*In Pedro Pascal's voice* The tutorial is good, but it can be better. First, use regular UV unwrap, takes some time but it is better (no randomly textured polygons on the mountain). Second, it looks better if you use 2 vertex groups for the snow part, I used deposit with rainmap, the top of the mountain has snow this way, looks way better and more realistic. Happy Blending!
When it doesn't work because of high poly count, pressing "numberpad 7" and "project from view (bounds)" is a good alternative even if it's inaccurate
Hey, so I'm not terribly experienced with this side of blender. What exactly do you mean by using two vertex groups? Like, a group for the rocks and a group for the snow? Am I creating an entirely separate material for said vertex group with it's own nodetree?
this is incredible, literally exactly what i've been trying to do 🙏
Great tutor..... Kindly make all the tools explaining and rendering video
fantastic brother
Great Job!
Thank You Very Much, Bro. Out of the thousands of video in youtube Your video was best and understandable!!
Glad to hear that
Hey, thanks for the tutorial. If it's not too much trouble though, I'm trying to make mountains that look more octagonal, kind of like the Giant's Causeway Natural Preserve.
Do you know if that's possible with the landscape tool?
Dude, it's amazing. Thanks a lot, Bro!
Glad you like it!
where did u get that thing on dropdown
Can you make an detailed video on blender and all of its tools and everything.
I didn't realize you had erosion maps auto generated with that addon
where did you get the textures from
Poly haven or AmbientCG ig
What do you do in the end, so that it has its original texture?
nice tutorial...sir how to open editng menu once closed.?
Great vid Bro thanks!
Can I do this on planetary scale for a "3d like" mountains in a planet?
0:48 you don't actually say how to get the Shader Editor open. I found it eventually but it's empty whereas yours has 2 things in it
Those weight maps don't show up. What do I do? A Python script is popping up and saying that it's an error. :(
I had a similar problem because I had touched the original mesh (by moving or deleting vertices) try again without touching the origninal mesh of the addon.
I hope this can help you
Okay, the color dodge node part of the tutorial results in some really noticeable artifacting up close that neither me nor any friends can find a fix for, not sure if that's the best technique. Other than that, good tutorial.
One question I left in the final part, but how do I make my model return to its original color, it is that it is gray haha, I feel like something is missing
Can you use that for a game engine Godot/Unity etc, I'm searching something good for terrain creation.
Easily after baking textures and normal on decimated mesh for performance.
Top down kaha mita ha
i hope you included the textture, cuz there are people do not know how to add a texture. And anyways great video
If you don't know how to add a texture, I'd recommend learning fundamentals first.
Everytime i press the ctrl, shift,t it doesn't come up with textures and i got uv unwrapping on any advice
You need the node wrangler addon enabled
I have a problem, I am getting a problem when I click the landscape eroder button. Can you help me please?
Python: Traceback (most recent call last):
File "D:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender 3.1\3.1\scripts\addons\ant_landscape\ant_functions.py", line 1062, in execute
ob.vertex_groups.active = vg

I updated the Blender 3.1 to 3.6 and problem is solved@balqiisaabdiwaliadam325
how@balqiisaabdiwaliadam325
I'm having the same problem. Can someone help? :(
What version is your blender?
3.4 You can see version in right bottom part of a screen
Mine textures look so distorted 😭😭
where does one get the textures
Looks like he uses literally any rock material you can get online in cgtextures, quixel etc. He is using a color/albedo roughness and normal map. You don't even need a rock material could use just a regular material with a noise.
how dropdown in this part 0:12 came? i didn't get it
Press "N" for enabling the sidebar (appears on the right of the 3D viewport). Then click on "Create" tab. There all the Landcape settings will appear.
@@shinyfreedom3490 thankyou sir
where can i get the textures?
I always use ambient CG. It's free give it a try
hi are u able to help mew figure out why my texture just for the mountain only shows up as a green or brown solid color
You need to UV unwrap it by selecting the object, going into edit mode and press A to select all then U to unwrap it.
