Jack White is so incredibly creative and original. I love how he explains his thought process. He's a very interesting person...I could listen to him talk about music all day. "you could go have a bite and still be hearing that one" hahaha. long live Tap!
Paul Callaway I’ll assume you’re being humorous. There are many, many professional musicians around the world who have talent equivalent to or greater than that of Jack White. I absolutely guarantee you that Jack would agree.
Thank God for Jack White. He is the last TRUE rock star. I love everything about this guy. Please continue to save us all, Jack. You are a soul brother.
+JunkTapes I would say that josh homme or pete doherty beats out jack white as the last true rockstar, there's nothing really rockstar about jack white, he's just a great musician.
+Miyuki TR I think he mentioned going to a Montessori school as a kid, that type of education is all about creativity and I am pretty sure it contributed alot to how he is now...
this is really cool. It's also interesting that he's got a whole different persona as a drummer than he did during his interviews, etc as Jack White, Band Leader
One would hope that 2 maybe 3 or so hundred years from now Jack White will be looked upon in the same light as we currently hold Beethoven and Vivaldi and the likes in . Modern day musical genius who deserves legend status. NUFF SAID
This video melts my brain into mush every time I see it, it’s hard for me to breathe without a reminder, this guys over here reinventing a drum kit like never before while it’s like his 5th best talent
THIS IS AWESOME! I'm an amateur drummer finding her way in this fun game of music. I bought a kit last year (7/26/14 to be exact) and practiced EVERYDAY til this very day and aint NO WHERE NEAR DONE! I'm having a blast learning, but at the same time taking it very seriously! The GROOVE is the ALMIGHTY and must be respected. Jack you got FOHNNNKEEEEE(funky) on "I feel love (every million miles)!" I smelled you through the speakers, that was great!!! I don't know all of your music, I'm still going through your catalog and finding all this cool stuff and bumpin songs that came out years ago like it's brand new! Thanks for this, you all ROCK!!
Jack will always be one of the greatest and most talented people I have had the pleasure of meeting. He truly is such a versatile artist and the level of success he has is due to his ability to adapt and overcome change and to learn quickly. He plays SO many instruments and is just an incredible talented man
Respect! Jack is an incredible musician who can do anything he puts his mind to. His drumming concept is that of someone who has played for a long time. #jackwhite #drums #drumming #drummer
I can't like this enough. Always watching drum tutorials, always wishing there was more videos/evidence of Jack drumming... this is just the best thing. He's my favorite
I play guitar and bass, but if I was a drummer, that exactly, would be my dream Kit, for sure! And I say that as a really meticulous and perfectionist guy!
There are not enough musicians like him, let me tell you. He is not like those dusdes that open their mouths to sing whatever song somebody gave to them; he is behind every note, every word, and he really knows how to do it right. He has grown as a musician since he was in The white stripes, he have learned, and now he apply those new things on every record he pulled out.
For those that don't know, Jack White learnt drums first. Just so happened that guitar was the only instrument the other people didn't play when he wanted to get a band going.
Dude, this is hilarious! Let's see a screenplay from Jack White! There's a weird sarcasm but he's so sincere though. God bless Jack White, thanks for releasing your new album during Lenten season.
Haha...made myself practically the same kit about 15 years ago. With a floor tom cut in half,as a snare. And a deep marching drum, and a way oversized hi hat.All drums set flat and level.Old skool supacool...never goes out of style.Gene Krupa,John Bonham. And it makes your sound more antique,in some kinda magical way.Cool stuff..Great taste, dude!!!
Holy shit I'm a drummer and I love this video. The way he has his drums set up is soo bad ass and original. I've never seen anything like how he has it set up, and I freaking love that drum head of the three brides- where can I get that?
Jack..you are, hands down one of the most inovative artists I've ever had the pleasure of listening to. drumming, guitar playing, singing...you got it all going on. your drumming, to me, surpasses Bonso's and Ringo's..maybe I'm wrong but maybe not..but man, I just gotta ask, what's up with the hair do's. I'm probably gonna smashed for saying it but I've been wondering for a long time. thanks for the many years of listening pleasure....I'm getting old but would love to see the Dead Weather live..just one time..
As much as I deeply admire White for his genius as a musician and performer, I equally love his methodically-detailed aesthetic sense (so individuated for his various different band and solo projects) which was elaborated on in this video!
Verbal and genius musician I love and perform methodically detailed pseudo aesthetically intellectual and individuated and elaborate bullshit nonsense comment.
love this guy, i remember reading an article of him describing his custom Gretsch-style guitar he made for when he was in the Racontuers. vivid creative discussion and engaging. awesome musicianship
Thanks for making me smile. I dug it. I learned to appreciate Cybele's a little more. I pick out some new drum sticks and considered buying a snare drum.
this is so cool I really dig the brides from the old Bela Lugosi Dracula movie from the thirties on the bass drum totally cool 3 brides for the third man!
jack is the man, that right there is what I love about jack white. he is not only a great musician but he knows his music and that to me is better then anything else. when is this man going to grace us with his musical knowledge I would love to take lessons or a class from him when he becomes professer jack white
The "Beatles File Photo" was Micky Dolens from The Monkees. Jack, did you put that up there to test us or honest mistak? Non the less, keep on bringing the jams. LOVE IT
That groove from Hang You from the Heavens sounded almost like something Ringo would do, but with more bombasticness. He was doing a version of the Ringo HiHat shuffle
Hittin the boom booms, making the skrilla!
My thoughts EXACTLY 💋
Regardless of your musical preference, Jack is a musician's musician through and through , a true living legend
Yes definitely, a man's man also, a great fucking showman, i love how he gets up with the beat
Jack White is so incredibly creative and original. I love how he explains his thought process. He's a very interesting person...I could listen to him talk about music all day.
"you could go have a bite and still be hearing that one" hahaha. long live Tap!
Professional musicians have talent I'll never have. Jack White has talent professional musicians will never have.
Paul Callaway brilliant
Paul Callaway man my thoughts were totally following that same train when i was watching this.
You're sad
Paul Callaway I’ll assume you’re being humorous. There are many, many professional musicians around the world who have talent equivalent to or greater than that of Jack White. I absolutely guarantee you that Jack would agree.
He has that Prince thing.
Damn. Is there anything Jack White can't play? I bet he's a mastermind on the kazoo. Good stuff.
James Matthews he doesn’t know how to play the harmonica and never will.
@@adanmontalvo8800 I think in his soul he does, I understand why he doesn't yet... I think he should..
Yeah but he's not great at anything he's okay at everything
um . He started out as a drummer.
@@adanmontalvo8800 i saw a vid of him playing one . . . and damned if i can find it again. It was a version of Hello Operator.
Jack’s scream during the little break was PERFECT. that’s what i like most about songs is the little things inbetween
Ahhh this has me even more excited for the new album
Such a surprising comment from ARTV 5 years ago!
HELLO JON! HOW IT HANGIN!
Thank God for Jack White. He is the last TRUE rock star. I love everything about this guy. Please continue to save us all, Jack. You are a soul brother.
+JunkTapes Save us form who or what?
+Shay Mary (Loky) From our musical misery, of course...
Agreed. He really is a saint.
+JunkTapes I would say that josh homme or pete doherty beats out jack white as the last true rockstar, there's nothing really rockstar about jack white, he's just a great musician.
+JunkTapes I guess you aren't familiar with John Dwyer of Thee Oh Sees or Ty Segall...
Every time I watch an interview with Jack White I learn so much in just a few minutes
The best thing to learn from this man that has the most important and beautiful soul for his guidance in his personal music preferences ...what a gift
Totally awesome. I love Jack's drumming of Dead Weather. WHAT on earth made him so talented?! I can't help admiring him and his creativity.
+Miyuki TR I think he mentioned going to a Montessori school as a kid, that type of education is all about creativity and I am pretty sure it contributed alot to how he is now...
He also grew up in a house full of instruments. His older brothers were musicians.
this is really cool. It's also interesting that he's got a whole different persona as a drummer than he did during his interviews, etc as Jack White, Band Leader
+Eric Aikin That's the scary part! :p
+Eric Aikin Interesting point...
+Edwidge Whatsosons he called you?
+Edwidge Whatsosons holy shit! Lucky you. Are you a producer or something?
+Shay Mary why is that scary?
When he started hitting the boom booms.... My goodness...
Like the Ringo/Micky Dolenz gag. Nice boom booms!
+Neville Godwin Shhhh..nobody noticed.
he should do an audio book. I could listen to him talk all night. i love the rasp.
Or a podcast. He has such a casual knowledge of music and when he's talking you feel like you're in a conversation
A flat drum set would drive me crazy. Not enough flow, but wow....can Jack truly master every instrument on the planet!? Lives and breathes music
Now I want to learn to play drums, thanks Jack.
That 7:07 riff is low-key amazing. Some Josh Homme level of good.
Yeah, he'd be a good fit for QOTSA
@@trevscribbleshahah
Is that fucking Mickey Dolenz when they cut to "Ringo" ??? HAHAHA
+Bobby Henderson Yep. Funny, right?
DTjacksonFUNTIME Amazing lol
+Bobby Henderson FILE FOOTAGE :)
I loled so hard
that's what I thought! Mickey!
Jack is such an incredible Drummer !
My brother is a HUGE fan ,once again I will follow in his footsteps. Mr. White well worth our attention !

An extremely dedicated and talented musician. He's up there with the best of the best!
Jack will always be one of the greatest and most talented people I have had the pleasure of meeting. He truly is such a versatile artist and the level of success he has is due to his ability to adapt and overcome change and to learn quickly. He plays SO many instruments and is just an incredible talented man
Now that's a really interesting setup! Love when people are innovative.
Respect! Jack is an incredible musician who can do anything he puts his mind to. His drumming concept is that of someone who has played for a long time. #jackwhite #drums #drumming #drummer
I work two blocks from Wonderland Music in Dearborn, MI. It's cool to hear a small business get a shoutout from Jack White
The intro is so School of Rock
I can't like this enough. Always watching drum tutorials, always wishing there was more videos/evidence of Jack drumming... this is just the best thing. He's my favorite
I love him.... really love him.
Very cool film treatment.
Thank You Jack White!!! for being you!
Love the interviewer, so dynamic. Asking all the right questions.
Edit- yo, that is not Ringo. Micky Dolenz.
"Hey, look, the Monkees. They were a huge influence on the Beatles."
Guitar, piano, and drums plus great songwriting & stage performance...so many talents in one man!

I've been waiting for this video for 5 years! I was always curious about this set. Very interesting as a drummer and as a filmmaker.
Me and Jack are just hanging out sure he's in my computer but in my mind he's right here teaching me drums in my lounge room thanks Jack.
Dude, this is hilarious! Let's see a screenplay from Jack White! There's a weird sarcasm but he's so sincere though. God bless Jack White, thanks for releasing your new album during Lenten season.
this is by far the best video Drumworkshop. Period
Loving the explanation in more important nostalgia to me, black and white. Love so much Jack🎶😇💪
love hearing him talk about the drums! Say Paiste again!! what's the name of the ride?

The Bo Diddley square guitar in the background is sick!

This blessed man plays everthing. Give him a cup and a spoon and you have a great single!
The Dracula Brides on the bass drum 😭🖤
Thanks for making me smile. I dug it. I learned to appreciate Cybele's a little more. I pick out some new drum sticks and considered buying a snare drum.
Would love to have a go on that kit...
I love how the channel comes back in 5 years
Now, were you rushing or were you dragging..?
Savvas Anastasiou couldn't tell because whoever mic'd the drums was deaf

I remember going to Wonderland Music in Dearborn before it shut down. Not much to see in that town, but I'm glad someone got something out of it.
This is so cool!

Hilarious cut to Mickey Dolenz when he's talking about Ringo!!
Lovin' Ringo's Perm !
That groove from Hang You from the Heavens sounded almost like something Ringo would do, but with more bombasticness. He was doing a version of the Ringo HiHat shuffle
🔥❗️Love this.
I just remembered why I love Jack White.
this is perfect
this is great
Will this version of the song ever be released ?, i love it :)
The bar lacing on his converse though. Gonna use that and a long sleeve to look like him!
Jack is the best!!!
