    Love your content mate!
    I loved the game but it's a bit overwhelming.If not for your videos I would've given up. Just won my first race with the mercedes. It was tough, they are not with the same pace as the RB or the Ferrari's. Good stuff.

    Is Research = Design for the next season? So if I Research a Suspension and a Rear Wing, are these two parts designed and ready for use in the next season or do I still have to design them?

      Even if you do no research you end up with a car for next season.
      Research is there to improve the car you end up with.

    Does it help if you do this multiple times on the same area?

    • @pitlanes

      Yes. The more you do, the better.

    i dont know if i agree with this, i find maxing out all three gives a greater overall total.

    • @pitlanes
      @pitlanes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sure, if you move to the right, it increases them all.
      But if you move some to the left a bit, the ones you move to the right gain more improvement.
      It's like you get a set amount of improvement....moving all to the right, yes, will improve all of them. Moving some to the left allows more improvement to the right.
      I literally show it in the video.

      @@pitlanes yeah i'll have to look again, but usually when im doing it for example, if i move all to right, they all get an improvement of lets say 7 each, for 21 total, moving the focus bar your way in my games i'd get a 11-3-3, for a 17 total. It just may be due to the fact i get so much less mau and wind tunnel hours. But i will look again at your scores to see if you get the same thing i usually see.

      @@pitlanes i genuinely think its better to move the three corner speeds to the right. when you moved the high speed to the middle. your overall low speed score stayed the same(2616) yes the research benefit went up, but the high speed lost a lot more(49030 to 4926). I'd rather have the aggregate scores higher. But i could well be wrong in that the research score is more important than the car improvement number.

      @@1002l What you're describing is your perogative as a manager. That's very literally the game.
      I'm simply explaining how one can target research to combat losses from technical regulation changes. Which this method does. If you, as a magaer within the game, decide you prefer a balanced, non-targetted approach, that's up to you. That's the game.
      I'm targetting low speed downforce loss - this is how to do it. That's all. This isn't intended to be a balanced approach because the regulation change hits low speed most.

    But if next seasons car is gonna be significantly slower then competitors because engine cooling is the regulations they’ve changed should I still focus on regulations or speed ?

    Do i need to research every car piece or just the ones that have regulation changes??

    • @pitlanes
      @pitlanes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do as you wish. But logically you need to research those areas most effected.

  • @Pappiiii
    @Pappiiii 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    does research effect the new car or do yo ustill have to develop the part?
    I did tons of research during my second year and i thought... wow you will blow evceryone away the third season
    And my car was last at the beginning of the new season... so i didnt understand...

    • @pitlanes
      @pitlanes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      well it depends on what the regulation changes were and what it was that you researched.

    • @Astristul
      @Astristul 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You need to design, what you've researched the previous season, on the 1st of January. So make sure you have 20 engineers that can work at 4 projects in the same time. And money, of course. 🙂

  • @Warlord85
    @Warlord85 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    i think, you misunderstand the research. Putting more ressource in the Tab, where you only gonna lose 10%, will bring you more "power" at the end. because you are not "wasting" 30% of your research power, you only "waste" 10%. in your case, i would fully focus on High Speed Downforce.
    I understand your intention to recoup the 30% loss, but I think pushing the point that has been least regulated will do you more good.
    At least that's how I understand the research. the video is now a few days old. if you have gained new experiences, please let me know

    • @pitlanes
      @pitlanes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No misunderstanding. Following this method I jumped from being 17th on the grid to both titles the next season. Easily. With 5 races to go.
