True ball handles with no carrying and travels.

There are a lot of great handles in today's NBA. But I think Isiah was the best low dribbler that I've ever seen. Maybe Pistol could've done it too, but Isiah did it at will in important, competitive games and he used it to actually dribble out of double teams like no one else I've ever seen. Definitely one of the most underrated superstars ever.

Dribble so low, totally CONTROL of the rock AND in that era if legends, he beat them ALL. Bird, magic, bird. Still holds record for most points in an NBA final quarter..25, in bad able against magic and Lakers and people talk jordan flu game. Was 2 time Allstar mvp, when they played hard, on teams with jordan and bird and Dr.j.He's is a legit ALLTIME great. People hate in him now because he was jordan nemesis, and jordan went mainstream money. Jordan fans. Many .. how in him but be was THE MAN in the era of bigs Zeke didn't care about Nike etc. Just ball. Became a coach... pacers. GM, Knicks. President of player association helping negotiate bigger money for players. If jordan is tier 1, zeke is tier 1.5 with magic, bird, Hakeem, etc. He was THAT GREAT.

I grew up watching him playing and he was the reason why I started to play basketball. I always tried to learn his moves and incorporate them into my game. Especially passing style. Once even made a bounce-pass alley up with my friend during the small league game. The way how he controlled the ball was so smooth anf full of fineness. Nowadays players like Curry or Irving maybe might have a more complicated ballhandling tricks but if it comes to style and smootheness they're not even close to IT. My favored player of all time . Thanks Zeke !

Good question. I would actually put Dennis Rodman at the top of the list - he was averaging 16 rebounds a game when the next best rebounder had about 10 a game. He basically gave the Bulls at least six more possessions per game, and he was a god-tier defender. His "intangibles" that don't show up on stat sheets probably added at least a couple more possessions - there's no stat for saving a ball that is headed out of bounds, which Rodman did a lot.
For Isiah, he probably is very underrated - he got on the wrong side of a lot of big-name stars, so he didn't get the compliments other players received.

On the Dream Team, yes, he would have been clearly the most attention-getting star, as he - being both the point guard and the best showman of the group - would have been handling the basketball the majority of the time. I think THAT was really the big worry. But it wasn't like he did NOT deserve that shining moment. And it DID occur to some - who really thought about it - that he would have made that Dream Team show a lot better. It's like the recording artist Prince. All by himself, he had the solo talent to play EVERY instrument of a band playable alone, but there was just NO WAY he could FRONT a band onstage and sell an album like Michael Jackson could. It just wasn't his place to do that.

Isiah is 2nd greatest Point guard after Earvin.Had Isiah Thomas been 6 6in or so,he could have been the greatest to ever played. He was much more skillful than jordan but you can't replace the size , athletism and tremendous mid range game of Michael.

The greatest dribbler I have seen from the 80s on.Palming and carrying was not allowed until Jordan did it but looked good doing it because it allowed him to complete the move and take off in the air for the dunk.Since fans wanted Air Jordan to fly the league let go of the palming and carrying rules.Instead of putting your hands on top of the ball now you were allowed to put you hand on the side of the ball to make your moves and do side to side crossovers.I would not call it evolution it was more like a rule change.Hence, the birth of the new generations of crossovers like AI,Kobe and other greats.

Whoever put this video together...Bruh, if you understood basketball...you would understand that #7 is not only the top crossover in this video...but one of the greatest crossover moves in the history of basketball
1 - It's a DOUBLE CROSSOVER: TWO crossovers in ONE SINGLE move! 🏀🏀 (I've only seen it done twice in NBA history..the other by Jay Williams in his lone year in the league on Derek Fischer in Los Angeles)
2 -And it's off of a BETWEEN THE LEGS crossover dribble.. the move patented by my childhood best friend: Tim Hardaway, Sr. ...except Isiah crossed it back over!
THREE CROSSOVER MOVES off 3 dribbles: between the legs cross...crossover dribble-1, crossover dribble-2....Finger Roll over a 7'1" Center 💣

The problem for John Stockton is he played for stats instead of victory. Even if he has more tecnique, Isiah Thomas play better basketball.

There's no other player in the history of the NBA that could have accomplished what he accomplished while dominating his opponents...put Jordan, Magic, Bird, Hakeem, Duncan, Kareem, Wilt, Moses Malone, Dr. J., Bill Walton, or any franchise player at 6'1" 180lb. and those guys would NOT have the ability, skills, intelligence, or perseverance to dominate opponents just as good or better at that size with the actual NBA being against their success -- that's what Isiah Thomas was fighting and doing while winning and dominating...he was politically ousted out of two titles, 1988 and 1991, both were taken away from him due to the NBA promoting its stars who were ultimately defeated by Isiah Lord Thomas III.

Isiah is arguably the greatest point guard ever imo but he was surrounded with great players. Those bad boys I think is a top 4 team of all time

@@bballvault Everybody built through the draft and free agency: Celtics, Lakers, Sixers, and Pistons -- those were the champions in the 80's... all those guys were not automatic HOF players, they developed into 'greatness' in fulfilling their potential. Jordan was just an all-time great talent/weapon who could score a lot and dazzle the eye but the Bulls' organization had to get the right personnel around #23 because of Jordan's mentality and personality -- it's one thing with talent but Jerry Krause knew you had to get 'beta-male' personalities around Jordan or guys who were NEVER going to be considered 'as good' or complimentary to Jordan because Jordan viewed anyone good at something who could compete with him as a threat...this is why they traded Oakley, an alpha personality for Cartwright and made sure they got Pippen for Olden Polynice, an alpha personality.... You see? So the Bulls without #23 were a lotto team because all they had were guys who could do basic things: pass, make open shots, rebound, be in the right place on the court -- that's all Jordan needed was for those guys to do those things well and consistently in the '91-'93 teams but the league had to step in to make sure Jordan won in '91 by making certain the Pistons were eliminated:
You listed how great the players were with the Pistons in Isiah's supporting cast, well look at 1989-1993, Pistons GM, Jack McCloskey got rid of Rick Mahorn in '89; Vinnie Johnson and James Edwards in '91 and John Salley in '92 so from 1989-93 the Pistons got rid of 4 of their guys in their 9 man rotation of the 1989 team...making it easier for Jordan to win back-to-back in '91-92 and then 3-peat. Remember, Mahorn retired in 1996-97; James Edwards retired in 1995-96 and was getting solid minutes to deal with guys like Mourning and Shaq in the East and Salley retired in 2000 while Edwards/Salley/Rodman were on the 1995-96 Bulls making them the greatest Bulls' team of all-time with 3 Detroit Pistons on a Jordan-led team, showing you Jordan needed, 'The Bad Boys' to win -- first to open the door in '91 and then for the Pistons' organization to waive Vinnie Johnson/Edwards and getting rid of key personnel and then Edwards, Salley, and Rodman helping Jordan win in '95-'96 while Rodman enabling Jordan's success from '95-'98. Remember, Rodman came off the bench for the 1989 Pistons.
You have to ask why the Pistons had to dismantle that team, Jordan would have never won had those guys kept their team together and remember, everyone built their teams the same way, the Pistons were just good at it and Isiah helped build that Pistons' team. Thomas was the one who vouched for keeping Daly and the one who made sure they got rid of Dantley for Aguirre but McCloskey broke the entire thing up and that was to help Jordan win...chances are it was out of his control but this is why you saw the Pistons let Chicago win in the 1991 ECF and then walked-off.

Nah. Because the nba that kyrie plays in changed the rules to allow palming the ball, carrying the ball and damn near 3.5 steps to finish at the rim.
