gaps for me?
They were anabaptists who followed the teachings of Menno Simons. Apart of the Radical Reformation compared to the Ministerial Reformation
