Younger people of today think there were only a handful of great players in the 80's and 90's. There were so many great ones that you've never heard of. I'm glad you got to see Tommy C. He was a great player. Don't know why he's not in the Hall
Tom Chambers is amazing, and I only heard of him 2 weeks ago. By him being 240 pounds, I guess he went through and up and over guys until they learned to get out of his way. I'm a new sub much love to you and the channel.
Nice react. If you like Tom Chambers, then check out the "Secretary of Defense" Bobby Jones. And also , before he had injuries, Arvydas Sabonis. When Sabonis was young, he destroyed David Robinson, NBA MVP, in the world championships and also when Russia crushed the US in the 1988 Olympics.
Tom Chambers was a superstar in his day. A great dunker with good handles. I remember him mostly with the Suns...not in Larry's league...and not quite the star Bill Walton was...I think as his career was wanning and his production was done, that might have overshadowed his early days. But, a fun player...especially if you like dunkers. 😄
@@dwightlove3704 Tom was good...but definitely not up to Larry's skill set. I enjoyed watching them both play. But to say Tom is equal....is saying Tom Chambers is a top 3 player of all time. Not sure you'd get too many takers on that. Tgif 😊
@@rustydaboyrobot Bird had a huge hype machine to follow him coming out of Indiana St give that same type attention to Chambers and he would have been just as popular.
@@dwightlove3704 Popularity. .sure. The REASON Larry was so popular was that he took a midMajor to a 33-0 record....with decent players, sure.. but most likely a 14 and under win team without Larry. THEN, Larry took the basement dwelling Celtics from 29 wins to 61 wins. As a rookie. So yes, Larry was more popular from the onset...because he was phenomenal...from the onset. Skill set.. not so sure. Like I said, Tom was an awesome player. Just not. Legendary.
Everyone in the Larry Bird fanbase acts as if he was the only WHITE GUY who played in the NBA in the '80s this guy was schooling ppl in the Western Conference on a daily basis.

@@StrikeReacts Imagine if he played in Utah with John Stockton they would have been a scaled down version of Showtime.
Bill Box check out a dunk Chambers did on the ENTIRE FRONTCOURT OF BOSTON while he was in Phoenix.
@@dwightlove3704 Thank you Dwight, I will.
@@billbox1916 I loved watching white guys who have athleticism and Chambers shoots down the idea that White men can't jump!!!!
Big Jumper ! His head almost
hit the rim on his dunks !
great hops to almost hit the rim with your head!
The only player in history to retire with 20 000 points not in the hall of fame
That is just insane why wasn't he in the HOF
Had Tom Chambers played for the Lakers, Dallas, NY, or Chicago, everyone would know about him.
Hall of Fame NOW!
hey is? he was really good
Tom Chambers belongs in the NBA HOF.
Chambers would slay in today's league.
he seemed very underated
Tom Chambers! ... Boulder Colorado Fairview High '77... University of Utah '81... He Would Dunk Over ANYBODY!

Chambers was slept on when it came to his ability to pass the ball.
The dunk on the frontcourt of Boston its my personal favorite it should have gotten more media attention.
