How are you guys considered experts when your attempt at fording is slamming into the water and creating a 10 ton barrier? for real. You also could have run a line up through a snatch, and had somebody at it, to run towards the truck, and then attach it the instant they stop, and you get winching within seconds of bogging. You can also pressurize your cabins with an onboard compressor to keep ingress to a minimum. But what the fuck would I know? And you could have done this without a trailer, and just winched that up the bank, and then gotten #2 up whichever way was best. kinetic. winch. with or without trailer. but once again, everyone on the internet is a moron, right? #noonedoesanythingexceptpeopleonyoutube
Simon and jase, yous know what youre doing. No dout, jase definitely too much speed. Probably would of got stuck anyway with the depth and base. I did not like seeing the new bloke get between vehicles in recovery and was definitely a no to jump in and grad the rope/strap like that. I hope it was just the way it was edited, if not yous need to pull him up on that.
too fast. too small a tire..should of got vehicle across then towed the boat across. slow & steady wins. & big tires. v8 dont mean sht. plus ifs is crap. electronics, sensors, not your friend.. computer says no.
Let's just call them the Bogged Bogans. For the benefit of overseas viewers, these are not your typical Australians doing 4W driving in remote areas. We are actually intelligent and well educated. This and a few other channels are misrepresenting what it's really like just to get viewers and subscribers. Thats how they make their money. FYI, the Telegraph Track is closed by police after a reasonable amount of rain because it's impassible and to reduce the wholesale destruction of tracks by vehicles like these in wet conditions. There is a perfectly good, graded road that has replaced the track that everybody uses now. You Don't even need a 4WD to get to Cape York anymore.
how long have you guys been doing this and you're still making week one mistakes. you can't push around tonnes of water no matter how much power you have.
18psi to 12psi makes a world of difference, especially in soft water crossings. Hit the water way too quick! Anyway, enjoy what you do and enjoyed this video!
The most memorable videos these guys make are the ones that go wrong. Losing the quad in the croc infested river still holds number 1 position though 😅
A lot of comments here disregarding their main reason for not giving it another try was the deeper crossing they'd heard about further up! Good call, do it another tirp.
Nobody ever makes it through Nolan’s charging in like that🤦♂️🤦♂️ All you did was churn up the soft sand Slow and steady is the key here Last time I was there we spent 2 days camped there watching everyone else come through The smart ones hooked up first and just dragged each other after the first 2 That ridiculous big trailer didn’t help either
And they even hooked on a strap knowing it was going to be a fail yet leave Simon’s ute ( with attached caravan 🤦🏻♂️ ) parked up the road instead of hooking it on so it’s ready to go 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Hubby showed me you guys years ago, but on TV ❤ you guys are up there with Malcolm Douglas, my mate reckons Alby 😅 I love your quick cooking section thank you for showing us how to live xo

I think if I could afford to own a 200 series I'd be taking the chicken track :/ Good on you guys for giving it a go, looked like it was up pretty high compared to other times you've been there. Cheers
Agree 100% the electrical problems will begin, great content plenty of sponsors , have done Nolan's in old dunggers not direct injection common rail no issues.
What you's should of done is take the seats out, console out & the carpet out (max 2 hours) hang the carpet up for a day, dry it inside & put it all back together! But thats me I'm a Panelbeater!!

We’re in 🇦🇺 mate, not the 🇺🇸👍😉 And “that’s not what I wanted to happen” …. could kinda see that happening with that much weight on the back 🤷🏻♂️🤔
What do you expect hitting chest deep water at that rate of knots...... easy does it with a tarp across the bullbar might have made a huge difference. At least your sponsors got screen time which will cover the repairs. Cheers
As I saw Simon getting into position I thought to myself why wouldn't u disconnect the trailer!!! If he didn't have the trailer and had the bum pointed towards the water at the start Jase wouldn't have had a drop of water in the car.
What's the issue with filling the car with water? that was one of the techniques we used as the weight of the water helps hold the vehicle down and stops them floating away. I've used the same technique in a 2 wheel service truck
Too fast mate. Simon's got the idea right. Or unhook, take the 200 through to use for snatch for the Simon with the van. Send Simon back empty to get the other trailer for Jase's car. 👍🏻
Definitely just getting bogged for a bit of content, surely if you've done it before as many times as they say you know to just creep through and don't spin your wheels and you'll just creep through
I wonder if the trailer brake controller was activated the trailer brakes after you hit the wall off water... Hope you had it fully turned off/disconnected
All the experts here 🤣 They had a crack, didn't work like many others who get caught out there. What I don't get is all the talk about prep and making sure everything is in place yet it all went out the window and no one was ready. Like they discussed, Simon should have been in his car waiting, old mate ready in the water and windows up! Not sure why Simon had his van on either whilst knowing he would have to do a reverse recovery? Good effort though, I probably wouldn't take my vehicle through there
What did you expect?? your mates were just standing there watching you, instead of having the rope out behind you and in the recovery car which was miles away
I reckon you woulda got through without a trailer and different drive tactics.. I didn’t expect to watch the chicken video today. Never thought I’d see the day. Well done boys but I reckon you’s might just be a getting a little older and softer. Happens to the best of us haha!
Smashed a like of course fellas.....but some synchronised shirt lifting, (between all the boys), at less then 1 min, had me thinking! Hahhaha especially after watching a Willem Powerfish episode aye! And then a few mins later talikng about hard stuff!! Haha...be ya self boys! Connotations much?

Love these blokes, but this is the first time I reckon I've seen a bit of ego get in the way. Should've taken old mates suggestion to unhook the trailer, let some more air out, and go a lot slower through it.
Perfect drive and call, that drop off was always going to stop you. Even getting a single vehicle over and trying to get it to get you out would of been to risky.
The correct place to cross is right behind you or on the right of the crossing where you first walked through. That point sticking out with the big tree on it, go as close to that as you can the vehicle will be deep in on the left but it's not going to float, I've done that crossing 10 times in my shitty old LandRover Discovery D1 Tdi with many of the Patrols, HiLuxes, and Land cruisers "wallowing" on the other lines across. You're right though, only the first three crossings of the day go ok because all the holes in the bottom fill with sand overnight until it gets dug out by the first few. Not a good look for you chaps having to "run the chicken".
i would have the tow truck reversed down and then the trailer could have been back closer in the creek and then it would be quicker to connect the tow and it would be a strait pull out
I really don’t think they could get through there, no matter what!, as Jason said….”the Cruiser was virtually floating”, no purchase on the ground below at all so letting the tyres down more wouldn’t have any positive effect at all!!!.
