    Hi again. I bought a laser printer and I am trying this technique again. A question - is the first clear layer absolutely solid before you place the picture in the second clear layer? If so, how long do you leave it between layers?

    • @Soapfantasy
      @Soapfantasy  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Dianne Bowler: Yes, it's absolutely solid. It hardens during a few minutes, then I pour the second layer.

    love this video, cant wait to try it. I have an hp injet printer all in one printer. will this work or do i need to invest in laser? I heard laser printers get to hot and melt the paper? how much base did you use in your video? What is pigment and where do you buy it? Sorry so many questions but just starting out with mp soap and very excited about it. thanks

    • @Soapfantasy
      @Soapfantasy  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +Elsie Walbrook: I print on laser printer. If you want to print on hp inkjet printer you must use pigment ink.
      The weight of one soap bar is about 100 g
      Pigment is the dye for soap, I bought them in Ukraine but you can buy for example here: www.brambleberry.com
      Sorry for my English :) Good luck :)

      The most common for soap though is not waterslide - it is "Print - Stitch - Dissolve" and that's what it looks like she used. I use waterslide for many projects also but soap.... this other paper is your best.

    • @journeystorm8585
      @journeystorm8585 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      for the waterslide.. the cheapest I found is Ebay and for the "Print - Stitch - Dissolove" you can find at hobby stores.. here I found it at "JoAnne's Fabric Store but it's also pretty cheap on Ebay also verses all the other places I found. If you have an "AC Moore" you can use your 50% Off AC Moore Coupon at JoAnne's and Michael's if AC Moore don't have it and mind did not carry it. On the waterslide...there are different kinds... check out Sunnyscopa...

    Can we use sanitizer in the place of rabing alcohol

    • @Soapfantasy
      @Soapfantasy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. The purity of ethyl alcohol must be at least 96%. The sanitizer probably contains isopropyl alcohol. In addition, the sanitizer contains a lot of glycerin and fragrances.
