    WAV stands for Wheelchair Accessible Van. I was told be Uber corp. that they are an app company and not a transportation company.

      Thank you for the clarification.
      Yes Uber is a transportation network company.

    Hello ladies 🙌🏾, Tee here!! These are great to attend. I actually drove for our Metro service here in Cincinnati and TANK in KY before branching out in NEMT. I remember being in training and exactly what the young lady shared was an example of what was shared in training. A lot of operators tell riders that the don’t know how to secure ♿️. This is insane because training last about 8-13 weeks depending on the instructor and how fast the individual catches on. Even veteran drivers have the same amount of training when they switch companies. You ARE taught the wheelchair securement training for sure. You don’t make it out of training unless you can show this to your instructor. When they pulled a gentleman’s tape in Kentucky and he said the same thing (he didn’t know how) they fired him. He left the rider at the stop🤦🏽‍♀️. Good thing they had courage to call in. Of course he switched companies but mouth was on the floor when I heard this. Now she’s saying it. We have to do better!! Don’t take the position if you don’t want to showcase the skills 😊

      Hey Tee! It's truly disheartening. I had a lengthy conversation with the young lady in the video, and hearing about her struggles broke my heart. She represents countless others facing similar challenges. Dealing with our community requires compassion, and if it's lacking, it's better to not take on the job.

    This seems as though this is a very sensitive topic as they all are taking accountability. Amazing. I’m sure they are going to correct this issue. Will it be right away no but over time improvement will be seen

      It certainly won’t happen overnight but I hope these issues are addressed because the people deserve it.

    Part of the problem is the public transport systems are non profit and they can not go outside the county they are funded in. The laws everywhere need to change so that companies can cross county lines. The public transportation is too government funded and too restricted.

    • @Mjbusinessacademy
      @Mjbusinessacademy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The transit system needs to be more accommodating actually here in California. A lot of bus routes have closed down due to lack of drivers. It’s really disheartening to hear the stories of these individuals that can’t get from point age point B due to their physical limitations. It’s just wrong.
