@@32Tdub You can't completely blame anyone other than Reeds own genes and how much his body has been through growing up. Some guys bodies just don't hold up as they get older or their playing style isn't the smartest to stay healthy.

@@boogityhoo7452 that may be true , but Jeff Heath specifically had a strange tendency to injury players other than Reed. Look at Allen Hurns just a couple years back, or Ricardo Lockette. He had a very hard nosed play style at safety that sometimes worked against him in coverage.

I find it so funny how folks will treat and act like these human beings are just made up characters and will bash them anytime they don't play like they were suppose to. Not just being disappointed but full on wishing them death and all that. It's so f***ing stupid and childish especially when half of these guys play in a free league that has nothing to give you whether you win or lose.

@@boogityhoo7452 a lot of it has to do with sports entertainment (not the wwe lol). Javale McGee pointed it out best when he called out the fact that his name and image were not controlled by himself. Sports caster and sport media personalities make money from controversy and hot takes, not reality of compassion. As such fans can be finessed both out of their money and their opinions. Put simply the narrative athletes have aren’t there’s and casuals tend to watch contrarians and provocateurs who tell them who the player is.

It’s a shame he isn’t just drafted this year - with the way things are now he may have had a different career with the awareness of concussions we have these days and maybe wouldn’t have had to feel he had to try to show/prove how tough he is.

Honestly the players pretty much all knew how dangerous getting multiple concussions is to you. Just because the NFL and other higher powers weren't talking about the full truth doesnt mean that the players weren't hearing what the possibilities could be as you get older. Most guys either dont care and think it won't happen to them or they are such a team player that they are willing to do whatever it takes to prove they can handle everything and they are the toughest on the field. It's a sad reality though.

Saw the thumbnail. Instantly, got drawn. I DEFINITELY will be watching this, later. Saw every game he played, when healthy. That was the key, WHEN. Dude caught EVERYTHING thrown his way. Did not drop pass. Great route-runner and is surprisingly, great after the catch. Had he been able to sustain, he'd be a HOF TE for sure.

I remember going to 2016 Washington training camp, They we’re doing a scrimmage and my family had a nice goal line view. Kirk throws up a fade to Jordan and he catches it with ease and i’m like 3 feet away from him, and he gave me a wave. definitely one of my favorite moments

Another awesome story Flem. As a parent with 2 sons , both going through multiple concussions playing sports ( mostly hockey)they are now in their 30’s going through similar side affects. Breakthrough findings that include controlled mushroom doses have been very successful .Wishing Mr Reed and his family a long and happy future.

It's always funny when some clown that never even played the game calls somebody soft. I live in a small town in Georgia and we've got a guy here that was a stud at UGA and was a projected 2nd round pick. A couple days before the draft he called his agent and told him he wasn't gonna play anymore. A lot of people called the guy soft and talked shit about him. What they didn't know is that the guy had so many concussions that after his last college game he spent a week in the hospital and was completely blind for the first 2 days of that. He decided right before the draft that his health was more important than the money. I'm not really friends with him, I just see him around occasionally and we have mutual friends. I've always respected him for having the balls to walk away from millions of dollars and live a normal life.

I think what makes your videos so uniquely good is the seemingly very genuine empathy you treat the people you talk about with. You don't make excuses for bad behavior, you don't slant things with your opinion, you simply discuss the subject. You may not view yourself this way but you are an outstanding journalist. I hope someday to see you getting to sit down face to face and interview these athletes.

Not only am I from Connecticut but I have played against Jordan, not in pads but in a passing league. The same passing league that had Jordan and Aaron Hernandez at the same game day. It was lit not gonna lie, I was a sophomore and was able to get playing and got to share the field with both guys. Not gonna lie, both dudes were larger than life, Aaron being the biggest of all. Jordan played QB btw and was fire 🔥 dude was a beast. We lost to them in the final round, Shelton CT vs. the New London Whalers. The Whalers busted our ass lol
