Even just hearing the first chord I knew this was going to be deep playing.

So many musicians play Chopin with little expression but this wonderful pianist plays the Chopin would want it played. I have played Chopin all my life and he is my dearest and favorite composer. Thank you for posting this marvelous performance!

GENIUS of our time, Maestro Mikhail Pletnev performing in Edinburgh in the Edinburgh Festival has West meeting East getting closer to Canada! How exciting! This performance of Chopin shows his subtlety, sensitivity and strength encompassed in an unfathomable mind. Thank you Classical Rarities more than words can express for this opportunity to hearMaestro Pletnev. He has captured my ears and senses for decades.

In China, we call him Pu Shen, and I've heard him live in several concerts, both Beethoven and Chopin, both highly personal performances, and my personal favorite pianist!

Thanks so much for uploading this. Pletnev is a true master, understand the humility in music making. In Schumann's eyes, the sincerity comes from the heart of the true performer who can perceive it in music and express it without any superficial sentiment.

A nadie he oído con ese toque que tiene Pletnev. Tiene polvos celestiales en cada dedo. Es el mejor pianista del mundo. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
