I just find that particularly interesting given that Colins influenced a game about monkeys in the jungle, and then later did the soundtrack to Tarzan. Like, I guess Didney heard the same feel that Wise did. Maybe because his music is (naturally) really percussive and drums give off a tribal sort of vibe? idk, just a very unique and EXTREMELY SPECIFIC coincidence to me.

1:15:26 My best guess is that the music is on the same channel as the sound effects so the melody has to work around the pitch of the sound effects. Kind of like how in Red and Blue Version, Pokémon cries would get really janky if the were sent out during the low health noise because they shared a channel.
11:30 The delay might be caused by the analog-to-digital conversion, because that console sure as shit doesn't look like it's giving you a clean HDMI output.
37:33 Never thought I would see a bootleg version of Rocket Mania. Anyway the way that most of the games have a black background and really awful or no music is prime creepypasta material.
This is probably the most fascinating Plug N Play ever seen on this series just because of the high resolution graphical and sound replacements superimposed on top of NES games. I'm honestly just curious how it works.
I swear I might be crazy, but during the not Chip and Dale game at the beginning, the music is a sped up MIDI of the Lego Island Elevator song. I played a ton of Lego Island as a kid and spent a lot of time in the elevator cause I thought you could access the 2nd floor. So that music is burnt into my head!
1:25:19 - This is literally a sped up version of a part of Fable by Robert Miles. The only reason I know this is because a Touhou video used it as music once.
20:44 Someone please tell me what the song in "Break the Bricks" is. EDIT: Nevermind. Someone else already found it. It's You're my Love (My Life) by Patty Ryan.

As an autist going into this video I am chuckling nervously like a Simpsons character on a runaway bus reading these comments. Update: 23 minutes in and ball matcher is pain.
6:30 - it’s not a Mario clone, they’ve obviously taken “Chip and Dale: Rescue Rangers” from the NES and swapped in some different graphics and sound effects. The physics for movement/throwing etc are the exact same and anybody who’d played the original would recognize that level layout.
1:25:29 Wait WTF, that's a sped up sample of Fable by Robert Miles in the background?! That's a bit random. Makes me wonder where the other potato PCM samples were taken from.
26:40 Vinny is startled by the sound of every child unfortunate enough to be raised on this instead of real video games all sharting out their intelligence at once.
The more I watch of this, the more depressed I feel. Imagine being the kid who got this instead of real games and grew up thinking this is what video games are.
That game Vinny is playing at 6:12 is literally just a semi-reskinned "Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers" for the NES. The level is the first level in the game.
There are a series of NES-on-a-chips with enhanced graphics and sound capabilities. They're called the VTxx and VTxxx series. Depending on the version, they can have the ability to display more colors and higher resolutions than an NES, along with audio samples. Despite this, they have the same CPU as an NES and are usually backwards compatible. Given the existence of these enhanced chips, and how close the gameplay in some of the games is to NES games, it's possible that these are enhanced ROM hacks of NES games. But like Vinny, I would like to know for sure how this works internally. Where's Frank Cifaldi when you need him?
Woah dude, this whole thing is a vaporwave lovers wet dream! And it came out even years before vapor stuff became a big thing on the internet, I'm impressed!
Not even TF 2 and CS:GO haVE as many reskins as this atrocity. I could recognize almost every single game from somewhere else. Also, let it be known that Vinny is seemingly more inclined to shoot babies than ducks.
Apparently we're in a Plug 'n Plague renaissance with how many Plug 'n Plagues Vinny has played recently. And hey, I'm not complaining, I like when Vinny does Plug 'n Plague.
7:58 that music is probably stolen from somewhere. It sounds really familiar. 42:47 the sound effect sort of sounds like someone saying "run." 50:39 isn't that from Baba O'Riley? 1:00:35 I love that the lives counter can't handle numbers higher than 9, so it becomes ■0

1:15:26 My best guess is that the music is on the same channel as the sound effects so the melody has to work around the pitch of the sound effects. Kind of like how in Red and Blue Version, Pokémon cries would get really janky if the were sent out during the low health noise because they shared a channel.
It'll keep returning so long as chat believes and finds more of these things to consume and play
That menu music is beautifully 80's in it's sound! Like straight off a VHS.
12:25
11:30 The delay might be caused by the analog-to-digital conversion, because that console sure as shit doesn't look like it's giving you a clean HDMI output.
1:24:15 has the same music used in the “Pokémon 2” bootleg ass game that made Vinny scream, just sped up. Look up “Vinny says Pokémon 2 and screams”
23:48 this song is kind of a banger ngl, sounds like a really bad daft punk song
it's one of the songs from FlashKit.
yeah, belter, that one. sounds like 2000s minimal house.
37:33 Never thought I would see a bootleg version of Rocket Mania.
Anyway the way that most of the games have a black background and really awful or no music is prime creepypasta material.
1:06:11 I was not ready for the McDonald's CD circus music
This is probably the most fascinating Plug N Play ever seen on this series just because of the high resolution graphical and sound replacements superimposed on top of NES games. I'm honestly just curious how it works.
as an audio nut, this is my favourite system.
28:08 I'm so glad that shitty little orchestral sting makes Vinny laugh as much as I do, it's so puny
It is, I noticed the same thing
Plug and Plague is a hell of a drug
The music loops in this plug and play are glorious. Im dying
It's a hell of a drug, but the weird kind like that flesh eating drug from Russia
@@silverhand9965yeah you right. It's like if you listen or watch for too long, the plug and plague can transmit some deadly virus to you
1:25:19 - This is literally a sped up version of a part of Fable by Robert Miles. The only reason I know this is because a Touhou video used it as music once.
20:44 Someone please tell me what the song in "Break the Bricks" is.
EDIT: Nevermind. Someone else already found it. It's You're my Love (My Life) by Patty Ryan.
6:09 Had to do a double take to be sure I really just saw the wild boar enemy from maple story.
Oh wow, the game at 18:14 is a reskin of "Zeek the Geek" an ancient Windows 3.1 puzzle game.
The menu music! I thought for sure Vin would catch it. It's full on 80s Phil Collins. Literally. Just transposed down. th-cam.com/video/sRY1NG1P_kw/w-d-xo.html
The title screen music gives me a “purgatory waiting room” like vibe. Similar to that Disney trivia game music that people were “scared” of.
what disney game? :0
I always watch this before I go to sleep. The absolute auditory and visual chaos makes my brain tired in 10 minutes at most.
6:45 isn't that stolen Lego Island music when you're in the elevator of the information center?
I'm autistic, and with my sensory sensitivities, the horrible auditory chaos of the music on this thing was super *painful* and anxiety-inducing for me lol... but it's just so hilariously jank that I can't help but have a fun time watching anyway haha!
I tought i was just too high but i guess i'm autistic too because this was a fucking nightmare to watch lol.
As an autist going into this video I am chuckling nervously like a Simpsons character on a runaway bus reading these comments.
Update: 23 minutes in and ball matcher is pain.
I’m autistic as well and it depends on the sounds and how loud it is. Watching this live was like nails on a chalkboard lmao
I’m not it just is painful and anxiety inducing
Trust me, it's not because something's wrong with us. Everyone feels the same.
The main menu song from the plug and play you hear starting at 0:10 I swear to god sounds like Phil Collin’s “Take Me Home”.
do you think if you take all of the 1 second sound loops of these games, someone could string them together into one coherent song?
Idk why but I like the music in Sword Combat
1:26:58 and 1:27:17
Too bad the loop is short
I swear at this point Vinny just does Mr. Dink bits for the express purpose of getting animated.
50:55 this song is intense. wtf is it sampling?
I want to know this also. That game as a whole was viscerally disquieting.
I just realized that most of the music comes from Macromedia's Developer Pack.
Can I listen to this anywhere online?
@@zehn39 Sure!
26:40
Vinny is startled by the sound of every child unfortunate enough to be raised on this instead of real video games all sharting out their intelligence at once.
01:33:21 And now, Ladies and Gentelmen, TwinBee (by Konami)
The more I watch of this, the more depressed I feel. Imagine being the kid who got this instead of real games and grew up thinking this is what video games are.
12:05 banger 🔥🔥🔥
That game Vinny is playing at 6:12 is literally just a semi-reskinned "Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers" for the NES. The level is the first level in the game.
I know some analog horror creators that would pay thousands to be able to recreate those graphics
Oh they could never, I'm sure if someone is willing to do an analog horror of plug n play, it'll be just lazy & not scary.
Ah yes, Pacman’s canon brother, Bean eater 🫘
6:00 That's the goddamn chip and dale NES game but jankily remade.
That's ALL THE GAMES ON THIS CONSOLE.
It's not remade, they just got the same code and put it in here.
@@gmestanley2214 they're actually rom hacks
I really enjoy the music from all the games for some reason, even if they're all feel like they're making my brain bleed
26:40 why is the buzzer radio station here lmao
UVB-76 has been immortalized
I don't know why I LOVE the audio in plug and plague and keep coming back to it.
All of these feel like the start to a jebait horror game.
i swear the startup music is the same song that my dr office plays when they're on hold.
Woah dude, this whole thing is a vaporwave lovers wet dream! And it came out even years before vapor stuff became a big thing on the internet, I'm impressed!
32:29 that sound effect sounds like the warioware microgame ticking bomb
that's also that one escape sfx from wario land 4, pt and antonblast
Not even TF 2 and CS:GO haVE as many reskins as this atrocity. I could recognize almost every single game from somewhere else.
Also, let it be known that Vinny is seemingly more inclined to shoot babies than ducks.
21:40 tpot intro
i like how vinny refers to the timer as "fast seconds"
Apparently we're in a Plug 'n Plague renaissance with how many Plug 'n Plagues Vinny has played recently. And hey, I'm not complaining, I like when Vinny does Plug 'n Plague.
7:58 that music is probably stolen from somewhere. It sounds really familiar.
42:47 the sound effect sort of sounds like someone saying "run."
50:39 isn't that from Baba O'Riley?
1:00:35 I love that the lives counter can't handle numbers higher than 9, so it becomes ■0
