1. It's deceitful to your children 2. Santa is treated like God 3. Children begin to care more about what they're getting from "santa" instead of appreciating their parents/guardians for what they got them 4. It teaches your children that they need to be "good" instead of knowing there's no such thing as a "good person/christian" These are just my thoughts and point of view on the topic :)
My parents flat out said Santa was a lie and nowhere in the Bible. It never affected me at all as I grew older. We always had what we needed and any special toys we got if we had good behavior and good grades/ dad surprising us. It’s only weird to explain it to people now that I’m older. I completely agree with you.
Look up old Saint Nick? It’s the devil. The holidays are pagan roots and should not be celebrated. We stopped about two years ago after God opened up my eyes. We have a 5 year old and she knows Santa isn’t really and he is evil. Like Easter? East-Star bunnies don’t even lay eggs chickens do lol i did a few videos I would like to share with you! God bless you!
My siblings and I grew up believing in Santa. And when my older sister realized he wasn't real she questioned the existence of God. This is why it's also dangerous to teach kids about Santa, the Easter bunny, etc. If they aren't real they might think you were lying about God too.
Lmao exactly, which is why Christians are so threatened by fairy tales, because they're afraid their children will become smart enough to realize how ridiculous of a fairy tale religion is 😂
I agree about possibly losing faith in Christ when you learn the truth of Santa. That happened to me when I was 12 yrs old. After learning that Santa was a lie, I started questioning my relationship with Jesus and eventually, rebelled from everything I once believed and was taught. It took me many years to regain my testimony in Christ back. I’ll do my children a favor and skip the Santa lie all together.
th-cam.com/video/9VXk7iTRGao/w-d-xo.html Me too! I’m so glad we are strong enough to step out of this world and their pagan roots. I have a daughter and she know Santa isn’t real, I always hear you’re gonna take Santa from your daughter and not give her gifts. Again it’s not about gifts or anything like that it’s a pagan ritual. Did you know Jesus wasn’t even born on December 25th the pagan Gods were. I will never lie to my daughter as I’m the only one trying to tell her the truth about everything and it’s hard friend real hard. I just keep praying God will show me the path to Him. God bless you and keep praying to him to give you wisdom and show you things. Like Paul I do believe he is false, he goes against things Jesus says and then tells us we are saved by grace..? No test everything Jesus never once said that! Hope this as helped you a little. I do believe keeping his 10 commandments are very important.
I'm sorry that you couldn't understand the lie of religion as well. The indoctrination must have gone too deep, That's why Christians are so threatened by making kids believe in fairy tales, because they don't want their children to break free of the fairy tale of religious dogma.
On Christmas Eve I lost my first tooth, and I was absolutely terrified of the tooth fairy and Santa both coming into my house. I went to my mom in tears and asked her if they were real and she told me the truth.
I always grew up with believing in Santa in a lukewarm Christian household so Christmas to me was never about Jesus. This is my first year as a Christian and my whole family now are true Christians as well. We made the decision to no longer celebrate Christmas because I personally don't feel right with it being a non biblical tradition, but this time of year is still joyous for us! I think you made a great point on why teaching about Santa can confuse kids about Jesus and why it can hurt their faith! Great video as always!💕
I mean technically Christmas is about Jesus it’s just been distorted so I don’t see why you guys wouldn’t celebrate it but that’s just me. My grandma always made us read a bible story in front of everyone and we’d have a cupcake with a candle in it and we’d sing happy birthday to Jesus. I also grew up in a lukewarm household
@@blaschin16 If Christmas was truly about Jesus then the world wouldn't celebrate it because the world hates Jesus. John 15:18-19. It is up to each person to celebrate it or not, always ask God for guidance😊
@@Mickingill You’re right and how do we know that Jesus was actually born on December 25th. To me, we should always celebrate the day Jesus was born, everyday not just one day of the year, like come on, that’s messed up. We should celebrate our Savior’s birth and Resurrection everyday.
@@Mickingill the world doesn't celebrate his birth, they celebrate "Christmas cheer" and all of that. it's like saying if kindness was truly about Jesus then the world wouldn't show it because the world hates Jesus. Christmas is especially important to Christians, as it is Jesus' birth which lead to Jesus' death on the cross for our sins- if you don't believe or celebrate in any of those, then why are you a Christian, right? I don't want to say this but you guys may be cold/still lukewarm Christians if you truly believe this, OR it could just be a common mistake, which in that case, I'm extremely glad i told you about this.
I so agree! My daughter is 7 months old and my husband and I decided we aren’t going to do “Santa” in our house. We also decided we are only doing 3 gifts, which obviously goes for myself and my husband too. We decided on that so we can tie Jesus getting the 3 gifts from the wise men! She gets plenty of gifts from her grandparents so we don’t feel like it’s necessary to go all out buying gifts because it ultimately takes away from the true meaning. ❤️
My siblings and I never had Santa growing up and we've never had that many presents either. I wouldn't have it any other way... It puts the focus on Jesus and reminds us who and what we are actually celebrating.
@@littlerascaleventing I've seen follow up videos - that boy has had so many others send him toys and yes, nerf guns, such that he and his parents are donating the extras to charities for children without gifts this Christmas. God is good! Tragedy and drama turned around for good.
I feel like Santa is also how the world portrays Jesus sometimes like "he gives you whatever you want but you have to be good" which is not the gospel so that can be confusing for your kids. 100% agree! Thanks for making this video!
You’re talking about the Christmas chronicles 2 aren’t you! My friend and I watched it and we were like ohh my gosh the whole movie we were like they are treating him like God
@@janaeg2698 right, when you replace Santa with God it’s right. God does know when you’re good or bad and he knows when you’re awake. God watches us always.
My sister and I grew up knowing that Santa and the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny weren't real, and I hope to raise my future kids in the same way. I agree with you on the fact that lying to your kids about Santa (or anything else) is going to wear down their trust in you, especially when you tell them about the Gospel. Loved the video!
I was telling my mom about this the other day, she was telling my brother to be good so she can tell Santa that he was being good to give him his gifts. And I tried to tell my mom that it’s not right telling him lies like that. But she didn’t want me to spoil it for him so I just said ok. I don’t want to spoil Christmas for him either but I don’t want to be lying to him or agreeing with the lies he’s told, so I kinda want to tell him the truth and that it’s about Jesus and not Santa
Hi. The first person commenting already said what needed to be said so I will only add this: it's good that you don't like what your parents has decided. But instead of trying to solve this yourself, may I suggest praying about it? I don't think Jesus is super keen on Santa either. :) God bless you and your family.
@@madisonouten487 you should tell your mom that instead of telling your brother to be good for Santa, he should be good for God. Because God is the judge and sees all.
I told my son the true story of Saint Nicholas, and how Santa honors that tradition. My concern was that if we are telling him about Santa, the Easter bunny, tooth fairy..how can I then expect him to believe god and Christ are réal?
My husband posed it this way and it made me laugh, “what are you supposed to say when they find out and get really upset? oh yeah, sorry billy, I just enjoy deceiving you” ...... I thought we were the only ones who felt like the whole Santa thing was unnecessary. Thanks for sharing your opinion ♥️ we currently have a two year old boy and a 3 month old girl
I agree with this, I feel like I would be lying to whatever future kids I may possibly have. I also want to focus it more on Christ. I would let them watch Christmas Movies though, but make sure they know that they're just fun and fiction.
I definitely agree. The lying part of it all really started to get to me I had to switch it up for my kids a few years ago and make it Christ centered. Also make it not only about getting gifts but giving to less fortunate , building memories with them through baking , making gingerbread houses etc... 💛💛💛
When I was younger my parents told me that Santa was going to give me gifts if I was good so I believed in it but around 4th grade on the bus people were saying how Santa wasn’t real and has valid reasons why and then I started thinking and found out it was true and it kinda made me feel disappointed that my parents would lie to me like that but as I grow older I just don’t want others to think that Santa is real and that Jesus is the reason for the season!
My brother had a similar experience when he was 12 and got in a huge argument. and when he got home had to ask my mom and was really sad and mad. But it's funny my younger sister is so smart figured it out all on her own when she was 6 and flat out told my mom she new 😂
I’ve been a Christian for about nine years, I was raised Catholic. My mom and dad told me about Santa, eventually as time went on I found out the truth. I honestly enjoy it, I had fun with it as a child, that being said I don’t know if I’ll pass it on to my kids. That’s a discussion to have once I meet a very special lady. Although if we don’t tell them about Santa and Rudolph… All that stuff it’s not gonna kill anyone. I really like the points you presented in this video, I love watching Christmas movies this time of year, I would love to continue to do so with my family one day. Are you going to tell your kids about who Saint Nicholas truly was? Does that even matter?
You Nailed it! Loved this! I was just going to make a video on this topic as well. I have a 10yr old and a six yr old and for their early years against my husband's judgement I encouraged them to believe in Santa like I did growing up. I thought I want them to have the excitement and fun memories like I did. ( my husband never grew up believing) I thought it was mean to not let them believe until I went to God about it and he showed me lieing about anything big or small is never the right answer. You said it so good just now how can we expect our kids to grow up and not question Jesus after they learn Santa isn't real. I also thought to myself why in the world is some made up home intruder going to get the credit for the gifts we give them, when in all actuality it's a blessing from the lord that we can afford to buy them a few gifts. So for the past 2 years I have told my girls that Christmas is the time when we celebrate the birthday of the one who made us and it's the love of Jesus and how giving and loving he is to us. Because of his mercy and forgiveness for our short comings throughout the year he shares his birthday presents with those who love him by blessing childrens parents with the heart and mind to give back to less fortunate and to give a few gifts to their children as well. So on out gifts we always write to : the girls love: Jesus it's been really good for them. They don't feel like they have missed out. Plus most importantly they don't feel entitled to a million presents for doing nothing. It's crazy how our minds can trick us into the ways of the world. Like in the world they preach all time to our children to never take candy from strangers but then encourage it on Halloween. Lol As children of God we are to come out from amongst them and live in the world but not of it. I'm finally understanding the meaning of those scriptures. Great video ! God bless you . Merry Christmas
Hey! This is a little random but I’ve been watching your videos for a while and love your content! I just finished my devotional for this year and I’m looking for a new one. Is there a daily devotional you’ve particularly enjoyed and would recommend?
I love your reasoning behind all of this. Especially with gifts, I am 18/young lol but I have thought about this before if God gives me kids I want to give them more experiences as well.
I teach my 5 year old that Christmas is about the birth of Jesus. I see he wants to give in to the whole Santa thing and honestly I grew up loving Santa claus and I turned out fine My faith is not affected today. But I just want my son's focus on Christ. So when I see he wants to get excited about Santa, I tell him it's ok to pretend, but you know the truth. My son is very wise and mature for his age and he seems okay without the Santa claus fixation.
I grew up knowing Santa wasn't real but I remember one year secretly putting some pieces of bread in the letterbox since apparently Santa and the reindeer *magically* know where to find their food. I didn't tell anyone in my family, snuck out in the morning to find the bread still there, crusted from the air, and muttered "I knew it". That was at least 15yrs ago and only told my Mum about it last year 😂
It's hard when most of us are brought up in worldy traditions. I know that I don't want to teach my kids about Christmas, Easter, and everything with those storyline. However, I know my mother is gonna disagree with me. She's a lukewarm christian who thinks lgbt is okay, christmas, halloween etc. As long as it's not nothing too crazy. I disagree with her highly but she makes it seem like im being overly religious. It's just hard living in the same house with people who don't believe or support your views. (I have to honor my mother too so i don't argue with her)
It's a shame I can't like this video twice. This might be my favorite channel on TH-cam along with Cimorelli because I just love her personality so much.
Thank you so much for this video! You took the words right out of my mouth. My husband and I have a 7 year old son and we agreed before we got married that we would not teach our kids to believe in Santa. And I feel like he's better off for it. I also remember how angry I was with my mom when I found out Santa wasn't real as a kid. I felt really hurt and betrayed. Our son still loves Christmas and he still gets gifts but most of all it makes us feel good to know that we're not lying to our son. We can't expect him to tell us the truth if we're not honest with him.
I grew up without believing in Santa and I’m grateful for it! My boyfriend on the other hand, grew up believing in him and wants to do it with his future kids, and I don’t... I share your same reasonings! I think it’s something I could put up with if he doesn’t bend on it because I know he turned out perfectly fine and has great memories because of it, but it definitely wouldn’t be my first choice!
I love this. I was a very young mom and it was so hard for me having this unpopular opinion where people would act like I was a mean mom but at the end of the day my daughter knows the full story and she knows that I would never lie to her. My kids often impress me with their discernment and they actually both really dislike Santa on the whole anyways so it works out.
We are including Santa Claus but we're doing it differently. when our kiddo is old enough where they have suspicions that Santa isn't an actual person we are going to explain that Santa is the act of unselfish giving. We'll have them pick someone they want to give a gift to someone but never reveal you were the gift giver. To have them learn that giving gifts are best when they come from the heart and are from unselfish love. For example a neighbor that needs new slippers we would wrap the new slippers up and leave it on the porch and not reveal who it was from. I never believed in santa lol so we'll see what our kiddo believes. And we're doing only a few gifts and not a lot too. We haven't decided how many but not a lot either.
My parents from the beginning told us that St. Nick was a real person but he’s not alive anymore. But the idea of Santa still lives where we can gift others presents out of the kindness of our hearts and not because they deserve them. And for Christmas time we got presents from our family and then both “Santa” and Jesus. We fully understood that the gifts were from our parents but they did it for the fun of it and I appreciate it. My fiancé and I are in agreement that we’ll be honest with our future kids when it comes to Santa.
My family raised us to believe in Santa and that he could talk to God about how good we were or whatnot, but I knew gifts came from my parents later on in elementary school. It's still kind of a joke among us, but after I was born again I realized what "Santa" was an anagram for and I will make sure my future kids know where Christmas gifts come from, and what the holiday REALLY celebrates.
I'm not sure why I decided to watch this video when I saw it in my suggestions because this idea is what I grew up on. But good for you!! All the reasons are exactly why I'm so glad I grew up without being fed the lies about holiday creatures. I guess it's a lot more common and acceptable among Brazilian Christians, but I recommend it to everyone! Truly, the main reason I always use to back it up is not being lied to by your family and building a trusting relationship is so *so* important! Subscribed : )
Love this!! This is exactly how I was raised! My parents said they never wanted to lie to their kids and for us to grow up resenting them and then question the realness of Jesus. We still do all the other Christmas things like watch movies and decorate, but the main focus is on remembering the birth of Jesus and giving.
I have been on the fence about this since coming to Christ. I have never thought about it like this. Thank you for clarifying this and giving this perspective!
Okay! I never comment in videos but this is GOLD girl.. We just told my in-laws we are not doing Santa in our home and it was like a devastating thing for them. I felt bad for a moment and my husband too. But we talked again and came with the same conclusion of doing Santa is not beneficial, is not biblical and we have to hold fast with the truth even when (many time) it might hurt others. Thanks for sharing this!!! I really felt like a weird one talking about this.
Love this video! I have a 10 month old and went all out on gifts. Key is that I bought all of them second hand (FB marketplace mostly). But I've been debating about the "Santa" issue as a Christian and you articulated so many points I identify with. Also love in the future the 4 gift idea! Many thanks for articulating the thoughts I've shared :-)
Understandable, however, you cannot serve too masters. One has to be dismissed. No one can serve Jesus and the US holidays at the same time. May the Lord God have mercy on your family, and little sister, because it's basically a lie you all have accepted. One love. Be with God.
@@CordEldridge I don't think anyone serves Santa. He's a fictional character based off a saint. Saint Nicholas of Myra, hence why they also call Santa, Old Saint Nick.
@@latrinity2412 I get that. But the story of Santa is he has a naughty and good list and he come givingg gifts. How is that not God? Idk if He has a people going to hell list, but He has a book of life and the ones who believe and are sanctified and live in the spirit will recieve the gift of eternal life and those who don't will not get that gift and will pay the wages of sin. And 'santa sees everything's that's what the bible says about GOD.
@@nyambsdeborah8954 yeah i understand that point it's just that I've always known Santa to be based off the Saint. I think parents would have added that whole naughty and nice list to get their kids to behave instead of just teaching their kids why they shouldn't do certain things. But I understand your point it's valid.
I wasn't brought I believing in Santa however we let our kids believe if they chose to. My 10 year old Son now doesn't and my 8 year old daughter is skeptical now haha. That being said we NOT ONCE have had a present under the tree labled From Santa, and they never noticed hehe
I grew up trying to prove Santa wasn’t real and up until 5 years ago I imagined Jesus like a character in a fairytale. I thank God for setting me straight
this really made me think 🤔 i grew up believing in santa until i was like 13 and got so many presents as an only child. i also love jesus and was saved at 14. don’t think it affected me at all, but see how the focus is on santa rather than jesus. definitely got me questioning whether i want to tell my kids or not
My daughter is 8 and we have never told her about santa we see him as a figure like the easter bunny or tooth fairy ect. We agree that it takes from the true meaning of Christmas. My daughter has never felt left out from her friends not believing in santa. My daughter is just like you she's too smart to be tricked anyways 🤣
I grew up with my parents telling me that Santa was real. I stopped believing in him when I was 11 though. Funny thing is my mom and I were just talking about this the other day since we have my nephew this Christmas. We're going to talk to my sister before any decision is made, but I decided that I won't do the Santa thing with my future kids, it just feels wrong. Same with Halloween.
We have 3 daughters - and totally understand what you are saying, and I agree totally, even though they have all believed in Father Christmas. I simply refuse to have an Elf on a Shelf... that's just too far!! 🤔
my teacher at school told me that santa wasn't real when i was 8 😹 i lost trust in my parents and cried everyday for like a week . all you're going to do by teaching your kids about santa is eventually traumatize them .
When I was little a girl told me Santa wasn't real and I told her if she doesn't believe in Santa then she doesn't believe in God cause I thought Santa and God were buddies because of Christmas.😂😬
@@NastasiaGrace They are...if you consider Holy Bishop Nicolas to be a buddy of God! There are over 1800 churches throughout Christendom dedicated to Nicolas...did you know that?
I saw the title and i saw that it said “ are we giving our kids presents” my parents didn’t really get us presents but every year we would give back to a family that was in need and it was sooo kind
Quality over quantity is something I learned pretty quick from my grandparents. Interesting reasoning too... Makes you think... Kinda thinking I'll do it similarly now. Never thought about that type of stuff. Didn't really bother me when I found out about Santa, but your reasons definitely make sense.
wow I've been thinking about this! Thank you for this video and God bless you and everyone in the comments! I don't have kids lol but when I do they will not be learning about Santa!
My husband is against Santa because he doesn’t like the lie. I was iffy about it until I rediscovered my faith and I really feel like Santa is over glorified. Our son is 2.5. He knows what Santa is from tv but by next Christmas When he’s understanding things a little more, we will continue to not have Santa as a part of Christmas but just a character.
As a kid I grew up watching all those movies where the people that didn't believe in santa were the bad wrong people so I tried so hard to believe in Santa because I wanted to be good.
I was just talking to a coworker yesterday about me not telling my kids (when I have them) That We’re not going to raise them to believe in santa. It’s all pointless. And takes the focus of off Jesus. It’s one of the devils strategy. You made a great point about the lie in the middle there
For me growing up LDS, my family has always had santa and made time for Christ. I grew up believing in the christmas magic of Santa and also acknowledging that the main focus of the holiday should be on Christ. For me Santa should be an embodiment of everything that is good about the season of Christmas, giving, being kind, giving generously to those around us. I think as a Christian you can wholeheartedly serve God and celebrate Christ while also letting children believe in the magic of Santa. But that's just my experiences
It took a while before my parents told us that Santa and the Easter bunny wasn't real but they still tell my brother about Santa we still give out presents but I feel like at the same time you should not lie to your kids
You made some very wise, well-thought-out points. God bless you for making controversial videos to encourage fellow believers to draw closer to Christ and walk even more firmly in His Way. I grew up in a strong Christian home and my parents also did not celebrate Santa. All my sisters and I agree we had an incredible, Christ-filled, memory-soaked childhood and none of us feel like we missed out on anything important. I’m actually incredibly grateful that my parents did the “weird” thing and kept Santa out of our home (and now my husband and I do the same - ALL Jesus, no Santa). As children, we would watch some Christmas movies - it wasn’t a free-for-all; my Mom kept boundaries even for Christmas movies, but we knew about Santa, we watched a few movies with Santa, but we were grounded in the Word of God and knew “Saint Nicholas” was a godly man who lived a long time ago and lived a generous life to help people. And we knew other kids believed in the pretend story, but as a child, it was all just knowledge to us. I remember being little on Christmas Eve, and pretending on my own that I would be listening for Santa’s reindeer (it was all around us at school and on the TV, there was no getting away from it 😉) but I fully knew and believed it was pretend, and I was a very imaginative child, so it was fun for me to lay on my bed and pretend about Santa and his reindeer. But on the other hand, because I’m a certain personality, and was always super drawn to fantasy and fiction and pretend and mythical things, I am very glad my parents steered me clear of things that could’ve been stumbling blocks or snares for me - such as Santa, D&D, The Sims, secular fantasy fiction books, magic, etc, because things that take the place and importance of God in our lives are different for each person, but losing myself in the fantasy/imaginative things of life was especially tempting for me. I’m grateful my parents raised my sisters and I with Christ at the center of everything, and everything compared to His Word, and no lies told for fantasy’s sake. And now my husband and I are raising our children in the same way. 🙏🏼📖❤️
I grew up knowing Santa was not real - and to be honest as a child sometimes I felt sad seeing the joy in other kids expecting Santa. Same with all the Christmas movies on TV involving Santa. It just felt weird to me. BUT I will say - now that I’m older and have 2 of my own kids, I 100% see the reasoning behind why my parents did what they did and I swore I would do the Santa thing for my kids but now I’m really not sure what to do. They are young enough not to understand yet so I have some time to talk it over with my husband. But I’m really feeling in my heart the Santa thing is not the way to go for us. I don’t want my children to celebrate Christmas for any reason other then celebrating Jesus and what He did for us. I also agree with what you said about the gifts. I don’t want them obsessed with toys and things! Great video though thanks for the perspective 🙏🏼
I have always thought I would like to be honest to my children about Santa, but I always worried about them ruining other children’s belief. However, after hearing this, I am positive I will be telling them the truth!
I agree with it all! Thank you I want to raise my children like that. To teach them about Jesus and celebrate him. I agree there'll be confusion ... I grew up knowing santa yes but never really believed in him much. Something just always felt weird about him.
ME TOO!! Next time you go use the Citizen Way discount! My dad is in the band, he’s the lead singer and we have our own discount that your welcome to use! Herban is practically our second home 😂😂😂
Amen it's a pagan holiday. That's why it's stated that many people will be called but only a few will make it to heaven. People need to think that if everyone is celebrating the same thing sme holidays??🤔how are we being different from the world things. That means holidays are false. Sad to think people don't look I to it as much or read about it. I rather be safe then sorry. Same with birthdays. Why are we praising humans and people if we're not Jesus. Onky person that should be praised is Jesus and because no where it states when he was born or the time it's just a big lie around Christmas that christains blindly believe in.
I grew up loving to celebrate Christmas and watching Christmas movies. My parents never pushed too hard the whole Santa thing. I just thought he was real because of all the movies and they'd let me set out carrots and cookies but I always remembered getting presents with it saying from: Jesus. I think your viewpoint is a very good way of looking at it. I understand why you believe it and I'm considering doing the same thing when I have children. I do think that some of what made you decide this for your children had something to do with your childhood but thats just a guess. How you were treated as a kid is how you'll treat your kids, I imagine. So yeah, I am a big fan of Christmas movies but I'm gonna probably do what you said too.
My brother and I believed in Santa when we were really young but I don't think it was enough to where we were sad/devastated when we found out he wasn't real. I can't even remember when I stopped believing so it obviously didn't make a big impact on me. I remember an instance when I was around 10 or so and was telling my mom how Santa and Jesus had a lot of similarities and I remember thinking that "we should be good because Jesus says to rather than because Santa says to."
What do you say to people who celebrate Dec. 6th as the feast day of ST Nicolas? He was a very important character in our church when we were growing up.....He was a real person you know! and Santa Claus is German for Saint or Holy Claus (Nicolas).......
i’m 17 so i don’t think about this too much but i might to it for a little while maybe 2-5 years and then explain it to my oldest child and tell them to not ruin it for their siblings and other kids at school. i’ll probably just do 1-3 gifts “from santa” and them be cheaper and more expensive gifts saying from mom and dad
Wait, just a little minute here...I just realized something Santa and Satan have the same letters and are spelled similar. I don't think that's a coincidence.
I just started this video and I'm so excited to hear your thoughts on it. I definitely agree and will not be teaching my future kids about santa. It serves no purpose, I believe that its leading young children into practicing idolatry (santa is painted as a "god-like" figure and some kids will literally 'pray' to him) and the disappointment (when they discover that he is not real) is completely unnecessary. I'd hate for that experience to lead them into doubting the existence and goodness of God. I could go on about this but I'm super excited to hear your thoughts. xxx
I don’t want to be attacked for saying this I just want to be honest... If you are a Christian you should not teach your kids to believe in Santa. You should not believe in Santa and you should not grab things and participate in things that involve him (Santa) (same as Halloween)... How about tell them the real meaning of Christmas... Tell them about Jesus. As a woman of God and as the world is getting closer to an end because I believe Jesus is coming back soon, and we need to start teaching our kids the right way and even others... Read Probverbs 22:6 KJV ... also we’re all sinners even babies when they come out the womb ... hey even in the womb. We need to teach them godly ways from birth pray with your newborn pray with your tween or teen etc ... do all that ... show everyone the right way to do things because we can't keep going around talking so sweet because we don’t want to be hated or looked at bad or whatever ... we have to be honest. But great advice ! I love your videos already. ♥️♥️♥️ new subscriber
I totally agree with you as the worlds holidays are pagan, YHWY does NOT want us to celebrate them. Jesus wasn’t even born in December at all. The pagan gods were. We’ve been deceived since we were little. Like going to the moon, we did NOT go to the moon they have lied to us. The sun and moon was put in the firmament to give us light upon the earth and for seasons and times. NASA means - to deceive. Also old saint nice look him up on google- it’s the devil. They don’t hide anything from us but some people can not see some stuff. Jesus is coming back soon and people need to wake up before it’s to late. God bless you and it’s been nice talking to you! I love people are talking more about Jesus praise God.
@10:03 yessss i feel like a lot of Christians are so focused on the aspect of speaking truth by the book that they miss out on what God is actually asking us to do: be a blessing. I've had this conversation several times with my friends about numerous situations and the conclusion is, when you're at a crossroads as to what you should do or say, keep in mind your words and actions could be a blessing to a person or steer their opinion of Christians(in general), or even His Word in the wrong way. Not to say we should keep up a good but false image as a Christian, but our identities as children of God is Love, and if they can't feel or see love in our lives then what makes you think they're gonna listen to what we have to say beyond common decency. In my opinion, I don't think it's denying the truth, it's just not exactly the right time to talk abt it yet, especially if that person hasn't accepted Christ in their life.
I plan on doing Santa if I have children. You know why? Children are little brats and don't deserve gifts, but I'll spoil them anyway. Just like we are all sinners and don't deserve the Kingdom of Heaven, but God gave us Jesus anyway. Can I get a Hallelujah and an Amen?
I was that one kid in 2nd grade who started reciting romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” whenever kids were talking about naughty and nice lists 😭
1. It's deceitful to your children
2. Santa is treated like God
3. Children begin to care more about what they're getting from "santa" instead of appreciating their parents/guardians for what they got them
4. It teaches your children that they need to be "good" instead of knowing there's no such thing as a "good person/christian"
These are just my thoughts and point of view on the topic :)
Good point!
My parents flat out said Santa was a lie and nowhere in the Bible. It never affected me at all as I grew older. We always had what we needed and any special toys we got if we had good behavior and good grades/ dad surprising us. It’s only weird to explain it to people now that I’m older. I completely agree with you.
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Santa is based on the Bishop of Myrah who thought Christ’s divinity was so important he slapped heretics.
@@ProJatior thank you! I did not know so
Look up old Saint Nick? It’s the devil. The holidays are pagan roots and should not be celebrated. We stopped about two years ago after God opened up my eyes. We have a 5 year old and she knows Santa isn’t really and he is evil. Like Easter? East-Star bunnies don’t even lay eggs chickens do lol i did a few videos I would like to share with you! God bless you!
@@alt041 This makes me so happy to read such truth. Thank you for sharing my sister.
Be with God.
My siblings and I grew up believing in Santa. And when my older sister realized he wasn't real she questioned the existence of God. This is why it's also dangerous to teach kids about Santa, the Easter bunny, etc. If they aren't real they might think you were lying about God too.
Exactly. Kids are smart we have to be careful on how we raise them.
So so true!
Noo
So how can you be sure about god?
Lmao exactly, which is why Christians are so threatened by fairy tales, because they're afraid their children will become smart enough to realize how ridiculous of a fairy tale religion is 😂
I agree about possibly losing faith in Christ when you learn the truth of Santa. That happened to me when I was 12 yrs old. After learning that Santa was a lie, I started questioning my relationship with Jesus and eventually, rebelled from everything I once believed and was taught. It took me many years to regain my testimony in Christ back. I’ll do my children a favor and skip the Santa lie all together.

Me too!

It’s not a lie
@@tiffprendergast what’s not a lie? Can you show me a bible verse that tell me other wise?
I'm sorry that you couldn't understand the lie of religion as well. The indoctrination must have gone too deep, That's why Christians are so threatened by making kids believe in fairy tales, because they don't want their children to break free of the fairy tale of religious dogma.
On Christmas Eve I lost my first tooth, and I was absolutely terrified of the tooth fairy and Santa both coming into my house. I went to my mom in tears and asked her if they were real and she told me the truth.
oh my gosh that is AMAZING hahaha!
ooh, man that would totally RULE!! You should have been excited to see the rumble that night, TOOTH FAIRY VS SANTA, THE EPIC SMACKDOWN OF THE AGES!!!
or... maybe you were scared because santa would only leave you toothbrushes and toothpase and floss instead of the good stuff
That's a short story I wouldn't mind reading though. Santa and the tooth fairy on the same night.
@@adalise.9982 It's funny cause most Christians celebrate Christmas but recognize that it's not Jesus's birthday so it's like 🤷♀️
@@Mickingill the world doesn't celebrate his birth, they celebrate "Christmas cheer" and all of that. it's like saying if kindness was truly about Jesus then the world wouldn't show it because the world hates Jesus.
I love that idea!!!
My siblings and I never had Santa growing up and we've never had that many presents either.
I wouldn't have it any other way... It puts the focus on Jesus and reminds us who and what we are actually celebrating.
Our family did 3 gifts to represent the wise men bringing gold, frankincense, and myrrh! 🎄

@Deanna W thank you, I just wish my mom wouldn’t just tell him about the Santa but to tell him more about Jesus instead.
Hi. The first person commenting already said what needed to be said so I will only add this: it's good that you don't like what your parents has decided. But instead of trying to solve this yourself, may I suggest praying about it? I don't think Jesus is super keen on Santa either. :) God bless you and your family.

that's amazing i lovet that!!!
Ephesians 4:25
Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.
No he’s not
Now that I've watched this video, I completely agree with your reasons!
So glad to see other Christians that see this as well! Wow thank you for putting this out here!
Oh my gosh! How you found out he wasn’t real; to funny! I found out the EXACT same way!
hahaha right?! straight to the point lol
Wow, I never really thought of things in this perspective. This is so true. I didn't grow up believing in Santa and neither did my siblings.
I have been on the fence about this since coming to Christ. I have never thought about it like this. Thank you for clarifying this and giving this perspective!
This is gonna be good. I can already tell.
Yes! Thank you. We made the same decision.
I agree completely I will not teach my children about Santa if I have any.

In Hungary (where I live) and some other European country actually baby Jesus brings the presents.
But isnt that still a lie?
@@naomihofer3788 yes, I just shared this information , bc I thought it’s interesting...
I wish there were more parents like you will be, when you have children you should write a book 💞👑🦁🦅🌈🕊 God bless your future family!!!
I could not agree more with this!
💯agree. you guys will be great parents 💖
Hi Nastasia!,
Have you been to herban market? It is SO good!!
yes I LOVE Herban!!
ME TOO!! Next time you go use the Citizen Way discount! My dad is in the band, he’s the lead singer and we have our own discount that your welcome to use! Herban is practically our second home 😂😂😂
It's all a lie and there's no relevance in idolizing any of these holidays. Christmas has nothing to do with worshipping God, the Father or Jesus.
Facts. Christmas is a pagan holiday!
@@silverfmj7007 Amen.
@@silverfmj7007 unfortunately, many will fall away before the day of the Lord.

Onky person that should be praised is Jesus and because no where it states when he was born or the time it's just a big lie around Christmas that christains blindly believe in.
my parents did the santa clause thing but it wasn’t that important and it was never the MEANING of Christmas. if i have kids i will not be though.
Well Jesus was not born on Christmas
Good video and I agree with you it's should be about Lord Jesus that the true meaning of christmas always
Awesome ! Please tell me you have a video on halloween too ?
it's on it's way!
What do you say to people who celebrate Dec. 6th as the feast day of ST Nicolas? He was a very important character in our church when we were growing up.....He was a real person you know! and Santa Claus is German for Saint or Holy Claus (Nicolas).......
At what age should you tell them?
i’m 17 so i don’t think about this too much but i might to it for a little while maybe 2-5 years and then explain it to my oldest child and tell them to not ruin it for their siblings and other kids at school. i’ll probably just do 1-3 gifts “from santa” and them be cheaper and more expensive gifts saying from mom and dad
Read Probverbs 22:6 KJV
... also we’re all sinners even babies when they come out the womb ... hey even in the womb.
