Think of an athletic Larry Bird. That would be Tom Chambers. However, Bird was a much better passer, rebounder, defender, scorer, leader, and champion. The only thing Chamber did better than Bird was dunking the ball. However, I take nothing away from Chambers, In my opinion he deserves to be in the Hall Of Fame. He was a genetic freak with an incredibly strong lower body which gave him superior leaping ability.

Don't know why people want to compare him to Bird outside of the fact both guys were white. Chambers was more of a slasher type who had a pretty respectable outside shot as well. It's no insult to say he wasn't as great as Bird because Bird was the most skilled player to ever step on a court. I'm not saying he was better than Jordan, Kobe, etc but he was a flawless player from a skills standpoint. If Bird had Jordan's athletic ability teams would have to forfeit. 😂
Look at NBA Legend Bobby Jones...with him and Chambers , Pistol Pete , Mark Price and C Mark Eaton you probably have the All-Time under rated team...Bobby took over 30 years to be inducted to HOF...Chambers only players to score 20,000+ points NOT in the HOF...Mark Price was a 50-40-90 guy Eaton a shot Blocker as good as any...and Pete just seems forgotten even though he was playing todays game in the '70s
Chambers is kinda forgotten about because he played on the west coast and on very bad teams during the start of his career. The NBA wasn’t on tv as much during that time and us on the east coast rarely seen him in action. By the time he did join the Suns he was on a team stacked with other exciting and great players like Kevin Johnson, Jeff Hornacek, thunder Dan, Dumas and Ceballos, then came Charles Barkley.
