The Plastic Waste Management Rules that came in 2016 and the latest update was released on 16th February 2022 and these rules may be called the Plastic Waste Management (Amendment) Rules, 2022, are now applicable to all PIBOs of plastics , not just FMCG Cos. The EPR web portal of CPCB is functional and companies are registering and incorporating their action plans for complying to the PWM2022.
