Thanks for the info on Beauty Counter product! FYI - the Milk Makeup Blue Liquid foundation scores a 4 on EWG, which is not too clean. They list fragrance as well as a few other ingredients as not being good for allergies & immunotoxicity.

OMG, I love this video, have been looking forever for clean foundations that are a reasonable cost, I too had tried Beauty Counter however the cost kept me away from repurchase, thank you for this video. I have subscribed looking forward to great videos in future.
I’ve been using this technique and it’s been working! ❤️ I only put foundation on my cheeks where I get red I use tinted moisturizer everywhere else. And I have oily skin so it doesn’t matter if you have oily skin those fine lines are gonna show. And those areas have to be super hydrated with lightweight products . This is the best technique so far.. The way I keep my makeup on all day having oily skin and textured skin and aging skin is by putting a layer of your favorite setting spray before you put on any make up products. Let it dry completely and then start putting on your make up products. Massaging my face has worked wonders it’s lessened my Mariannette lines, and my nasal label folds dramatically. Glad I found your channel. I'm going to look more into the clean beauty idea cause I have had endocrine problems all my life. I'm 50 I wear bare minerals very lightly and it suits me but lately I find my skin craves moisture. I have used that Maybelline BB cream and it is a good pick. Been toying with the idea of possible usage of a primer until you mentioned high toxicity on silicones. I have never found any Ordinary products in my area. You are very beautiful and do not look 53 at all.😊

So many other influencers share great products but they're not clean and so many of them have had medical procedures. Whereas you are so authentic and I love that! I could easily see myself sitting down with you for coffee and talk about clean beauty. Would you be able to share the EWG link results for the Maybelline BB cream? I was surprised that it got a 2 rating. I looked and it shows 4 and 8 depending on the shade, but maybe I am not looking at the right one or the same one you're using. I really like the BeautyCounter concealer and wanted to try their foundation but the biggest negative for me with this brand is that it's catered more to caucasian women with fair and yellow skin tones. I can relate to large pores. I'm sure my pores can be seen from space they are so huge. Makes me very self concious but never found a treatment, primer, or foundation that would hide them.

What about titanium dioxide? It’s soooo hard to find things that don’t have that in it. It’s completely banned in Europe but we still use it a lot here. Think dirty app doesn’t flag it but when I google, it’s a possible carcinogen when inhaled. But I feel like if it’s dangerous when inhaled I probably don’t want it sticking to my skin either…..? Thoughts? This beauty counter one is the only one that doesn’t have it so I’m hoping to try it.

Hi Chris! I used Face and Body for years and used it n my kit. I haven’t checked their ingredients but MAC usually scores high on many ingredients that are linked to health issues. That said, by all means, use up what you have. Don’t throw away good product you’ve spent hard earned money on!
Those are American products, right? I’m from Australia, and I’ve used this “clean” foundation called “Raw” - looks totally amazing on my skin. I am ethnic background so my skin is slightly oily, but I also use this skin care called Rationale - essential 6. Again, absolutely amazing product. Pricy, but so worth it.

I was excited about the Maybelline BB cream but when I checked the ingredients on EWG, it came up as a 5 rating, which I don't consider clean. I will go up to 3 rating max on the EWG website. This is the issue as the clean products are rarely clean as well as effective. Btw, Neutrogena is rated 9. I do like your video. TY.
So glad I found you! I’m trying to reduce toxins due to chronic illness. Makeup is my next area to clean up. What would you say is the best long wear option? I used to love double wear by Estée Lauder because it lasted all day.. but not so good for older skin and sitting in the lines now days. I do like more skin like finish and dewy.. but they don’t usually last. Off to see if you’ve reviewed setting sprays!

Hi! our pores are pretty much genetic so we can’t reduce pore size but we can reduce the appearance of pore size via exfoliation and using mattifying primers and matte formulas of makeup over that! You can even set it all with a matte setting spray. If you start to get shiny or pores become more noticeable, just take a blot sheet to lift off shine, shine on pores causes them to look larger!

I don’t think you can call this clean make up and then throw in Neutrogena which is made by Johnson and Johnson which has no problem with putting formaldehyde in baby shampoo. Please make sure that you’re sharing nontoxic make up even for a special occasion.
Great video! What color are you in Beautycounter? I am very fair and I have a hard time finding foundation that matches my skin. I'm cool and very pale. If I go too light, I look like a ghost. If I go to dark, you definitely can see the line of color change. Thanks for you help!
I haven’t used foundation since I was a teen. I think back then I had breakouts which I thought was acne but now thinking back it was probably an allergic reaction. 🤦🏼♀️
There are tons of over 40 and over 50 people that use the ordinary. It has some amazing products. There’s even dermatologist on TH-cam that recommend it. I really hope you find him stuff you like when you do the research.
How do I order I’m 67 and my skin is so dry especially around my lips I have fine lines and have pronounced lines around my jowls I don’t know if I’m saying that right .
It would be really great if you would include links to the drugstore products you mention as it's very difficult to see the full descriptions of them in the video itself, making it difficult to know what to search for on EWG. For example, I searched EWG for the Maybelline BB cream you mentioned and couldn't find one listed as a 2. One version was 3; another was 8; and yet another was a 4.

I am concerned with what you consider “clean”. Both Beauty Counter and The Ordinary have silicone (Dimethicone) in them. Silicones are not good for your skin at all.

Yes, clean ingredients can help improve health! Over time. Bare Minerals is great! So is Beautycounter, Rare Beauty, MOB Beauty, and so many others!

I have pores, lord of textures (deep wrinkles), rosacea, sun spots, sun damage, super dry skin…I’m a mess and am 46. I used to use Bare minerals but it caused irritation and accentuated all those lines and made my skin even dryer. So I’m now searching for organic foundation and came across your channel. What would you recommend for me?
I like to use a foundation as a concealer just where I need it which is on my dark circles under my eyes, on my eye lids and around my nose and on my chin. I am 57 and at my age, less is best!

Hi! our pores are pretty much genetic so we can’t reduce pore size but we can reduce the appearance of pore size via exfoliation and using mattifying primers and matte formulas of makeup over that! You can even set it all with a matte setting spray. If you start to get shiny or pores become more noticeable, just take a blot sheet to lift off shine, shine on pores causes them to look larger!

I don’t think you can call this clean make up and then throw in Neutrogena which is made by Johnson and Johnson which has no problem with putting formaldehyde in baby shampoo. Please make sure that you’re sharing nontoxic make up even for a special occasion.

Great video! What color are you in Beautycounter? I am very fair and I have a hard time finding foundation that matches my skin. I'm cool and very pale. If I go too light, I look like a ghost. If I go to dark, you definitely can see the line of color change. Thanks for you help!

I haven’t used foundation since I was a teen. I think back then I had breakouts which I thought was acne but now thinking back it was probably an allergic reaction. 🤦🏼♀️
Very possible but teen skin and hormones are hard to gage by.
There are tons of over 40 and over 50 people that use the ordinary. It has some amazing products. There’s even dermatologist on TH-cam that recommend it. I really hope you find him stuff you like when you do the research.

It would be really great if you would include links to the drugstore products you mention as it's very difficult to see the full descriptions of them in the video itself, making it difficult to know what to search for on EWG. For example, I searched EWG for the Maybelline BB cream you mentioned and couldn't find one listed as a 2. One version was 3; another was 8; and yet another was a 4.

I am concerned with what you consider “clean”. Both Beauty Counter and The Ordinary have silicone (Dimethicone) in them. Silicones are not good for your skin at all.

Can you name top foundations that you don’t need to mix with a BB cream
I think mature skin looks more youthful when you use a tinted or BB and then just spot the foundation where needed
