- Germans are on their way to Moscow, and there lays one final big city that must be captured. Soviet defenders fought hard till the last men and only a few surrender. Smolensk was taken within 3 weeks, and the German invasion's next objective was the road to the capital.

Battle for Smolensk itself in middle of July 1941 waa rather a whimper compared to this, though.Only 32nd rifle corps of 16th army (only remaining one after the destruction of 7th mechanized Corps at Lepel)was present there with 2 rifle divisions against 20th motorized and not sure what panzer divisions.
Yes and soviet losses were 10 times those of the axis. The AI for GOH isn't great so the scripted battles are always off in some way

Только помнят они о этих сражениях крайне карикатурно, из всяких игр и тд, тот же Сталинград не может обойтись без одной винтовки на троих. Хотя советы в реальности в Сталинграде воевали элитными штурмовыми отрядами, вооружёнными до зубов.
@@СибирскийЧёрт Таки прям все там были элитными отрядами. Если погуглите то были случаи из за проблем с логистикой когда пополнение прибывала или слабо вооружённое либо с недостаточным количеством боеприпасом а тои вовсе без них. Конечно когда войска прибывали на фронт совсем без оружия было кране редко явление если не сказать единичное.
@@eisenschnaps521 суть в том, что войска тащат с собой оружие, или ты думаешь дивизия выступает к линии фронта, а вооружение оставляет где-то там, ну скажи бред.
В ходе городских боёв, использовали хорошо обученные и вооруженные штурмовые отряды, это не была элита из элит, однако после мобилизации эти подразделения можно назвать наиболее подготовленными.
@@eisenschnaps521 да и есть гуглить, то первым же высвечивается проблема логистики немецкой армии, почему они и в конечном итоге потерпели поражение.

Первые противотанковые ружья появились только зимой 1941 года на фронте,летом и осенью 1941 года их не было.
Ну это же игра могут быть условности например некоторые немцы без касок хотя это запрещалось уставом. И в РККА кстати тоже.

It only was used during 1941 (not counting that prototype being used during the Winter war).Only about 300 were built,and weren't viable combat vehicles due to number of flaws it had.
In 1939-1941 years...
