We also went on day 1 to ask about pre-ordering & how best to do that in case we were seated with others so as not to be too disruptive. I was able to pre-order for that night, which made meeting our dinning team much less chaotic. Thank you again for all your great tips. We had an amazing cruise, with minimal issues. Great video, we also enjoy DCL. Favorite ship is the next one I can be on. I've debated trying another cruise line then I think about how well DCL accommodates my celiac and food allergies, then decide to book another DCL sailing! We are excited our next sailing is on the first DCL ship we started on, the Magic
DCL is so good with special dietary needs. Like you, it is one of the many reasons we love to sail the DCL ships! So exciting about your upcoming sailing on the Magic. It's one of our favorites in the fleet!

We're glad that the info was helpful! Great question about GF beers and ciders. Most of the ships do usually have a few hard ciders on tap in the pub style bars/lounges but not gluten free beer. Sometimes you can find GF beer in bottles on the ship, but it varies by sailing and what supplies are available. We'll check on our upcoming cruise to see what options are on the Disney Dream when we sail!
The head server is also the person you should reach out to if something goes wrong or you have a concern. During my last cruise they almost put gluten filled soy sauce on my dish. I luckily spotted the red lid right before it occurred. I discussed this almost mistake with the head server and he was very visible the rest of the entire cruise and he double checked absolutely everything before it was put in front of me.
That's a really excellent point and tip! Things can happen, and a head server is definitely one you want to alert if something comes up. I'm so sorry you almost got glutened on your last cruise. 😢 That was a good catch and definitely good that you let your head server know.
Thanks for doing this video for all of us! I always preorder my meals including breakfast! Sometimes I struggle to decide what I want for dinner when I am full! DCL is the best! Whichever the ship I am on at the time is my favorite ❤

Things can change across ships & specific sailings depending on lots of factors, including supplies (at least based on our experience, where we might be able to get a product on one ship but not on a following sailing). We've been able to get DF ice cream in all the places we noted and will definitely report back on our upcoming sailings our experience too.

I tried ordering room service at 11pm one time and they said the allergy kitchen isn't open that late and that I had to order food in the morning. Has anyone here ever ordered at night and gotten gluten free?

I know for a fact that at least once we did order room service a little after 11:30pm, to include gluten free, and there were no issues. Again, Sarah will respond with more as she’s the one with the better memory, but we have absolutely gotten room service after 11pm. I am so sorry you had that happen, though!

You can get them both at Cabanas/Marceline Market or at main dining. We've done both! 😍

My last cruise on the magic, they told me my only option for dairy free ice cream was to go to the specialty shop or buy a dole whip
