- Inspired by events of the Eastern Front, encircled in a large pocket, the German 9th Army desperately needs to take action, to avoid Soviet captivity. Disregarding insane orders to relieve Berlin, the General decides to head west, and surrender to the Americans. Here's the story of those civilians and soldiers who went against all the odds, to escape through the Hable forest and fields. Lack of food, fuel, and ammunition, this is the German last assault, an all-out mission in order to save lives.
This is a highly anticipated cinematic story-driven scenario, showing you epic scenes and all the best moments.

Well done! On April 16, 1945 the Ninth Army had roughly 200,000 troops when Zhukov's armies blasted the Seelow Heights. After 24 hours of continuous resistance the Ninth Army had to fall back. By the time they fought their way westward and linked up with the Twelfth Army, hampered by civilians seeking protection, they were down to 40,000 exhausted troops out of ammo. The last Tiger tank broke through the last Russian defenders but the Tiger also had no ammo. Love the historical accuracy. You are a God!

really amazing how they managed to escape from that many soviet soldiers. From the article I've read years ago, the germans still had two functional Tiger II tanks after successfully escape.

Well, this was a Great Video, also that Downfall Like Scene was pretty nice too
There is a novel written on the breakout of the German 9th Army. The book's name is the Last Panther and it is written by Wolfgang Faust who fought as a Panther tank commander during the breakout. It is a fascinating book and really shows the brutality of the war in general, with numerous unspeakable crimes presented throughout. If you are looking for a realistic, bloody, and intriguing memoir about the breakout, this is the book for you.

My father took part in this battle belonging to the 32th Waffen SS Division "30. Januar". It must have been hell on earth, burning woods, exploding tanks, burning horses. After his death I found very personal diary records written by a close comrade: "Comrade (my familiy name) tried st shoot himself. Ich succeeded beating the rifle out of his hands in the last second." So I owe this guy my existence.

I'm just surprised at this point the Germans had ANY fuel at all.
@@charadreemur6449 but during 1945, they were barely struggling to find oil, many of their vehicles ran out of oil, and was later on destroyed by the German army to avoid falling into enemy hands.

Their scientists invented some kind of substitute fuel wich didn't worked as efficient as normal fuel But if you don't have anything better?
According to survivors it was like Mad Max, they'd siphon gas from any vehicle, from civilian cars even commanders cars for the tanks

Read the book " the last panther" the horror and carnage was unspeakable, the best place to be was inside a tank, artillery and air attacks decimated anyone outside including many civilians.

Cemetery at Halbe is worth a visit. It's more or less 30 minutes on the train from Südkreuz. Went there on a winter day a few years ago. Hard to be there when you know what happened...

Its common sense amongst many german historians or veterans that if germany would have removed their troops out of africa, italy and so on ( or just having warm clothing in the first winter! ) and put this into soviet union they would have won ... They where so close to moskau, imagine there were 1.000.000 german soldiers more, what would have happened... So if the USA joined what would have happend, certainly interesting but the outcome would be clear.

Sometimes memory crashes do happen, but I've learned to work around those problems.

During the Battle of Berlin, the Charlottenbrücke was one of the last remaining bridges in German controle and was defended by elements of the Hitlerjugend (Hitler Youth). On 1 May 1945, the German army and many cititzens succeeded to retreat from the centre by crossing this bridge under heavy shelling from the Soviet 47th Army. Heinrich Himmler's brother (Erwin Himmler) was killed in action during this breakthrough.
Be interesting to see if u could hold the bridge long enough with accurate weapons etc for the civilians to evacuate
感覺上德軍不是一般作戰，德軍真正的目的突破蘇軍的包圍逃往西歐向美軍投降，因為他們不想被蘇軍俘虜屠殺。所以德軍打敗蘇軍以後沒有接管蘇軍的防線而是繼續前進往法國和西歐跑逃亡美國佔領區。
