I tried to rob a station, dropped their cargo and picked them up with drones and an XL Freighter, disabled Security Ships and Turrets, still, Turrets opened fire on me, despite the countdown saying it's deactivated for 9 more minutes. As soon as my first drone loads cargo, the station turns hostile and opens fire on me
I will change my part time job eating asteroid and crystal after this video.😂

Great Video. Will have to try it to remove the scale plate stations from my sector. One of the stations has a good defence and 2 Destroyed won’t do the trick.

Decent. I am left with a couple questions though.
What is the duration of a hack? I assume they are not permanent. So how long does a hack last for, and are the durations different for each of the 8 hackable catagories?
5.0 has added timers to the panels now, most hacks will last 5 hours

I just tried to hack a turret control panel but the Teladi has locked Public Access to Security office with a game bug.
that is an annoying bug when he panel is inaccessible. Sometimes leaving the sector and coming back will fix it, otherwise I need to restart the game.

I didn't get any reputation loss from hacking. In the video the the station became hostile because I destroyed one of their turrets. I've read that looting cargo dropped from storage will cause reputation loss, but that hasn't happened to me so might have been patched
I think you get a lose if you pick up the dropped container. I read if you also deactivate security it won’t cause you any lose. Never tried it so far.
how long do hacks last?
the consensus is 5 hours, but there isn't a notification when they expire so its based on what the community has experienced. Wish Egosoft would put a timer on it
By hacking the trading terminal, are the price drop just for you, or for everyone in the universe?
And how long does the new lowered hacked prices last ? (I am trying not to play cheaty, but actually play the actual mechanics, if you know what I mean. :)
the price drop is just for you and your ships and I believe it will last 5 hours

I read somewhere that hacking a station can somehow make it not aggressive to you when you steal its blueprints with an emp... do you know which module this would be?
EMPs won't make the station become hostile, but the EMP does have a blast radius so be careful you don't hit a civilian or police ship
This seems to have been changed sometime in the last year since I last played. It used to aggro the station right away, which was a pain for EMP hacking before you got Teleport.
it seems now that detonating an EMP is treated the same way as 'accidentally' shooting at the station is. one or two 'hits' will get you a warning, continuing will turn it hostile. Also affected by faction rep as high rep makes them more forgiving.
for best results, emp only a single module at a station, preferably one from a faction you have high rep with.
Is it possible to hack blue prints?

Is hacking permanent?
No, it will only last at most 5 hours. With the 5.00 update it will now tell you how long it will last
