Hi there. I'm new to your channel but I just want to say you truly are a generous soul and I am extremely grateful for all of the blender knowledge plus assets you provide to help get me going in my blender journey. Thank you again :)
This worked nicely in helping me make a big ol' boulder for my teams game! I also wanted to leave my tip for anyone else who might need it - if your imported textures look weird on the model (like there are patches all over with ugly texture seams), try using a sphere projection for the uv, that smoothed things out for me. (They were a little squished at the very top and botttom of the boulder but it still looks quite nice).
love how simple videos have got the most juice! thanks, Chuck, really helpful and easy. Liked the end, straight up "bye" haha, no subscribe to the channel and all the fluff. I've definitely subscribed, looking for more environment tutorials 👀
When i try to follow along, once I add the cloud texture, it makes the model jaggy rsther than bumpy. Is there a setting I should be using to make it the same way you have it?
A great tutorial! Unfortunately, with the methods used here, I'm unable to export these with their materials over to Unity. Baking the texture wouldn't work as the UVs are overlapping with one another
tried to follow every detail but for some reason mine dont look as good in the end, when i add sky texture for some reason mine is like if i were right next to the sun and in yours same settings looks like fine :c
Is it possible to change the texture input to a material input? I mean in that way I can change for example grassas a Material for later use in 3rd Party Software
sorry I don't undertand, do you want the rock and grass in one texture? you could bake the color textures in blender, we use the Z value as a mask for the grass, I wonder if we can bake that mask to use it for exemple in substance painter.
@@chuckcg I want it be 2 separate materials. So the faces where the grass texture is Set should be one. And the cliff Texture shall be another Material. For example when I Export to unity, i can change only the grass Material, but the cliff will stay Edit. You read the textures in one single Material. I want your geometry node with 2 or more matierals
Thanks for the tutorial. when I set the background to Sky Texture, my viewport background automatically change to a sky dome, but I don't see it in your demo scene. Did you turn it off or hide it?

im afraid in the future if you click on one of those tutorial videos for blender one day, everyone will say "okay, now open...COMFY UI!". Generating takes alot of fun from the process,
cheaper and faster alternative? Nah you don't have to do that. Repeat that 10 times and think about what you said, this tech has only shown up and its going to get better

Simple and to the point! I am gonna try it
Glad to hear it!
Final result looks awesome!
You never fail to surprise me. Great Tut

This has been so useful bro, the assets that you created are so helpful man
I'm Glad to know it!

Amazing, works very well 👏👏👏
Very enjoyable and well explained! No steps overlooked and skipped. Thanks!
Great video, so many useful points. Thank so much!
Amazing I learned so much thank you
Fantastic method! Flexible, efficient and scalable. Thank you for sharing :)
Love your work, really helping my learning for blender dude, keep it going
This was really cool. Thanks!
That's an awesome method to make some lovely rocks! thank you.
Thank yo so much finally
This looks stunning. Thanks!
Nice tut... I've never used the remesh mod before... eye opening. Thanks.
Thanks, yes sometimes remesh is very useful
I needed this, thank you so much!

Simple and just what i needed ! subscribed
amazing tutorial 😄
Great video thank you
What about displacement and bump? Can it be used for this tutorial too?
To use it you need to use cycles experimental, I expleined that in a previous tutorial, but yeah it'd be interesting to give extra little details.
Thanks so much for posting this useful video!
you're welcome, Glad it was helpful!
awesome tutorial, thank you very much
you're welcome!
Thanks. There is a weird resonating bass sound on the audio track btw.
mmm, I don't know, on the full track? I just reduced the noise a little, I'll check it out to find what happend, thanks.
I think its the hard mouse clicks...ig
@@chuckcg its probably when you pick up your mouse and put it down,it sounds like your microphone stands metallic sound as it moves
@@Shorty3D I think I was too close to the mic, I have a pop filter but I don't know
This is great!! :D
OMG just one day ago?!?!?!?!?!?! I'm the luckiest men alive.
really thanks for helping me out
I don't speak English but I understood every step, incredible
That's great!
Muy buenos tus videos!
Que bueno que te sirvieron!
Awesome!!
When i try to follow along, once I add the cloud texture, it makes the model jaggy rsther than bumpy. Is there a setting I should be using to make it the same way you have it?
Try to apply the scale, in object mode press control+A/scale
@chuckcg I'll give that a try thank you.
i'm having the same problem, applying the scale help a bit, but it still jaggy :/
Love your videos man thnx for sharing!
Thank you so much!
Glad it was helpful!
The Displacement doesn't look the same on mine for some reason.
Hi, at 2:53, how do you select a piece from the combined pieces?
Select a Vertex then press L
Awesome!!!!
How would you keep the top flat?
Noob advice, you could sculpt it smooth after
Great Post.
Damnn nice video, im gona use this in my project :D
that's great, hope to see it!
Awesome
Very Cool..!! Thank You for sharing .. Cheers :)

LOL this video so useful
Bravo!
Hi bro tanks from your video I ask that can we make two AI army to fight with each other in blender or not.
Any tips how to create realistic clouds?
I always use images, as background or only the cloud with alpha channel
A great tutorial! Unfortunately, with the methods used here, I'm unable to export these with their materials over to Unity.
Baking the texture wouldn't work as the UVs are overlapping with one another
Just apply the modifiers, and make the uv's manually
tried to follow every detail but for some reason mine dont look as good in the end, when i add sky texture for some reason mine is like if i were right next to the sun and in yours same settings looks like fine :c
Did you change rotation of the sun? If you use sky texture you need to use cycles
bro how can l use that water in my project l download yours but cant see on my blender help please
Are you using cycles? Also you need to use a hdr image for lighting
@@chuckcg yes l am but l cant transfer water blend to my project, l cant see in asset browser 😥

Yes, in render properties under Film enable transparent

Great work , there is a weird sound in the audio I think you keep hitting the mic or something
sorry for that, it was a speaker I forgot to unplug
Nice
What type of software is this?
Blender
My object turns purple on cycles pls help
purple means there's no color texture in the object, or maybe no HDRI
@@chuckcg Im using sky texture
@@chuckcg I have texture nodes setup how is that possible
@@brokeboy8869 I don't know, I just say that purple object means missing color texture, you can search on google to see if you can solve your problem
Great video. I'm just gitting weird vibes from the background sounds when u talk

Merci
you're welcome!
My rocks aren’t displacing like yours are.
