- I saw this Breakfast advertised on Facebook and must admit ive never seen one like it ( And Never Seen One This Expensive ) so i headed down to Durham City to give it a go .

A bit different for a full English, thats what makes this vlog great. Its nice to see how establishment's put their own touch on a traditional breakfast.

Hi Kev, That was one posh breakfast!. Gosh that place has changed from the old student haunt it used to be when it was the New Inn. Don't think many students will be partaking in that breakfast.
Looks delicious a bit of everything and the vine tomatoes are the best , looks tasty and the venue looks awesome my type of place to eat bet dinner will be great there

I like the sound of a herb crusted mushroom and the breakfast looked really nice, although never had a house brick before but I want one! One thing I do not want is the price - yikes! Too much for a poor OAP like me, cheers Alan

Watcher Kevin, discarding the weather, what a fabulous looking restaurant. You were right about us thinking the baked beans were a tadge pale. However, it's the taste. You seemed happy enough. Now to be honest thought you had only one rasher of bacon. The coffee marinated item looked more like a belly pork slice. (have seen a few breakfasts with pork belly lately 🐷🤔) Being a traditional type of guy, can I have a round sausage. Again it's taste. And again, you seemed to enjoy it. The disguised mushroom, looked like a bubble & Squeak patty. Cherry Tomatoes, always accepted. Potato Brick Brilliant. Fried egg looked spot on. Am not a fan of Sourdough, choice could be offered 🤔🍞🥖Noted, no beverage on show. My personal opinion. Tea or Coffee should be included. Maybe it's because I live in London,don't find the price to high. Personally I want to say. Well done to the owners for creating local jobs, more people like this needed. And for the high standards you have shown us. Cheers Allan&Family

Haven't been in since it was The New Inn but that definitely looked a decent, slightly different, breakfast. Aimed, I suppose, at the more well-off Durham students and parents at weekends.

That is not expensive, Kevin, standard price down here for a very similar looking brekkie, with a bit more than your plate! This looked like a regular for us, perhaps we do breakfast better but charge for it!
Obviously top quality grub but too many flavours, herbs etc for my liking.Good review 👍.
