Also, can I add that I love how confident the women in your family are. I strive for that type of confidence to be instilled within my own current and future family. My sisters and I have an inferiority complex so it’s really a fresh of breath air to see other Central American latinas with so much confidence.
I think it will be awesome watching you remodel the new home. I think I started getting interested in home remodeling and decorating in my early 20`s. I loved HGTV in the early days, it was more into decorating, although I'm a big House Hunter fan .
I have personally always been super interested in architecture, design, and real estate since a very young age (as well as my twin brother). I remember always making our parents and grandparents drive us through all the neighborhoods in our town and the neighboring cities to see all the different architecture and things that were going on around us! And now I’m getting ready to get my real estate license!
I am from Providence, Rhode Island and my favorite place in the city is at the waterfires that are held every summer into fall and all the restaurants that surround that area. You can smell the fires and hear the music that is being played throughout the area. Free to go to and walk around aswell.
I was born and raised in Charlotte (live in NY now) and while I think it’s ~cool~ seeing how much the city has developed since I’ve lived here, it’s also devastating that many people have been displaced and live in tent city. Tent city was never a ‘thing’ when I was growing up here and just seeing how many homeless people there are in Charlotte breaks my heart. I’m sure you mean well when you say these things but thought I’d add this perspective as well.
You can tell the house is so so loved!!! Can’t wait to see the reno! We are in the same stages of life, I just bought a house and completely renovating it at the moment! Can’t wait to get inspo from you!
I'm from a suburb of Chicago. My favorite thing to do is go see new construction open houses. I love seeing the designs and I also use it for inspiration!!
I live in Raleigh, but not a State girl. Go Heels! I love the combination of city and nature here in Raleigh. You can still shopping and dining locations as well as places to see sports and hiking as well all in the same place. Plus the beach in mountains are within driving distance.
Love house tours! It was the fun part of playing The Sims (hahaha I still play now and then) but yeah it's amazing seeing how interiors and design can change the whole vibe & feels of houses.

It was a tough adjustment as I fell to the narrative “there’s nothing to do” and “Delaware is boring”, so I spent most weekends traveling to the nearby major cities (NYC, Philly, DC and Baltimore).
