I'm 57, dx last year at 56, with symptoms before that. I've found my drive ramped up from good to great just before dx. I believe it is not just the medication that ramps up the drive. I was on no meds before dx. I read somewhere that one PD couple referred to sex as a "dopamine producing session!" I like that concept, and it makes sense to me that doing what you like, IF you can get motivated to get it going, is good for your spirit, and your brain. I hope some expert can confirm my hypothesis here? I'm fortunate to have a wife that responds to me! Like the video producer mentioned, I, too, still have school age kids in my house---all three of them! It is unfortunate that most of the literature and programs are aimed at retired age folks. I see myself going on disability soon and joining them, to have my days to take care of myself, and prevent my life from shortening more than necessary. I've worked for 42 years now. Why drag it out and watch myself fall apart?

Yes, there is not alot of information on what people who are not retired deal with PD while raising children and other issues that effect us.
