I'm a huge fan of Creed. Mark Tremonti is an amazing guitarist, and his distinct sound is awesome. I've loved the band since I first heard "Higher" back in 1999... My favorite album is "My Own Prison" and the title track is beyond awesome. I also like Nickelback, "This is How You Remind Me" is one of my favorites by them.
Nickelback will always be special to me. When i was the hospital for a good year one of the nurses was neighbors with chad and said there's a kid whos a big fan in there. Turns out at the same time they were working on the darkhorse album and i got a signed album and it got me through some dark times in the hospital.
Exactly whoever thought it was a good idea to plant in people's heads as to how bad they are are morons, and those who swallow that shit up without a second thought or even bigger morons.
U2 was the first band to openly embrace a video game character, Lara Croft in one of their tours and appear in that character's first outing in a live action movie; Angelina Jolies first Tomb Raider movie and their contribution to the sound track, Elevation with the Edge appearing in scenes from the film for the music video.
Imagine Dragons is my all-time favorite band! I saw them live for the very first time in July, and it turned out to be the greatest moment of my life!!!
2000s Coldplay was pretty good. But, for me atleast, they lost the plot in the 2010s, when they start making cheap EDM songs as opposed to the alt-rock ballads they were good at.
I used to like Colplay anyway, but recently I became obsessed with their music and I was at one of their concerts. One of the best experiences of my life. I can understand if the music is not for everyone, but hate? Never!
I trace it back to one homophonic joke in the movie The 40 Year Old Virgin. Paul Rudd called Seth Rogan gay for liking Coldplay and suddenly everyone’s hating on them.
Imagine dragons and coldplay kinda suffered from the same stuff. General hate from rock fandoms/other bands because how them influencing rock very questionably with their later stuff aka alternative/modern rock combining pop and just turning into the alternative genre. Maybe same can be said for maroon 5 but they were not really a rock band in the first place usually doing poprock stuff. I never heard people openly hating Muse that much. Not to mention Muse tend to alternate between their old and new sound for every two albums.
Nobody has made anyone feel bad about loving U2 for a veeery long while. No matter what they did, they still remain one of the greatest rock bands of the last 30 years.
Considering I've seen Imagine Dragons 4x, MUSE 4x, Hootie and the Blowfish, and DMB, and tried to see Creed the 2x they had a tour stop, I am not apologizing one bit. 😂 Someone mentioned Depeche Mode. I saw them too. 😊All were great concerts.
I think they're more hated in the UK, I understand that over there they were basically what Linkin Park was to the US before Chester died (in other words, a band that was cool when you were in middle school but you're an adult now and you should be over it)
This may be nostalgia talking, but I really like Nickelback for its guitar play and grungy vocal by Chad Kroeger . Like who could forget Hero from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man?
I was actively telling friends about BabyMetal, they are so amazing! Their sound is unique and pulls me in! | With Imagine Dragons, everyone I knew enjoyed their songs | Okay I thought I was crazy with the U2 album randomly being on my iPod! I got the free song during the Superbowl then magically a whole album out of nowhere!
Meg from Family Guy is always getting dumped on. She gets a whole bunch of crap that she doesn't deserve. I've always seen Nickelback as the Meg of the music world.
I never felt bad about loving Creed and Nickelback. Weathered and All The Right Reasons are two of my favorite albums of all time. 😂😂😂 As far as Creed goes, yes Scott Stapp was a big tool back in the day and yes With Arms Wide Open is a giant meme and is incredibly overplayed, but Scott has gotten his issues together and Creed’s other songs like Bullets, One Last Breath, My Sacrifice and Hide go hard. At least Nickelback kept their act together and never had a horrendous breakup like Creed did twice. And Limp Bizkit isn’t that hated anymore.
@ , yeah that too, I forgot to add that, there was definitely a lot of confusion from everyone over whether or not Creed was a “Christian Rock Band” because some of their songs had Christian-overtones and Scott Stapp grew up in a strong Christian upbringing, but they were definitely not a Christian Rock Band as Scott Stapp’s hilarious lifestyle back in the day can definitely attest to that.
Muse!!!! Are you kidding me? Awesome!!! Imagine dragons shouldn't also be on this list, in my opinion... And I will never be ashamed to listen to U2! Limp Bizkit reminds me of my early teenage years. What a good time!
IN MY OPINION, MY FAVORITE BAND IS PEARL JAM BUT IT SEEMS I HAVE DEFEND MYSELF FOR LOVING THE BEST LIVE BAND EVER!! JUST LIKE U2 AND NICKLEBACK. I LOVED CREED HAD ALL THEIR CDs. PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS PUTTING DOWN PEARL JAM. YES, THEIR POLITICAL BUT THEY BEEN POLITICAL SINCE THE BEGINNING. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS AWESOME VIDEO. 😊💓🔥🤘✌️
Ah yes, the bands hipsters hate and scorn at you for liking them. But guess what, no one likes hipsters or guys pretending to be cool. So I rather enjoy all of these acts and stay uncool than being a hipster..
The only justification that anyone could say as to why they would hate Nickelback is simply because they were overplayed. That is literally it. They never deserved half the hate they received. They didnt have a nauseating fanbase, they were not just churning out dud after dud and being forced anyway. They were a tremendous band with a ton of legitimate hits.
I’m not American and like Depeche Mode. I was made fun of and called the equivalent of “Emo Dweeb.” I didn’t even wear black, or makeup, or do any of the things associated with “Emos”. It took me a while to stop caring about what they did and said. In a funny twist, during Covid lockdown I was bored, looked up some of my old bullies, and saw that some of them were fans of bands like “My Chemical Romance” and “The Cure.” Such hypocrisy! 🤦🏻♂️
I couldn't give a toss what other people think about my musical tastes. Creed and Nickelback are awesome. Also who the hell thinks Muse are embarrassing to listen too??? One of the best bands I've ever seen live 💪
As much hate as Creed gets they continue to sell out concert venues. I saw them this summer and they said it was the biggest crowd they have ever played to. And as many problems as Scott Stapp had in the past he has gotten his act together and is sounding and looking better than ever.
I don't outright hate any of these bands, at least not to the point of dissing someone for liking any of these bands. For ones like Coldplay, I can't stand them, I feel off the back of them being played so damn often on radio & tv. Creed because of the outright blatant worship lyrics. If you're dissing someone because of their music tastes... why? What gets you to that point?

Nickelback has such good motivational songs like "What are you waiting for?" or "When we stand together" . How can they hate them?
I certainly don't!
And "If today was your last day"
They have great motivational songs. Then there's "Something in your Mouth" which makes me feel like the baddest bitch on the planet lmao
A lot of these bands suffered from the same problem. They were played so much that people got sick of hearing them everywhere.
You should never feel ashamed of loving something just because other people don’t
You like what you like & that’s what matters
The most common thing that all the bands shown is that they found massive success and people hates their success
There's a difference between hating an entity that happens to be successful vs hating the success of an entity.
Muse and Linkin Park have a ton of great songs. In fact, the first Twilight movie was almost watchable, thanks to their involvement on the soundtrack.
I'm a huge fan of Creed. Mark Tremonti is an amazing guitarist, and his distinct sound is awesome. I've loved the band since I first heard "Higher" back in 1999... My favorite album is "My Own Prison" and the title track is beyond awesome.

What the hell is Muse doing here? I thought they were one of the greatest rock bands of this century.
Repetition, in both musicality and theme.
They are ass .
The singer has a wimpy, dorky voice
LOL. His voice is absolutely atrocious
You (and a small minority) did. The majority didn’t and often mocked Muse fans.
This is more or less a list of "Radio Overplayed Bands that people got sick of, plus Muse and Babymetal".
I don't give a fuck what people say, I love Nickelback and it is about time that people started to respect them
I'm with ya man

U2 has a ridiculous amount of great songs, they shouldn't be hated. Easily one of the greatest and most influential rock bands of all time.
I didn't like U2, but I happen to like them years later. They are very talented.
Bono was cool. But telling people to give money to feed Africa? C'mon Man. I could barely afford the album. WTF? He turned into Potsie Webber. 🤢

MUSE slap and I will never be ashamed for being a fan
I didn't think people actually HATED Babymetal, I just thought that a lot of people didn't see the vision.
Imagine Dragons is my all-time favorite band! I saw them live for the very first time in July, and it turned out to be the greatest moment of my life!!!
that is an absolutely awesome take, Imagine Dragons is literally so friggin good idk why people hate on them so much
I can't stand when people are just hating on Nickelback so much
I didn't realize people hated on Coldplay. I always liked their music. Paradise is one of my favorites.

Duran Duran - especially back in the late 80s.
